This study aims to design a humanities model for preliminary universities using an online platform to develop and expand humanities thinking of preliminary university students. P University Expert Focus Group Interview and student surveys are conducted, and based on the analysis results, a preliminary university model suitable for the humanities field is proposed. Expert FGI suggested the necessity of human resources education to build an online platform-based preliminary university model and improve humanities capabilities. As a result of the student survey, it was found that a majority of the respondents had high interest in humanities and recognized the need for a humanities preliminary university. This study proposes a humanities-based preliminary university model that enables interactive communication in virtual space using the cross-platform Photo Server. The implication of this study is that it contributes to strengthening the humanities capabilities of preliminary university students by presenting an online platform preliminary university model that can respond to changes in the external environment. Since this study has a limitation in that it does not present examples of preliminary universities, it is necessary to verify the educational effect of platform-based ppreliminary university management in the future.

This study is a study on theoretical considerations on industrial design data in the era of data economy. This study aims to illuminate the value of industrial design data, interpret the meaning of the transition from design management to the design data era, and highlight the importance of literacy to interpret data for designers. The scope of research approaches the R&D capability dimension of a company to explore the industrial value of design. It limits the scope of research from an industrial point of view rather than the humanistic basis and aesthetic value of design. As a result of the study, it was found that the value of industrial design data is not in ex post evaluation, but in customer-oriented market prediction, and that the design industry data-led strategy is important. The key point is that the industrial design data issues of large companies and SMEs are different, the direction of industrial design data should be to support customer-centered decision making in the product/service development of companies, and the core competency is the amount of data or tools and technologies to handle it. No, it should be in data literals. Lastly, if the use of industrial design data is to be strengthened, management of the public level rather than the personal level of data management should be preceded.

In Korea, a movement for forming intentional communities is gathering people's interests to improve individualistic living environment, and to create a humanistic lifestyle. However, it is difficult to say if its management is successful or not, because intentional community is just in the experimental stage in Korea. The purpose of this study is to identify actual condition of residents' participation in forming process, shared activities in their daily lives, residents' regulation, common facilities and its management in order to offer basic information for revitalization of intentional communities in Korea. 7 intentional communities including eco-friendly villages, religious communities and a cooperative housing community were collected as the study objects. Upon analysis, those communities were divided into two groups according to their purpose of establishment; "HC (Housing-life focused Community includes cooperative housing community and eco-friendly community)" and "IC (Ideology focused Community includes ideology community and religious community)" in order to identify difference in residents' participation between the two groups. In-dept interviews with representatives of 7 intentional communities by a structured questionnaire were used as study method. The findings of this study are as follows; In general, more active residents' participation is identified in ICs than in HCs. There is no common house, which is considered as essential in intentional community, in HCs, while it was facilitated in all ICs. Role of leader seems more important in ICs than in HCs. About the ownership of housing and land, private owned is common in HCs, while community owned is common in ICs. Shared activities and residents' regulations are evidently less in most HCs than in ICs. Furthermore, in order to run a community sustainable, it is crucial to encourage sense of community among residents, and developing common house and activity programs. Common house design, which can promote proactive residents' participation in shared activity should be studied fitted to Korean circumstances. Above all, proactive participation in the shared activities is one of the most important factors in intentional community.

Game is the latest type of Gesamtkunstwerk encompassing humanistic and engineering creativity. Nevertheless, Korea's game industry faces a crisis. The purpose of this study is to consider positive emotion-inducing effects as a way to deal with it. Among others, storytelling of , one of the most representative MMORPG games in the world, was selected for the study on various positive emotion-inducing effects. In the story of , the view of the world, characters and incidents are vital to the game and the study is focused on their emotion-inducing effects among the users based on actual examples. As a result, it was confirmed that the positive emotion-inducing storytelling would provide a possibility to reduce negative sentiment towards games, address crisis Korea's game industry faces, and interact with gamers in a positive direction.

This study explored the simulation of film in the post-modern society through Jean Baudrillard's theory of simulation. The 21st century can be said to be in a simulated world in which representational images dominate and can be said to be the era of images, where reality and imagination cannot be distinguished. In this world, movies are created under the premise of 'fictional' as a work of art created by man, but in the present post-modern society, the audience responds to and ignores the movie according to the expression of this simulation. In this aspect, we looked at the trends according to the expression method of Simulation, and found that successful film works express the cold reality in various and diverse ways and express it with positive 'stimulating' elements. Through this, in order to develop more deeply and systematically in the production of domestic films, various humanistic values, which are double tracks that can systematically compose a simulation that contains a didactic message about the real world and draw the audience's response, It was concluded that an attempt to express 'stimulating' in a positive sense was necessary.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the emotional codes of Sijo, which has been acknowledged to have excellent therapeutic function, to activate the contents of the therapy of humanities. Sijo as a function of healing forms emotional codes of therapy, which is the total of emotions, through the fusion of emotions formed during the process of appreciation of various works. This process enables the literary therapeutic activities to proceed physiologically in the human body. Just as machine learning is self-learning by cognitive functions, the coding process for encoding and re-encoding at all times operates on collections of numerous neurons in the human system. In such a process, it is predicted that amino acids are synthesized in the human body by collective encoding of emotion codes. These amino acids regulate the signaling system of the human body. In the future, if the study on the healing process as such at the contact point of humanities and human physiology proceeds, it is expected that a program of higher quality humanistic therapy will be activated.

