  • Data generated by the development of ICT, the diversification of ICT devices and services and the expansion of social media are categorized as big data characterized by the amount, variety and speed of the data. The spread of the use of big data is expected to have the effects of identifying the status quo by analyzing data in all industries, predicting the future, and creating opportunities to apply it. However, while it is imperative for these things to be done, the nation still lacks professional training institutions or curricula. In this case study, we will investigate and compare the state of education for the training of big data personnel in Korea, find out what level and level of education is being trained to nurture balanced professionals, and prepare an opportunity to think about how it can help students create value at a time when the need for education is growing in the wake of awareness of big data.

  • As it is shown that the Ministry of Education has asked teacher to use ICT (Information and Communication Technology) at least 10% of class time in core subjects of the 7th national curriculum, the ICT using education is being facilitated. In this point of view, current information subject curriculum can be criticized due to the lack of series and redundancy, less connectivity with ICT utilization in other subjects, limitation of training students to adapt rapidly changing world environment. Therefore, we analyze the England's ICT curriculum and derive the concrete objects for competence of students according to their ability, systematic connection with other subjects, class teaching methods based on activities. We insist on that information subject curriculum should focus on the development of learners' concrete competencies rather than learning of tools' functions.

  • The development of information and communication technology(ICT) has made our lives more convenient and has caused many changes in various areas of our lives.. In particular, ICT enables information and physical accessibility of people with disabilities and eliminates the inconvenience of entry into the labor market, and ICT-based teleworking has improved employ-ability for people with disabilities by facilitating physical accessibility away from traditional work environments and job assignments. This paper presents some domestic and foreign cases of teleworking for the people with disabilities. Also it states several suggestions, as developing jobs in ICT field, educating and training of its field, and making related documents and supporting systems for activating ICT-based work environment and job placement.

  • Recently, the use of information and communication technology (ICT) has advanced activities in the field of policing, such as police training, crime investigation, and on-site response equipment enhancement. In this paper, we examine how to use immersion technology in the field of policing. Currently, AR/VR technology is mainly used for police education, training, and criminal investigation, and other cases of its use are rare. To use AR/VR technology in a wider range of applications, it is necessary to look at how it can be used in major police activities (e.g., patrol, investigation, and arrest activities).

  • For protecting copyright for trademark, convolutional neural network can be used to confirm genuine of trademark image. For this, repeated training one trademark image degrades the performance of machine learning because of overfitting problem. Therefore, this type of machine learning application generates training data in various way. But if genuine trademark image is rotated, this image is classified as not genuine trademark. In this paper, we propose the way for extending training data to confirm genuine of trademark image which is rotated. Our proposed way generates rotated image from genuine trademark image as training data. To show effectiveness of our proposed way, we use CNN machine learning model, and evaluate the accuracy with test image. From evaluation result, our way can be used to generate training data for machine learning application which confirms genuine of rotated trademark image.

Study on the Take-over Performance of Level 3 Autonomous Vehicles Based on Subjective Driving Tendency Questionnaires and Machine Learning Methods

  • Level 3 autonomous vehicles require conditional autonomous driving in which autonomous and manual driving are alternately performed; whether the driver can resume manual driving within a limited time should be examined. This study investigates whether the demographics and subjective driving tendencies of drivers affect the take-over performance. We measured and analyzed the reengagement and stabilization time after a take-over request from the autonomous driving system to manual driving using a vehicle simulator that supports the driver's take-over mechanism. We discovered that the driver's reengagement and stabilization time correlated with the speeding and wild driving tendency as well as driving workload questionnaires. To verify the efficiency of subjective questionnaire information, we tested whether the driver with slow or fast reengagement and stabilization time can be detected based on machine learning techniques and obtained results. We expect to apply these results to training programs for autonomous vehicles' users and personalized human-vehicle interfaces for future autonomous vehicles.

  • According to the Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, the number of industrial injuries in 2019 was 109,242, an increase of 6.8% from 2018. In this situation, the government and companies are discussing the development of core technologies for preventing safety accidents on site based on ICT in the field of construction and construction. In these fields, technologies using computer vision and artificial intelligence have recently been widely used. In this paper, we built training data for safety management of factory workers and trained a model based on YOLOv4. It is believed that this can be used as an initial study to predict the risk situation of workers in factories.

  • Aviation ICT technology is a convergence technology between aviation and electronics, and has a wide variety of applications, including navigation and education. Among them, in the field of aerial pilot training, there are many problems such as the possibility of accidents during training and the lack of coping skills for various situations. This raises the need for a simulated pilot training system similar to actual training. In this paper, pilot training data were collected in pilot training system using VR/AR to increase immersion in flight training, and Customized Pilot Training Platform with Collaborative Deep Learning in VR/AR Environment that can recommend effective training courses to pilots is proposed. To verify the accuracy of the recommendation, the performance of the proposed collaborative deep learning algorithm with the existing recommendation algorithm was evaluated, and the flight test score was measured based on the pilot's training data base, and the deviations of each result were compared. The proposed service platform can expect more reliable recommendation results than previous studies, and the user survey for verification showed high satisfaction.

Informatization of Early Childhood Education: the EU Experience

  • Informatization of early childhood education in the EU occurs in the context of the use of ICT as a means of sharing experiences, practices in the education and training of preschool children, communication, both at the national level and locally - within educational institutions, as a means of document management, search, data processing and information for the management of early childhood educational institutions, and planning activities for these institutions. This article aims to identify the features of the informatization of early childhood education in EU countries. Results. The countries of the EU have different levels of workload on the staff of early childhood education institutions, which is caused by different numbers of preschoolers and workforce. The greatest load on the staff in France due to a large number of preschoolers, which, despite the reduction, remained the highest among all the countries. By comparison, Poland's significant workload is mitigated by the size of its workforce. With almost equal numbers of staff in Poland and Germany, the countries differ significantly in the number of preschoolers. The countries also have different funding mechanisms for early childhood education, which determines the potential for digitalization. In France, total spending on early childhood education has grown the least (by 11 % between 2012 and 2018), in Poland by 51 %, in the Czech Republic by 44 %, and in Germany by 49%. In France, 100 % is funded by the government, in Poland 78 % is funded by the government, in the Czech Republic and Germany 87 % and 85 % respectively is funded by the government. The results of the survey of teachers' training in the use of ICTs and the level of specialists' readiness to use them in their studies indicate a mismatch between education and the practice of using technology. At the same time, given the high level of professional training of teachers in the use of technology in education, a low level of practice of ICT use in teaching preschool children was revealed. Teachers require professional development of ICT skills.

  • In foreign language, vocabulary is the most essential and fundamental elements. Traditional language learning methods that are to understand and to memorize the English contents can only be obvious limitations. In this paper, we proposed the speaking-centered learning methods based on cognitive strategies and speech recognition considering the learner characteristics. We have designed and implemented the cognitive strategy-based speaking training system for acquisition elementary English vocabulary. We were divided into control group and the experimental group and applied to the system to analyze the learning effect. The result of Analysis, the proposed system is increased motivation and achievement of learners. In addition, the proposed system is improved an academic learning participation, Project accomplish, self-interesting and leadership skills. Through this study, we expect that students improve the ability of practical skills in speaking English.
