  • Multi Progress Planning System problem in a multi-stage manufacturing system have a complexity and peculiarity different from other kinds of production system. World leading company has invested much cost and effort into a Real-Time Planning System and intelligent manufacturing field to obtain their own competitiveness. Especially Real-Time Planning System for ship production process as a part of intelligence for a shipyard. Real-Time Planning System, simulation based system, or virtual manufacturing system is an approach to achieve a such goal. It is expected that the Real-Time Planning System will contribute to the improvement of the productivity in working process at a shipyard. Also, This Real-Time Planning System will optimize the entire shipbuilding process in a multi progress planning environment for the delivery.

  • In this paper, we propose an optimal daily operation model for the total energy system which includes cogeneration, thermal storage and electrical charger and ice storage facilities. Storing and utilizing the surplus thermal and electrical energy, the daily operation cost could be reduced and more efficient use of thermal energy could be achieved. The ice storage cooling system has a merit of reduce the electricity cost by time of day rate(peak/off-peak). And also, refrigerator can be down sized compare to the other cooling system From this model, operation costs of the sample cogeneration system with/without auxiliary facilities are obtained and compared to each other. In case study, the sensitivity of operating cost is simulated according to the variation of cogeneration production cost, electricity rate, etc.

  • Position transfer and turning rotation between fingerprint and inputted fingerprint that is registered in automatic fingerprint recognition system are one of main cause that mistaken acknowledgment expression happens. Therefore, in this research, conformity algorithm development that do it so that is unrelated in position translation and rotation of fingerprint at feature point conformity step to secure higher correct recognition rate.

  • For lower power and smaller size with higher image quality, it is desirable to have more units integrated on a display panel. It needs careful design considerations in selecting CMOS, SOP or PCB.   • This paper deals with the design of the digital controller for DC servo motor, and it is implemented for the cartesian coordinate 4 axes manipulator. A design method of the controller is adopted an algorithm using the digital position locked loop(DPLL) method and the linear PID control for the smooth motion. To simplify the hardware configuration of control system, 8279 keyboard/display controller, Z-80 CTC counter and 8255 PPI are used. Therefore the design method to control each motor as real-time is presented. To show effectiveness of the design, the PWM circuit and frequency/voltage converter are applied for the velocity control of robot system. When the proposed controller is applied to the 4-axes manipulator, it reveals that the error probabilities of X, Y and Z axis as 0.033%, 0.023% and 0.028% respectively.

  • A possibility of manufacturing bendable ac-PDP using aluminum electrode with anodic aluminum oxide dielectric material system on PET film substrate was explored. For this structure, PET film with fence-structured aluminum electrodes was used for front plate and PET film with barrier ribs of UV curable resin for the rear plate. The results demonstrate that it is feasible to manufacture the bendable ac-PDPs using those material system and are expected to expand the applications of plasma display panels.

  • In recent years. XML applications are being developed in diverse area. Especially, development of XML document repository system associated with database is carrying out widely. The previous researches of XML repository system have several defects which are update and retrieval limitations for the XML document, design limitation for a formal retrieval algorithm and data redundancy. In order to solve the above problems. in this paper, we suggest relational database schemes for overcoming limitations of updating, retrieving, and rebuilding document. And suggest query translation strategy using two-phase translation that consists of pattern analyzing phase and SQL generating phase.

  • Deregulation and restructuring of electric industry change the fundamental nature of electric business which will be coordinated by the evolved market structures such as spot market with pool and bilateral transaction structure, forward market and future market. Introduction of competition can significantly change the system operation in near-terms as well as long-run generation expansion planning Previous centralized planning by monopoly utilities which was guided for the public service purpose will be replaced by decentralized investments plan by individual generation companies in response to commercial incentives. This paper reviews WASP model as a centralized planning tool and presents a methodological analysis of generation expansion planning in deregulated power systems. It stresses how affects the process of planning new generation investments by the introduction of competition and how maintains proper fuel mix and continuously sustains system reliability under deregulated environments.