Is there a pattern in history? How and why does social change occur? Are we to distinguish between the methods to be employed in the study of man and the study of nature? How does linguistic, or 'philological', knowledge contribute to unearthing historical facts? These are the queries that Vico grappled with throughout his life. Vico, however, was an outsider to the intellectual atmosphere of his own day, dismissed as obscure, speculative, and unsound. Only after his death did he begin to inspire enthusiasm among diverse readers, and as long as we remain concerned with the queries mentioned above, Vico's reflections will come alive with contemporary relevance. Actually he has been regarded as the founder--unrecognized by his contemporaries--of the philosophy of history and as a thinker whose ideas anticipated such later intellectual movements as historicism, pragmatism, existentialism, and structuralism. There are many among modern minds who find Vico fascinating for his view of myth as concrete thought and of an age of myth as a necessary age in the intellectual evolution of the human race. James Joyce, for one, was deeply impressed by Vico's view on myth, on metaphor, on Homer, on language, on psychology, and much else besides. 'My imagination grows when I read Vico,' he once confessed, 'as it doesn't when I read Freud or Jung.' Some philosophers, critics, psychologists, social scientists and even geographers would describe themselves as 'Vichians', sharing the view that Vico was a poet and a lawyer, a platonist and a baconian rolled into one. His refusal to be confined within any one discipline, his imaginative effort to understand different cultures, and his insight in dealing with some fundamental problems in the study of humanity all compel admiration and deserve to be emulated in our age--an age when the split between the literary and the scientific approaches to the understanding of society is widening into a chasm. Vico has left some of his most important ideas underdeveloped or even undeveloped, to be excavated and polished by us afier our own fashion. It is surprising that Vico is still a man of obscure name in the academia of our country, Korea.

The purpose of this study is to develop an elementary mathematics education program for social justice. In the two years of research including literature review and development of a teaching model, forty 6th grade elementary students at two schools in Seoul participated as participants for verification of the effectiveness of the program. Parents' SES in each group is in the high and average levels, respectively. The students participated in 12 mathematical classes for social justice, and the effects of mathematics education for social justice were tested by using mixed method. As a result of the study, students' perceptions of mathematics and tendency toward mathematics were changed positively. The results of this study showed that students' perceptions on mathematics and tendency toward mathematics were influenced by individual ability, inclination, and condition rather than parents' socio-economic environments. It is necessary to develop high qualified and diverse mathematical materials for social justice in order to cultivate creative convergence ability that flexibly copes with future society. It is also necessary for teachers to look at mathematics education in a broader and deeper perspective such as seeing mathematics with humanistic imagination.

Old maps are a cultural heritage of recorded information with humanities materials and scientific value. However, there is no sufficient study on the development of web-based information system using old maps to provide the old map information. In this study, we analyze the status of the old map information on the website of the main institutions, construct the web-based information systems to provide the unified map information efficiently and systematically. It is not easy to standardize the data categories and information searching method because of the diversity and complexity of old map. So, the importance of engineering information management is growing. Therefore, the attempting to computerized humanistic old map information and the integrated approach is very important and necessary. This study provide an opportunity to combine the humanities and engineering through the convergence between information technology, humanities, and computational engineering.

This study investigates how Korean traditional family consciousness interacts with Korean industrialization in the 1970s. In Our Children, Lee Sun depicts a family's struggle within the turmoil brought about by rapid industrialization to escape from the ranks of the working class. It is well known that one of the consequences of industrialization was the breakup of the larger family structure into nuclear families, but Lee Sun presents Korea's industrialization in the 1970s in the light of the traditional Korean family culture before the breakup. In other words, he gives us a portrayal of Gemeinschaft in Gesellschaft in his description of the extended family's struggle to overcome the day-to-day pressures of modernization and urbanization. The novel presents three generations of a traditional extended family. The eldest son is portrayed as a knife, strong and sharp. His wife has a temporary job that she hopes to give up once they own a house, which symbolizes the family's escape from the working class. The relationship among the family members reveals the core aspects of the ideology governing traditional extended families: the husband is the despotic monarch of the household, solely responsible for the family's economy; the husband is the sky and the wife the earth; and children (the more the better) are expected to lead to stability, welfare, and prosperity. One curious aspect of this family relationship as portrayed by Lee Sun is the expectation that being the eldest son, who already is or will become the patriarch of the family, is the fastest way of reaching middle-class status. And, despite a slight reversal, the novel has a happy ending wherein the family's expectations are fulfilled without much suffering. This aspect should be considered in light of the revolutionary romantic idealism of the novels of the 1930s. The lack of suffering and the easy happy ending may be attributed to the fact that Korea's industrialization came about rapidly and radically, and therefore it is likely that Lee Sun was not able fully to appreciate the full costs of industrialization. This limitation calls for a deeper investigation into the social structure and class consciousness of the 1970s, and also a study of the intertextual relationship of Our Children with other novels of the time.
