PBG를 이용한 저위상잡음 VCO에 관한 연구 (A Study of Low Phase Noise VCO using PBG)

  • 본 논문에서는 Photonic Bandgap(PBG)를 공진 특성을 이용하여 마이크로파 발진기의 위상잡음을 줄이기 위한 기술을 제시한다. 마이크로스트립 라인으로 구현한 공진기는 낮은 Q(Quality factor)를 가진다. PBG를 적용했을 때 공진기의 Q값을 높여줌으로써 발진기의 위상잡음 특성이 향상됨을 보이고자 한다.

Peptide Inhibitor for Human Immunodeficiency Virus Type 1 (HIV-1) Protease from a Thermolysin Hydrolysate of Oyster Proteins

  • A peptide that inhibits HIV-1 protease was isolated from a hydrolysate of oyster (Crassostrea gigas) proteins digested with thermolysin. The peptide was using membrane filtration, gel permeation chromatography, ion exchange chromatography, and reverse-phase high performance liquid chromatography. Amino acid sequence of the peptide was determined to be Val-Phe-Glu-Leu. Chemically synthesized Val-Phe-Glu-Leu showed an $IC_{50}$ value of 106 ${\mu}M$.

결정 궤환 구조를 갖는 차동 위상 검출기의 고속 데이터 처리를 위한 VLSI 설계 (A VLSI Design for High-speed Data Processing of Differential Phase Detectors with Decision Feedback)

  • 본 논문은 결정 궤환 구조를 갖는 차동 위상 검출기의 고속 데이터 처리를 위한 VLSI 구조를 제안한다. 기존 차동 위상 검출 방식의 낮은 BER 성능을 극복하기 위해 DF-DPD, DPD-RGPR, DFDPD-SA 등의 다중 심볼 검출 방식이 제시되었다. 이러한 검출 방식들은 참조 위상으로 사용되는 이전 심볼에서의 잡음 효과를 작게 하기 위하여 검출된 위상을 궤환시키는 구조를 갖고 있다. 하지만, 검출된 위상을 궤환시키는 작용은 데이터 처리 속도를 기존의 차동 위상 검출기보다 느리게 한다. 본 논문에서는 결정 궤환 구조를 갖는 차동 위상 검출기가 기존의 차동 위상 검출 방식처럼 고속으로 데이터를 처리할 수 있는 VLSI 구조를 제안하였다. 제안된 구조는 'M-1' 번째 과정에서 'M' 번째 과정을 미리 계산하는 선계산(pre-calculation) 방식과 'M-1'번째 과정에서 예견 위상들을 궤환시키는 선결정 궤환(pre-decision feedback) 방식을 갖는다. 본 논문에서 제안된 구조는 VHDL(Very-high-speed-IC Hardware Description Language)를 사용하여 RTL(Register Transfer Level)로 구현되었다. 시뮬레이션 결과, 제안된 구조는 고속으로 데이터를 처리함을 확인하였다.

An Accurate Estimation of a Modal System with Initial Conditions (ICCAS 2004)

  • In this paper, we propose the AWLS/MFT (Adaptive Weighed Least Squares/ Modulation Function Technique) devised by A. E. Pearson et al. for the transfer function estimation of a modal system and investigate the performance of several algorithms, the Gram matrix method, a Luenberger Observer (LO), Least Squares (LS), and Recursive Least Squares (RLS), for the estimation of initial conditions. With the benefit of the Modulation Function Technique (MFT), we can separate the estimation problem into two phases: the transfer function parameters are estimated in the first phase, and the initial conditions are estimated in the second phase. The LO method produces excellent IC estimates in the noise free case, but the other three methods show better performance in the noisy case. Finally, we compared our result with the Prony based method. In the noisy case, the AWLS and one of the three methods - Gram matrix, LS, and RLS- show better performance in the output Signal to Error Ratio (SER) aspect than the Prony based method under the same simulation conditions.

A 64 kHz Frequency Control Using BRM for Induction Heating

  • This paper proposes a method for controlling energy distribution to 1 phase induction heating coil by using the Binary Rate Modulation (BRM) Technique. Such method provides proper frequency to the heating coil's requirement by control the frequency at the resonance point, that is, 64-kHZ frequency band. System design are classified to 2 parts. The first part determines main frequency , and the second part generates the frequency from the 8-bit BRM derived from IC no. PAL22V10 in order to control the frequency for Full-bridge connected inverter when supplying the energy required by the 1 phase induction heating coil. Therefore, efficiency of the energy supply can be increate.

