The INM simulation program is used to estimate the condition of the exposed area to the noise near a military airport in Korea. $WECPNL_k$, the evaluation unit of korean airport noise, is different from the ICAO $WECPNL_I$ that is used in the simulation program. Therefore, it is inappropriate to compare these units each other directly. This study presents method of comparison between them by using $LA_{MAX}$. The aircraft events are classified into three classes, as departure, overfly and approach. In result, the measurement and simulation seemed to be similar at departure and approach pattern. However, overfly pattern had higher errors between measurement and simulation. Finally, it is necessary to examine the method to determine flight events and duration for the $WECPNL_k$ application.

Since the reports of CMR(colossal magnetoresistance) effects in some single crystal R-P phase $La_{1+x}Sr_{2-x}Mn_2O_7$, considerable researches have been carried out to find optimum composition and to understand the role of dimensionality in the CMR mechanism of this system. In this study, layered perovskite $Ln_xCa_{1-x}MnO_{4}$ (x=0.5, Ln=Pr, Nd, Sm, Gd) phases were synthesized by solid state reaction and their structures were refined by Rietveld method. Electrical and magnetic properties were measured between room temperature and liquid helium temperature and compared with those of two dimensional $La_{1.4}Sr_{1.6}Mn_2O_7$ phase.

Le propos de la presente consideration est de deceler Ie probleme du costume au niveau de probleme de l'art pur qui, comme dit Hegel, repond a un besoin primitif qui consiste a exterioriser et a concretiser les representations et les idees nees dans I'esprit humain. II va de soi que c'est une sorte de problemes appartenants a la theorie generale du costume. Mais il nous semble que chez nous on a neglige d'analyser les elements du costume sous l'angle de cette exteriorisation de l'idee esthetique que nous avons essay de souligner. Nous avons pris cette fois, pour un modele de ce sujet, les costumes sous Justinien (527-565) de l'Empire byzantin.

Langasite(La3Ga5SiO14) is a new piezoelectric material which is similar to quartz, LN(LiNbO3) and LT(LiTaO3) in its acoustic behavior. In this study, pure Langasite and Langasite family groups were synthesized by the solid state reactions in air. For the synthesis process, diffusion species were investigated and sintered body of synthesized powders were studied on dielectric property according to surface microstructures.

Adaptive responses to diverse microbial pathogens might be limited in relatively few types. Host cell responses to pathogens are believed to be patterned or stereotyped along with species or class. We tried to compose the host response to Mycoplasma in terms of cellular gene expression. Although gene expression profile of two host HeLa and 293 cells were quite different each other, 30 genes were differentially expressed by mycoplasma infection in both of HeLa and 293 cells. Six of them (PR48, MADH4, MKPX, CRK, RBM7, NEK3) were related to cell cycle or proliferation. Another category of genes like IL1 HY1, KLRF1, TNFSF14, GBP1 were host defense to elicit immune responses. With this set of genes, we establish the prediction model for mycoplasma contamination.

The aim of the study was analyzed effect of the interaction with contents (IC), learning satisfaction (LS) and learning achievement (LA) through evaluation of the self-directed learning ability (SDLA) and immersion in learning (IL) for online learning application in the radiation therapy. A total of fifty university students who completed the radiation therapy course were be surveyed. There was significant positive correlation with the IC and the intention to continue using (ICU) in SDLA, and IC, LS, LA, and ICU in LC. The online learning application could be increase the satisfaction and achievement of radiation therapy learning.

본 연구는 돌연변이원인 자외선과 ethyl methanesulfonate(EMS) 그리고 bleomycin(BLM)을 전처리한 HeLa 세포에서 세포막에 존재하는 glycoconiugates에 미치는 이들 돌연변이원의 효과를 밝히기 위하여 세포생존 실험법과 Lectin cytochemistry법으로 조사하였다. 1 mM EMS를 전처리한 후 10 mM EMS를 처리한 군의 세포생존율은 10 mM EMS를 단독처리한 군의 세포생존율 보다 더 높았다. 그리고 10 mM EMS 단독처리군 보다 1 mM EMS를 전처 리 한 후 10 mM EMS를 처리한 군에서 Wheat germ agglutinin (WGA)은 더욱 강한 양성반응을 보였다. 반면에 succinylated wheat germ agglutinin (SWGA)는 10 mM EMS 단독처리군과 1 mM EMS를 전처리한 후 10mM EMS를 처리한 군에서 차이가 없었다. 이상의 결과들을 종합해 볼 때, HeLa세포에서 EMS에 대한 획득된 저항성은 다내약제성 또는 적응반응과 관련되는 원형질막의 sialic acid를 포함한 glycoconiugates와 관계 될 것으로 추측된다.

