Alias Component Permutation Matrices (ACPM) for the $3^n$ Parallel Fractional Factorial Design

  • A parallel flats faraction for the $3^n$ factorial experiment is symbolically written as $At = C(r\timesf)$ where $A(r\timesn)$ is of rank r. The A-matrix partitions the nonnegligible effects into $(3^{n-r}-1)/2+1$ alias sets. The $U_i$ effects in the i-th alias set are related pairwise by elements from $S_3$, the symmetric group on three symbols. For each alias set the f flats produce an $f \times u_i$ alias componet permutation matrices (ACPM) with elements from $S_3$. All the information concerning the relationships among levels of the effects is contained in the ACPM.

  • 본 논문은 FPD(Flat Panel Display)용 TCON(Timing Controller) 칩의 PLL에 관한 것이다. 최근 TCON에서는 $8\sim135MHz$의 넓은 주파수 영역 동작을 위한 PLL을 요구하고 있다. 이것을 만족시키기 위하여, 새로운 구조의 V-I 변환기 회로를 설계하였다. 새로운 구조의 V-I 변환기는 VCO의 동작 주파수 범위를 결정하는 최소/최대 전류 비율을 최대한 증가시켰고 또한 VCO의 선형성도 보장하였다. 측정 결과 $8\sim135MHz$내에서 100ps 근처의 RMS 지터을 가짐으로 FPD용 TCON칩의 IP로 적합한 특성을 가지게 되었다. 설계된 회로는 TSMC 0.25um 1-poly 3-metal CMOS 공정으로 구현하였으며, 2.5V 공급 전원에서 $8\sim135MHz$로 동작하도록 설계 하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 데이터 전송을 위한 전용 명령어 및 I/O 포트를 탑재한 8051 마이크로콘트롤러를 설계하였다. 설계된 8051마이크로콘트롤러는 외부 디바이스를 제어하고 데이터를 주고받기 위해 2개의 UART 포트와 1개의 SMBus 포트를 탑재하였으며, 이들 포트를 운용하기 위한 전용 명령어를 개발하여 명령어 집합에 추가하였다. 이에 따라 여러 디바이스를 동시에 제어하고 데이터를 전송할 수 있으며, 응용 프로그램의 코드 크기도 줄일 수 있다. 특히, 다수의 디바이스와 데이터를 주고받는 동안에도 마이크로콘트롤러가 멈추지 않고 다른 프로그램을 수행할 수 있어서 동작 효율을 크게 향상할 수 있다. 0.18 um 공정에서 합성한 결과, 전용 명령어 추가로 인한 하드웨어 크기 증가는 무시할만하며, 모든 명령어 및 I/O 포트가 정상적으로 동작하는 것을 FPGA 보드에서 확인하였다.

Characteristics of ustilago maydis virus of SH14 killer strain isolated in Korea

  • SH-14, a novel killer strain of Ustilago maydis was isolated in Korea. It has been reported in other papers that the toxin specificity and double-stranded RNA pattern of SH-14 strain were different from other laboratory strains. In this paper, we analyzed the biochemical characteristics of U. maydis SH-14 virus. Three distinctive peaks were isolated from CsCl density gradient, designated as top (T), intermediate (I) and bottom (B) components. We found that the densities of each components, 1.285, 1.408 g/cm$\^$3/, respectively, are very similar to those of other strains. As previously reported by the analysis of dsRNA in each component, the dsRNA segments are separately encapsidated. Capsid protein of SH-14 virus consists of two proteins about 70 Kd shown by SDS-PAGE analysis. Electron microscopic examination of the virus particles revealed that UmV particles are very similar in size and morphology to all isolates as well as all lab-strains. In order to test immunological cross reactivity of UmV, werstern bolt analysis was carriedout with antiserum against A8 virus. All capsid protein had positive reaction against A8 antibody which indicated that UmV are immunologically cross-reactive with all isolates from Korea. The results presented in this paper may show that UmV isolated from SH-14 strain has very similar biochemical characteristics to those of other UmV. However, the difference in the toxin specificity and the molecular weight of toxin protein from the SH-14 strain has us to conclude that U. maydis SH-14 strain is a new killer type.

Properties of Detection Matrix and Parallel Flats fraction for $3^n$ Search Design+

  • A parallel flats fraction for the $3^n$ design is defined as union of flats ${t}At=c_i(mod 3)}, i=1,2,\cdots, f$ and is symbolically written as At=C where A is rank r. The A matrix partitions the effects into n+1 alias sets where $u=(3^{n-r}-1)/2. For each alias set the f flats produce an ACPM from which a detection matrix is constructed. The set of all possible parallel flats fraction C can be partitioned into equivalence classes. In this paper, we develop some properties of a detection matrix and C.

  • Propose of this paper is VCM (voice coil motor) design for application of Nanoindenter, which enable control of extremely small force and displacement. This paper present the VCM shape to produce a very small force by the difference of flux density of lower part from higher one. In wide range of current. VCM produces linear driving force and operate on regular thrust having maximum displacement(100um) was practiced.

A Detection Matrix for $3N^n$ Search Design

The A matrix partitions the effects into u+1 alias sets where $u=(3^{n-r}-1)/2$. For each alias set the f flats produce an alias component permutation matrix (ACPM) with elements from $S_3$. In this paper, a detection vector of the ACPM was constructed for each combination of k or fewer two-factor interactions. Also the relationship between the detection vectors has been shown.
