실측 경사장 및 경사도를 고려한 양구 해안면 유역의 유사량 평가 (Evaluation of Sediment Yield using Area-weighted Measured Slope and Slope Length at HeaAn Myeon Watershed)

  • In this study, area-weighted slope and slope length module, considering measured field slope and slope length of the agricultural fields within the subwatershed, was developed using the ArcView Avenue programming to reflect the field topography of the Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT) HRU in simulating the hydrology and water quality. Flow and sediment yield estimated values of the SWAT were compared with and without applying area-weighted slope and slope length module, developed in this study. There was 103% increases in estimated sediment with area-weighted slope and slope length module for the study watershed. The soil erosion and sediment yield from only agricultural field in Hae-an watershed was also assessed. There are 111% increase in estimated soil erosion and 112% increase in estimated sediment by applying area-weighted slope and slope length module. This study shows that the area-weighted slope and slope length module needs to be utilized in estimating the HRU field slope and slope length for accurate estimation of soil erosion and nonponit source pollutant modeling with the SWAT although it is not feasible to measure topographic information for every agricultural fields within the watershed. The area-weighted slope and slope length module can be used in identifying soil erosion hot spot areas for developing cost effective and efficient soil erosion management practices.

열전도성 점착제 응용을 위한 고분자 기반 탄소나노소재 복합체 제조 및 특성 평가 (Fabrication and characterization of polymer-based carbon nanomaterial composites for thermal conductive adhesive application)

  • A polymer-based carbon nanomaterial composite was fabricated and characterized for the application of a thermal conductive adhesive. Low-dimensional carbon nanomaterials with excellent thermal conductivity such as carbon nanotube (CNT) and graphene were selected as a filler in the composite. Thermal, electrical and adhesive properties of the composite were investigated with respect to the morphology and content of the low-dimensional carbon nanomaterials. As a result, the composite-based adhesive fabricated by the loading of surface-treated MWCNTs of 0.4 wt% showed uniform dispersion, moderate adhesion and effective heat dissipation properties. Finally, it was confirmed through the thermal image analysis of LED module that the temperature reduction of 10℃ was achieved using the fabricated composite adhesive with MWCNT-6A. Expecially, heat dissipation performance of the optimized composite adhesive was evident at the hot spot in the module compared to other samples mixed with graphene or different MWCNT loading ratios.

CVD 다이아몬드가 코팅된 알루미늄 방열판의 방열 특성 (Heat Spreading Properties of CVD Diamond Coated Al Heat Sink)

  • Nanocrystalline diamond(NCD) coated aluminium plates were prepared and applied as heat sinks for LED modules. NCD films were deposited on 1 mm thick Al plates for times of 2 - 10 h in a microwave plasma chemical vapor deposition reactor. Deposition parameters were the microwave power of 1.2 kW, the working pressure of 90 Torr, the $CH_4/Ar$ gas ratio of 2/200 sccm. In order to enhance diamond nucleation, DC bias voltage of -90 V was applied to the substrate during deposition without external heating. NCD film was identified by X-ray diffraction and Raman spectroscopy. The Al plates with about 300 nm thick NCD film were attached to LED modules and thermal analysis was carried out using Thermal Transient Tester (T3ster) in a still air box. Thermal resistance of the module with NCD/Al plate was 3.88 K/W while that with Al plate was 5.55 K/W. The smaller the thermal resistance, the better the heat emission. From structure function analysis, the differences between junction and ambient temperatures were $12.1^{\circ}C$ for NCD/Al plate and $15.5^{\circ}C$ for Al plate. The hot spot size of infrared images was larger on NCD/Al than Al plate for a given period of LED operation. In conclusion, NCD coated Al plate exhibited better thermal spreading performance than conventional Al heat sink.