[ ${\beta}-Galactosidase$ ] (lactase)를 생산하는 유산균을 선별하고 그들이 생산하는 ${\beta}-galactosidase$의 특성을 조사하였다. X-gal이 포함된 MRS배지에서 푸른색을 나타내는 약 100여개의 콜로니를 김치로부터 분리하였다. 그들 중 ET-1과 LA-12 두 균주를 최종 선별하였으며, 16S rDNa 염기서열 분석을 통해 각 각 Lactobacillus fermentum과 L. acidophilus와 상동성이 높은 Lactobacillus 속으로 동정되었다. 선별된 두 균주는 높은 ${\beta}-galactosidase$ activeity와 우수한 생존력을 나타내었으며, 이들이 생산하는 ${\beta}-galactosidase$의 최적 활성조건을 조사한 결과, 반응온도 $55^{\circ}C$에서 가장 높은 활성을 나타내었으며, 반응 pH의 경우 ET-1은 pH 5.5에서 최고 활성을 나타내었고, LA-12는 pH7.0에서 가장 높은 활성을 보였다. 선별 유산균 ET-1과 LA-12는 위액과 담즙산액에 대해 우수한 내성을 나타내었다. 두 개의 선별 균주는 인공위액에 3시간 배양 후 초기 생균수와 비교하여 생균수 변화가 거의 없었고, 담즙산액으로 사용한 0.3% oxgall에서 24시간 반응 후에도 1 log cycle 정도 감소된 $10^8CFU/ml$의 생균수를 유지하였다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 유산균 ET-1과 LA-12는 유제품 산업에 이용 가능성이 크다고 판단된다.

이 연구에서는 최근 25년간의 우리나라 기상청 및 일본 기상청 자료를 사용하여 선박의 안전에 크게 영향을 미치는 태풍과 엘니뇨 라니냐 현상과의 관계를 분석하였다. 주요 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 엘니뇨 발생년의 연평균 태풍 발생 수는 23.9개이고, 라니냐 발생년의 그것은 24.9개이다. 엘니뇨 발생년에 태풍의 발생 수가 감소한다는 사실을 알 수 있다. 태풍의 세기를 나타내는 평균 중심최저기압과 평균 최대 풍속은 엘니뇨 발생년에 959.3hPa과 35.8m/s, 라니냐 발생년에 965.5hPa과 33.7m/s이었다. 즉, 엘니뇨 발생년의 태풍의 세기가 라니냐 발생년의 태풍의 세기보다 강함을 알 수 있다. 구체적으로 평균 중심최저기압은 6.2hPa 낮고, 평균 최대풍속은 2.1m/s 강하다. 이와 같은 결과는 태풍의 발생 해역과 밀접히 관련되어 있다. 즉, 엘니뇨 발생년에 태풍은 동경 150도 이동 해역과 북위 10도 이남 해역에서 상대적으로 더 많이 발생하고, 라니냐 발생년의 태풍은 동경 120-150도 해역과 북위 20도 이북 해역에서 더 많이 발생한다. 동경 150도 이동 해역과 북위 10도 이남 해역에서 발생한 태풍은 북태평양 서부의 광범위한 고수온역을 보다 장시간 이동하게 되므로 더 강력하게 발달할 수 있다.

We Previously reported that Polysaccharide Isolated from panax ginseng C. A. Meyer, stimulates murine splenocytes to proliferate and to be cytotoxic against a wide range of tumor cells in MHC non-restricted manner:) Therefore, we examined the cytokine mRNA expression induced by the ginseng polysaccharide in this paper. This study demonstrates that the ginseng polysaccharide stimulates Thl type cytosine expression such as IL-2 and IFNY, and macrophage type cytokine expression such as IL-lc and GM-CSF in a dose-dependent manner at different time: IL-2 mRNA was induced at 30 min, IL-la, GM-CSF mRNA at 3 hr, IFNY at 6 hr after the ginseng polysaccharide treatment. In contrast with these, Th2 type cytokine expression such as IL-4 and IL-5 was not induced. The generation of the ginseng polysaccharide-activated killer cells which was induced at the optimal doses of 50 pEyml was neutralized in the presence of anti-lL-2, anti-lFNy, anti-IL-l ${\alpha}$ antibodies, showing the importance of these cytokines produced by the ginseng polysaccharide. In flow cytometry analysis, the blastogenesis of IgM+ cells was induced on day 3 and the number of Thy 1.21 cells, CD4+ and CD8+ cells was increased on day 5. The ginseng polysaccharide also induced blastogenesis of T cells. In conclusion, the ginseng polysaccharide may have considerable antitumor immunotherapeutic modality by stimulating the cytokine production from Thl cells and macrophage and by proliferating lymphocytes.
