자연모사 고감도 촉각센서 기술 (Nature-Inspired high sensitivity tactile sensor technology)

  • The tactile sensor of the future robot is becoming a necessity as a sensory organ which can communicate with the person most directly. Recently, the Nature-inspired technology has provided a new direction for the development of these tactile sensors. Here, we review three different nature-inspired tactile sensory system; high sensitivity pressure sensor inspired by beetle wings, highly sensitive strain sensor inspired by the spider's sensory organs, Tactile sensor inspired by human fingertip. These nature-inspired tactile sensors are expected to provide a breakthrough that not only can sensitively measure the pressure, but also delicately recognize the softness and texture of the material just like human.

  • With the development of human civilization, humanity has grown to use enormous of energy. As the use of energy increases, although human life has become prosperous and materially plentiful, the consequent problems are becoming more serious day by day. The main cause of the emission of greenhouse gases is the enormous amount of carbon dioxide generated by the burning of fossil fuels. Many land-based wind power generator facilities complexes, which is one of the new renewable energy sources, have currently been completed and put in operation or are planned to bo constructed in Korea. However, in consideration of the economy and the effect on the environment, the progressive trend is to plan and install such complexes at sea rather than on land. In this paper, we shall investigate and analyze the location selection for offshore wind power generator facilities.

WSN 환경에서 Biometric 정보를 이용한 사용자 인증 스킴의 안전성 분석 (Security Analysis to an Biometric Authentication Protocol for Wireless Sensor Networks)

  • A novel authentication mechanism is biometric authentication where users are identified by their measurable human characteristics, such as fingerprint, voiceprint, and iris scan. The technology of biometrics is becoming a popular method for engineers to design a more secure user authentication scheme. In terms of physiological and behavioral human characteristics, biometrics is used as a form of identity access management and access control, and it services to identity individuals in groups that are under surveillance. In this article, we review the biometric-based authentication protocol by Althobati et al. and provide a security analysis on the scheme. Our analysis shows that Althobati et al.'s scheme does not guarantee server-to-user authentication. The contribution of the current work is to demonstrate this by mounting threat of data integrity and bypassing the gateway node on Althobati et al.'s scheme. In addition, we analysis the security vulnerabilities of Althobati et al.'s protocol.

Highly Stretchable, Transparent Ionic Touch Panel

  • The touch panel was developed decades ago and has become a popular input device in daily life. Because human-computer interaction is becoming more important, the next generation of touch panels require stretchability and bio-compatibility to allow integration with the human body. However, because most touch panels were developed based on stiff, brittle electrodes, electronic touch panels face difficulties to achieve such requirements. In this paper, for the first time, we demonstrate an ionic touch panel based on polyacrylamide hydrogel containing LiCl ions. The panel is soft and stretchable and thus, can sustain a large deformation. The panel can freely transmit light information through it because the hydrogel is transparent, with 99 % transmittance for visible light. A 1-dimensional touch strip was investigated to reveal the basic mechanism of sensing, and a 2-dimensional touch panel was developed to demonstrate its functionalities. The ionic touch panel was operated under high deformation with more than 1000% areal strain without sacrificing its functionalities. Furthermore, an epidermal touch panel on the skin was developed to demonstrate the mechanical and optical invisibility of the ionic touch panel through writing words, playing the piano and playing games.

의류를 중심으로 한 전자상거래의 활용 실태에 관한 연구 (Application of Electronic Retailing in Apparel)

  • This research examines 13 Korean Web sites and 15 foreign Web Sites to explore how companies present apparel products by both layout of graphics and information at the Web sites. The results show that most Web sites display tiny icons next to the item's text description. Clicking on these icons takes the customers to another web page, where the full size photograph of the item appears. The results also revealed that most web sites offer shopping bag function and payment options such as on-line and credit cards. The results indicate that Web sites are constantly evolving and following functions such as virtual dressing room, FAQ, the links, E-Cash payment, currency converter and multilingual sites are becoming standards in the near future.

