In this paper, we propose a matrix hypercube graph as a new topology for parallel computer and analyze its characteristics of the network parameters, such as degree, routing and diameter. N-dimensional matrix hypercube graph MH(2,n) contains 22n vertices and has relatively lower degree and smaller diameter than well-known hypercube graph. The matrix hypercube graph MH(2,n) and the hypercube graph Q2n have the same number of vertices. In terms of the network cost, defined as the product of the degree and diameter, the former has n2 while the latter has 4n2. In other words, it means that matrix hypercube graph MH(2,n) is better than hypercube graph Q2n with respect to the network cost.

Hypercubes와 유사한 구조를 가진 X-hypercubes는 hypercubes와 같은수의 node와 edge를 갖고 있다.그러나 node들을 연결한는 방법을 약간 바꾸어 줌으로써 X-hypercubes내의 node들간의 통신시의 delay는 hypercubes 의 그것보다 훨씬 적어지는 것을 기대할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 X-hypercubes를 새롭게 정의함으로써 두 node들 간의 연결에 관한 조건들을 명확히 해준다.이 정의에 대한 응용으로서,본 논문은 hypercubes 를 X-hypercubes로 그리고 X-hypercubes 를 hypercubes로 embedding시키는 algorthm을 보여준다.이는 이들 두 network에서 운용되는 program 들이 최소한 overhead만으로써 서로 호완될 수 있음을 말해준다.또한 본 논문은 hypercubes 에서의 bitionic merge sort를 simulate함으로써,X-hypercubes에서 운용될 수 있는 bitonic merge sort도 보여주고 있다.

본 논문에서는 하이퍼큐브보다 망비용이 개선된 HFN(n,n)과 2n-hypercube 사이의 임베딩을 분석한다. 2n-hypercube를 HFN(n,n)에 연장율 3에 임베딩 가능함을 보이고, HFN(n,n)을 2n-hypercube에 임베딩하는 비용이 O(n)임을 보인다.

Latin hypercube sampling(LHS) introduced by McKay et al. (1979) is a widely used method for Monte Carlo integration. Stratified Latin hypercube sampling(SLHS) proposed by Choi and Lee(1993) improves LHS by combining it with stratified sampling. In this article it is shown that SLHS yields an asymptotically more accurate than both stratified sampling and LHS.

This paper proposes a modified method of Latin Hypercube sampling to reduce the variance of statistical parameters in uncertainty analysis of concrete structures. The proposed method is a modification of Latin Hypercube sampling method. This analysis method uses specifically modified tables of random permutations of ranked numbers. In addition, the Spearman coefficient is used to make modified tables. Numerical analysis is carried out to predict the uncertainty of axial shortening in prestressed concrete bridge. Statistical parameters obtained from modified Latin Hypercube sampling method and conventional Latin Hypercube sampling method are compared and evaluated by a numeric analysis. The results show that the proposed method results in a decrease in the variance of statistical parameters. This indicates the method is efficient and effective in the uncertainty analysis of complex structural system such as prestressed concrete bridges.

본 논문에서는 컴퓨터 모델을 이용하여 복잡한 시스템을 모형화할 때 결과값의 분포를 보다 정확히 추정하기 위한 입력변수의 추출방법으로서 McKay 등(1979)이 제안한 Latin Hypercube 추출법을 개선한 이단계 Latin Hypercube 추출법을 제시하고 모의 실험을 통하여 새로운 표본추출법이 기존의 표본추출법들보다 더 효율적임을 보였다.

하이퍼큐브 노드들의 커뮤니케이션은 메세지 라우팅에 의하여 이루어진다. 그러 므로 효율적인 메세지 라우팅은 하이퍼큐브 병렬컴퓨터의 성능에 매우 중요한 요소가 된다. 그러나 하이퍼큐브 노드들은 하드웨어 혹은 소프트웨상의 문제로 인하여 부분적 으로 결함이 발생할 수 있는데, 이를 손상된 하이퍼큐브라 한다. 신뢰성이 높은 하이 퍼큐브 시스템은 이러한 문제점을 극복 해야만 한다. 손상된 하이퍼큐브상에서 신뢰성을 향상시키기 위한 방법 중의 하나는 오류 회복기능을 갖는 메세지 라우팅 알고리즘을 사용하는 것이다. 본 연구에서는 독립된 경로를 이용하여 가능한 최단거리를 갖는 메세지 라우팅 알고리즘을 제안하며, 이 알고리즘의 성능을 분석하기 위하여 시뮬레 이션을 통해 평가한다.

In this paper, we develop enhanced hypercube architectures and routing algorithms to realize arbitrary permutations in circuit switching. We prove that a hypercube is rearrangeable if one additional pair of links (one full-duplex communication line) is provided in only one dimesion of connections. We also prove that if each connection between two neighboring nodes consists of two pairs of links, the hypercube can handle two independent permutations simultaneously.

A micro-sensor network is comprised of a large number of small sensors with limited memory capacity. Current key-establishment schemes for symmetric encryption require too much memory for micro-sensor networks on a large scale. In this paper, we propose a memory-efficient hypercube key establishment scheme that only requires logarithmic memory overhead.

본 논문에서는 네트워크 장비를 사용하지 않고 hypercube topology를 기반으로 PC 들을 직접 연결하여 PC 클러스터를 구현하고 그 실용성을 검증한다. Hypercube 방식의 네트워크는 통신 장비를 사용하지 않기 때문에 저렴하고 보다 안정적이며, 네트워크 부하가 적어 높은 성능의 클러스터 시스템을 구축할 수 있는 것으로 알려져 있다. Hypercube 네트워크의 성능을 알아보기 위하여 다양한 성능 분석 툴 및 병렬 프로그램을 통하여 Gigabit 스위치를 사용한 네트워크와 비교/분석 한다.