Separation and Purification of Lipase Inhibitory Peptide from Fermented Milk by Lactobacillus plantarum Q180

  • In this study, we separated and purified lipase inhibitory peptide from fermented milk by Lactobacillus plantarum Q180 with the aim of developing a new functional anti-lipase activity yogurt product. L. plantarum 180 was inoculated into 10% reconstituted skimmed milk and incubated at 37℃ until the pH of the culture reached pH 4.4. The lipase activity was measured using porcine pancreatic lipase. The lipase inhibitory peptides were gradually isolated by ultrafiltration, reversed phase column chromatography (RPC), reversed phase high-performance liquid chromatography (RP-HPLC), and gel permeation high-performance liquid chromatography (GP-HPLC) from the fermented milk by L. plantarum Q180. An ODS-AQ column was used for the RPC, a Vydac C18 column for the RP-HPLC, and a Superdex Peptide HR column for the GP-HPLC. The peptide was composed of Asp, Thr, Ile, Ser, Ala, and Gln, and the anti-lipase activity (IC50) was 2,817 ㎍/mL.

인버터 에어컨을 위한 고역률 단상능동정류기 (High Power Factor Single-Phase Active Rectifier for Inverter Air-Conditioner)

  • 본 논문에서는 IEC 61000-3-2와 같은 고조파 전류 국제규제에 만족하기 위해서 인버터 에어컨을 위한 고역률 단상능동정류가(SAR) [4-6]를 적용하였다. 입력전류의 왜곡을 최소화하고 FA5331, UC3854, ML4821 등과 같은 제어IC를 적용하기 위해서 입력전압 및 전류에 대한 새롭고 적절한 검출회로를 제안하였다. 효율 및 가격의 관점에서 SAR를 인버터 에어컨에 적용하기 위한 두가지 방법이 있다. 이런 두가지 방식에 대해서 수동소자의 선정방법을 제시하였다. 결정된 소자들을 사용하여 SAR 효율의 증가 여부를 확인하기 위해서 손실분석을 행하였다. 3kW급의 이러한 두가지 방식에 대한 프로트형 SAR회로를 제작하고 실험결과를 통해서 역률제어능력을 갖는 회로의 동작과 성능을 확인하였다.

Two p-Terphenyls from Mushroom Paxillus panuoides with Free Radical Scavenging Activity

  • As part of a continuing investigation to identify free radical scavengers from the fruit bodies of basidiomycetes, we isolated two p-terphenyl compounds, designated as PAl and PA2l, from cethanolic extract of the fruit body of Pasillus panuoides. The methanolic extract was processed by ethyl acetate extraction and silica gel column chromatography to yield two active fraction. PAl was obtained from one of the fractions through Sephadex LH-20 and silica gel column chromatographies and reverse-phase HPLC. The other fraction was purified by Sephadex LH-20 and reverse-phase column chromatographies to produce PA2. The compounds PA1 and PA2 were identified as leucomentin-4 and leucomentin-2, respectively, on the basis of various spectroscopic analyses. These compounds exhibited strong inhibitory activities against lipid peroxidation in rat liver microsomes with IC_{50}$ values of 0.10 and $0.06{\;}\mu\textrm{g}ml$, respectively.

  • Conventionally, ZVS FB DC/DC converter was controlled by monolithic IC UC3879, which includes the functions of oscillator, error amplifier and phase-shift circuit. Also, microprocessor and DSP have been widely used for the remote control and for the immediate waveform control in ZVS FB DC/DC converter. However the conventional microprocessor controller is complex and difficult to control because the controller consists of analog and digital parts. In the case of the control of FB DC/DC converter, the output is required of driving a direct signal to the switch drive circuits by the digital controller. So, this paper presents the method and realization of designing the digital-to-phase shift PWM circuit controlled by DSP (TMX320C32) in a 2,500A, 40㎾ WS FB DC/DC converter.

2상 스테핑 모터 드라이버의 성능개선 (Performance Improvement of Stepping Motor Driver)

  • This paper describes the design of a 2-phase stepping motor driver using CPLD(Complex Programmable Logic Device). The driver IC such as L297(SGS-Thomson Microelectronics), which is mostly used has some difficulties in PWM control because of the switching noise of power MOSFETs. It causes current ripple and acoustic noise. To improve theses characteristics, we proposed a new current control method that the output PWM frequency is almost constant using a digital filter. Also we proposed constant current method for 1-2 phase(half step) excitation. The proposed method is implemented with CPLD(Xilinx, XC9572-PC44). Experimental results show the effectiveness of the proposed method.