GWR을 이용한 센서스 기반 도시범죄 특성 분석 및 예측모델 구축 (Construction of Urban Crime Prediction Model based on Census Using GWR)

  • 본 연구는 범죄와 환경과의 관계가 밀접한 영향을 미친다는 전제하에 범죄억제를 위한 정책수립 및 설계를 위한 대안마련의 사전단계로 범죄위험지역 분석과 요인, 공간적 특성이 반영된 예측모델을 제시하는 것을 주요 목적으로 수행하였다. 연구의 분석결과, H구 전체 지역에 범죄가 균등하게 분포하였을 경우와 대비하여 약 1/4 수준으로 범죄발생지역은 군집성을 나타내고 있었으며 주로 H 해수욕장 배후 상업지역에서 특정범죄(강간, 절도, 폭력)는 강한 핫스팟을 나타내었다. 결과적으로 독립변수와 종속변수의 공간적 상관관계를 고려하는 지리가중회귀모형을 이용함으로써 보다 효과적으로 적용할 수 있음을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 결과는 다중선형회귀 모형의 결과에서와 같이 연구지역 내 폐공가수가 종속변수와 단순히 부적의 관계를 가지는 것이 아니라, 지역에 따라 종속변수에 서로 다른 영향을 미치는 것을 알 수 있다.

  • cdma2000 이동통신망의 패킷데이터 서비스는 넓은 영역을 커버하는 대신에 비용이 높고 대역폭이 낮다. 반면에 무선랜의 경우 작은 지역만을 커버할 수 있지만 대역폭이 크고 비용이 낮은 특성이 있다. 그러므로 무선랜과 cdma2000 이동통신망을 연동하여 사용한다면.효율적인 서비스를 제공할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 기존 cdma2000 이동통신망과 무선랜의 효율적인 연동을 통해서 끊김 없는 서비스를 받을 수 있는 망 연동 방안을 제안하고 이중모드 단말을 구현한다. 제안하는 망 연동 방안은 기존의 밀결합 연동의 단점을 보완한 망 구조를 가지고 있으며, 이중 모드 단말은 무선 네트워크의 상태를 파악하여 네트워크를 선택하고 자동으로 연결을 관리하도록 한다. 또한 구현된 시스템 하에서 성능 특정을 통하여 우수성을 보인다.

Sonocatalytic Degradation of Rhodamine B in the Presence of TiO2 Nanoparticles by Loading WO3

  • In the present work, $WO_3$ and $WO_3-TiO_2$ were prepared by the chemical deposition method. Structural variations, surface state and elemental compositions were investigated for preparation of $WO_3-TiO_2$ sonocatalyst. X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive X-ray (EDX) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) were employed for characterization of these new photocatalysts. A rhodamine B (Rh.B) solution under ultrasonic irradiation was used to determine the catalytic activity. Excellent catalytic degradation of an Rh.B solution was observed using the $WO_3-TiO_2$ composites under ultrasonic irradiation. Sonocatalytic degradation is a novel technology of treating wastewater. During the ultrasonic treatment of aqueous solutions sonoluminescence, cavitaties and "hot spot" occurred, leading to the dissociation of water molecules. In case of a $WO_3$ coupled system, a semiconductor coupled with two components has a beneficial role in improving charge separation and enhancing $TiO_2$ response to ultrasonic radiations. In case of the addition of $WO_3$ as new matter, the excited electrons from the $WO_3$ particles are quickly transferred to $TiO_2$ particle, as the conduction band of $WO_3$ is 0.74 eV which is -0.5 eV more than that of $TiO_2$. This transfer of charge should enhance the oxidation of the adsorbed organic substrate. The result shows that the photocatalytic performance of $TiO_2$ nanoparticles was improved by loading $WO_3$.

가압경수로 반응도사고에 대한 민감도 분석 (Sensitivity Analysis on PWR Reactivity Induced Accidents)

  • 고리 1호기 일부 반응도사고에 대한 민감도 분석을 수행하였다. 본 민감도 분석에 고려한 반응도 사고는 비교적 진행속도가 빠른 사고로서 미임계나 저출력 시동조건에서 발생한 제어뱅크 인출사고와 제어봉 일출사고가 이에 속한다. 본 분석작업은 다음과 같이 세단계로 수행하는 바 원자로 평균출력의 변동 계산과 최고점에서의 열전달계산 그리고 DNBR계산 단계로 나눌 수 있다. 계산에 사용된 전산코드들은 본 분석을 위하여 개발하거나 기존 전산코드들을 수정ㆍ보완하여 제작하였으며 신뢰도도 평가하였다. 원자로 설계 및 운전변수들이 사고발생시 원자로의 거동에 미치는 영향을 조사하기 위하여 민감도 분석을 수행하였다. 본 민감도 분석 결과에 근거하여 고리 1호기 반응도사고 분석에 사용된 최종안전분석보고서의 가정과 초기조건이 타당한가를 조사하였고, 또한 계산 결과도 보수적이고 신뢰할 수 있는지 판별하였다. 고리 1호기 반응도사고 분석에 사용된 가정 및 초기조건을 재검토하고 민감도를 분석한 결과 최종안전분석보고서의 해석결과는 보수적이고 신뢰 할 수 있는 것으로 평가되었다.