  • The paper is the principle of a curriculum, a recent method of teaching-learning in pedagogy, and intended for the exploration of the meaning of which reconstructs curriculum by narrative through practical exploration and narrative being discussed as the form of exploration. To date, Korean education showed an inclination of the traditional paradigm centered thinking and has emphasized the results by the method of scientific investigation. Even a curriculum reconstruction demonstrates documents that produce results without actually demonstrating the actual school setting. With communication one another is becoming increasingly important, we need the conversion of cognitive thinking that can express dilemma, contradictions, and complexities of the human world of which unexplainable by traditional paradigm mindset. Ultimately, the exploration of the direction that reflects a series of verbal, symbolic, and spiritual activities, which analyze lives of students, understanding and composing the meaning by using narrative, which talks about the experience of the human world in curriculums, is an important task for us.

  • Installation art in 20th century shows an expanded trend as a result of material, time, or spatial expansion of subject, therefore subjects could be either materials or non-materials. This trend says that three elements-objet, space, and spectator-is inseparable essence of installation art. Nowadays, the borderline between installation art and everyday human life is getting indistinctive, and both Installation art and human life are becoming a part of another. By adapting the flexibility of installation art into the interior space, more interaction could happen, therefore, people will recognize spatial and visual character of Interior space as a visually satisfying Installed object. The main goal of this study is to understand changing of spatial composition in consequence of expressional variety as a result of dispersion of spatial elements. Especially, this study gives a fundamental ideas about private character of installations art in commercial spaces and expressional character of modern installations.

공학계열 초기경력자의 학습과 적응을 위한 조직사회화 과정 연구 (A Study on the Organization Socialization Process of Engineering Novice for the Learning and Adaptation)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the organization socialization process of engineering novice for the learning and adaptation. Qualitative case study was performed with 5 participants and the collected qualitative data were analyzed using funnel-like method. The findings showed that the organization socialization process proceed in three steps-anticipatory, encounter, and metarmorphosis. Engineering Novice look at the whole organization socialization proces of organization culture and job maladjustment, and the relationship between internal and external organizations to overcome the difficulties arising from the community through the process of becoming a full participant. Socialization of engineering novice is ultimately the organization to respond to new situations and changes in the learning process takes place in the process, talking about a major resource for human resources. This enables organizations to socialize and harmonious human relationships within the organization so that it can be more important than anything else.

  • Heme oxygenase(HO) is a microsomal enzyme, widely distributed in mammalian tissues, which has a major role in heme metabolism. The role of HO in different tissues has not, as yet, been fully characterized, but it is becoming evident that it is involved in a variety of cellular regulatory and protective mechanism. Therefore, in this report, we confirmed the idea of whether the presence of HO in human pulpal cell, and HO can be a principal mechanism of nitric oxide(NO) mediated pulpal cell damage, by adding a deprivation of NO and to gain clinical relationship. We also accessed the effects of HO in pulpal cells treated with hydrogen.(omitted)

Application of Artificial Intelligence for the Management of Oral Diseases

  • Artificial intelligence (AI) refers to the use of machines to mimic intelligent human behavior. It involves interactions with humans in clinical settings, and augmented intelligence is considered as a cognitive extension of AI. The importance of AI in healthcare and medicine has been emphasized in recent studies. Machine learning models, such as genetic algorithms, artificial neural networks (ANNs), and fuzzy logic, can learn and examine data to execute various functions. Among them, ANN is the most popular model for diagnosis based on image data. AI is rapidly becoming an adjunct to healthcare professionals and is expected to be human-independent in the near future. The introduction of AI to the diagnosis and treatment of oral diseases worldwide remains in the preliminary stage. AI-based or assisted diagnosis and decision-making will increase the accuracy of the diagnosis and render treatment more precise and personalized. Therefore, dental professionals must actively initiate and lead the development of AI, even if they are unfamiliar with it.