LEED Certification and Its Effectiveness on Urban Heat Island Effect

  • The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) has provided abundant resources and guidelines for a new project to become a sustainable anchor in the neighborhood. Paired with a range of checklist, LEED has strong influence on the standards for a sustainable building, and it also has played an iconic role in energy-efficient architecture. However, it is still unclear as to whether or not an LEED certified building enhances environmental benefits to its surroundings. If an LEED certification promises a baseline for an eco-friendly building, then a group of these structures should ensure significant environmental benefits to the society. This is the main question of this study, and the authors answer this hypothesis by examining the relationship of LEED certificates and their influence on outdoor temperature, especially in terms of urban heat island effect. The goal of this paper is to analyze the influence of the LEED certification on urban temperature as an indicator of sustainable architecture's regional interactions. If an LEED certificate is regarded as a strong contributor to a sustainable built environment, then a group of these certificates should result in greater benefits to society. To this extent, the authors question if there is any possible relationship between a large concentration of LEED certified sites and the temperature of their surroundings. To properly assess the research direction, Global Moran's I analysis, Local Moran's I analysis, and Hot Spot analysis are implemented to find the clustered areas of LEED certified buildings. For examining relationships between clustered area and its temperature, correlation efficients are calculated.

YBCO 박막의 저항형 초전도 한류기에 대한 동작 특성 (Operating Properties for a Resistive SFCL of YBCO Thin Films)

  • We fabricated a resistive superconducting fault current limiter (SFCL) of a meander type based on a YBCO film with the meander cross section of 5 $\times$ $10^{-6}$$cm^2$, and performed current limitation experiments. The film was coated quench current was 9.6 Apeak at 60 Hz, and the fast quench time was 0.63 msec. The resistance of the limiter continuously increased for three cycles dut to the temperature rise in the gold layer. The temperature of the current limiting element reached the room temperature in 11 msec, $150^{\circ}C$ in 54 msec after quench, and was saturated afterwards. For $45^{\circ}$and $90^{\circ}$faults the fast quench times were 0.56 msec and 0.26 msec, respectively. The quench time is believed to be reduced because the fault occurred when the current was either increasing or at the peak value. This limiter effectively limited the fault current to about 1/5 of the potential current with no SFCL right after the fault and to about 1/8.5 in three cycles. We confirmed that the gold layer effectively carried out the role of heat dissipation as the SFCL was quenched.

모바일 전자기기의 열점 제어를 위한 수평형 박막 열전 냉각 소자의 모사 해석 (Simulation of Horizontal Thin-film Thermoelectric Cooler for the Mobile Electronics Thermal Management)

  • 본 연구에서는 수평형 열전 냉각 소자의 열전 냉각 성능 극대화를 위해 모사 해석을 수행하였다. ANSYS Workbench의 Thermal-Electric 프로그램을 활용한 모사 해석을 진행하였으며 해당 프로그램은 열전 효과에 초점이 맞춰 있어 보다 정확하고 효과적인 모사 해석이 가능하다. 수평형 열전 냉각 소자는 n-type의 $Bi_2Te_3$와 p-type의 $Sb_2Te_3$ 및 Au 금속 전극으로 가정하였으며, Joule 발열이 소자 중앙 하부에서 발생되는 것으로 가정하였다. 모사 해석을 통해 최대 $13^{\circ}C$의 냉각 효과를 확인하였으며, 이런 기하학적인 변수들로부터 냉각 성능을 최적화 할 수 있는 디자인을 제시하였다.
