The heterolayered PZT/PT thick films were fabricated by two different methods - thick films of the PZT by screen printing method on alumina substrates electrodes with Pt, thin films of $PbTiO_3$ by the spin coating method on the PZT thick films and once more thick films of the PZT by the screen printing method on the $BaTiO_3$ layer The structural and the dielectric properties were investigated for effect of various stacking sequence of sol-gel prepared $PbTiO_3$ coating solution at interface of the PZT thick films. The insertion of $PbTiO_3$ interlayer yielded the PZT thick films with homogeneous and dense grain structure with the number of $PbTiO_3$ layers. The leakage current density of the PZT/$PbTiO_3-1$ film is less that $4.41{\times}10^{-9}\;A/cm^2$ at 5 V.
The objective of this study was to investigate the tensile properties and thermal conductivities of Mg9.3%Al alloy in as-cast state and heat-treated state consisting of fully discontinuous precipitates (DPs), respectively. The fully DPs microstructure was obtained by solution treatment at 405℃ for 24 h, followed by furnace cooling to RT. The as-cast alloy showed a partially divorced eutectic β(Mg17Al12) phase particles formed along the α-(Mg) cell boundaries. The DPs had various apparent (α+β) interlamellar spacings, which is related to different transformation temperatures during the furnace cooling. The DPs microstructure exhibited better tensile strength than the as-cast one, resulting from the higher value of elongation in response to its more homogeneous microstructure. It is noticeable that the DPs microstructure had 12.4% higher thermal conductivity in average than the as-cast one between RT and 200℃. The XRD analyses revealed that the lower Al concentration in the α-(Mg) matrix may well be responsible for the better thermal conductivity of the DPs microstructure.
In this study, a two dimensional model of receding contact problem has been analyzed using finite element method (FEM) based software ANSYS and ABAQUS. For this aim finite element modeling of elastic layer and two homogeneous, isotropic and symmetrical elastic quarter planes pressed by means of a rigid circular punch has been presented. Mass forces and friction are neglected in the solution. Since the problem is examined for the plane state, the thickness along the z-axis direction is taken as a unit. In order to check the accuracy of the present models, the obtained results are compared with the available results of the open literature as well as the results of two software are compared using Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) and good agreements are found. Numerical analyses are performed considering different values of the external load, rigid circular radius, quarter planes span length and material properties. The contact lengths and contact stresses of these values are examined, and their results are presented. Consequently, it is concluded that the considered non-dimensional quantities have noteworthy influence on the contact lengths and contact stress distributions, additionally if FEM analysis is used correctly, it can be an efficient alternative method to the analytical solutions that need time.
A new approach to produce nanostructured WC/Co composite powders by a mechanochemical process was made to improve the mechanical properties of advanced hardmetals. Homogeneous spherical W-Co salt powders were made by spray drying of aqueous solution from ammonium metatungstate($(NH_4)_6(H_2W_{12}O_{40})\cdo4H_2O$,AMT) and cobalt nitrate hexahydrate (Co(NO$_3$)$_2$.6$H_2O$). spray dried W-Co salt powders were calcined for 1 hr at $700^{\circ}C$ in atmosphere of air. The oxide powder was mixed with carbon black by ball milling and this mixture was heated with various temperatures and times in $H_2$. The $WO_3/CoWO_4$ composite oxide powders were obtained by calcinations at $700^{\circ}C$. The primary particle size of W/Co composite oxide powders by SEM was 100 nm. The reduction/carburization time decreased with increasing temperatures and carbon additions. The average size of WC particle carburized at $800^{\circ}C$ by TEM was smaller than 50 nm.

We deal with the existence of positive radial solutions concentrating on spheres for the following class of elliptic system $$\large(S) \hfill{400} \{\array{-{\varepsilon}^2{\Delta}u+V_1(x)u=K(x)Q_u(u,v)\;in\;\mathbb{R}^N,\\-{\varepsilon}^2{\Delta}v+V_2(x)v=K(x)Q_v(u,v)\;in\;\mathbb{R}^N,\\u,v{\in}W^{1,2}(\mathbb{R}^N),\;u,v>0\;in\;\mathbb{R}^N,}$$ where ${\varepsilon}$ is a small positive parameter; $V_1$, $V_2{\in}C^0(\mathbb{R}^N,[0,{\infty}))$ and $K{\in}C^0(\mathbb{R}^N,[0,{\infty}))$ are radially symmetric potentials; Q is a $(p+1)$-homogeneous function and p is subcritical, that is, 1 < $p$ < $2^*-1$, where $2^*=2N/(N-2)$ is the critical Sobolev exponent for $N{\geq}3$.
After Dantzig and Rasmer introduced Vehicle Routing Problem in 1959, this field has been studied with numerous approaches so far. Classical Vehicle Routing Problem can be described as a problem of multiple number of homogeneous vehicles sharing a same starting node and having their own routes to meet the needs of demand nodes. After satisfying all the needs, they go back to the starting node. In order to apply the real world problem, this problem had been developed with additional constraints and pick up & delivery model is one of them. To enhance the effectiveness of pick up & delivery, hub became a popular concept, which often helps reducing the overall cost and improving the quality of service. Lots of studies have suggested heuristic methods to realize this problem because it often becomes a NP-hard problem. However, because of this characteristic, there are not many studies solving this problem optimally. If the problem can be solved in polynomial time, optimal solution is the best option. Therefore, this study proposes a new mathematical model to solve this problem optimally, verified by a real world problem. The main improvements of this study compared to real world case are firstly, make drivers visit every nodes once except hub, secondly, make drivers visit every nodes at the right time, and thirdly, make drivers start and end their journey at their own homes.
Knowledge acquisition, maintenance of knowledge base, and validation and verification of knowledge are the addressed bottlenecks of building successful knowledge based systems. Along with the increment of interesting in the knowledge based systems, the organization needs to develop a new one although it has a similar one. This causes several serious problems including knowledge redundancy and maintenance of knowledge base. This paper present three models of the reusable knowledge base which might be the solution to the above problem. Three models are : 1) multiple knowledge bases for a single AI application, 2) multiple knowledge bases for multiple AI applications, 3) a single knowledge base for multiple AI applications. A new approach to build such a reusable knowledge base in a homogeneous environment is presented. Our model combines the essential object-oriented techniques with rules in a consistent manner. Important aspects of applying object-oriented techniques to AI are discussed (inheritance, encapsulation, message passing), and some potential problems in building an AI application (decomposition technique of knowledge, search time, and heterogeneous environment) are pointed out. The models of a reusable knowledge base provide several amenities : 1) reduce the knowledge redundancy, 2) reduce the effort of maintenance of the knowledge base, 3) reuse the resource of the multiple domain knowledge bases, 4) reduce the development time.
As a wet chemical drying process "hot petroleum drying method" was applied and developed for preparing uniformly fine oxide powder with high purity and sinterreactivity. Using this method solution of sulfates was dried in hot petroleum bath (~17$0^{\circ}C$) to sulfate powder from which corresponding mullite doped by Fe3+ ion was formed. Particle size, shape, decomposition by heat, and phase identification of sulfate andoxide powders determined by DTA, TGA, X-ray diffraction, analysis and electron microscopy: sulfate powder prepared by this drying method is an intimate mixture of the amorphous form of uniformly and finely distributed spherical particles (0.05-0.1$\mu$). Mullitization with the sulfate powder occurs at 110$0^{\circ}C$ in air. The morphology of mullite particle made by firing the sulfate powder at 135$0^{\circ}C$ in oxygen atmosphere is granular of 0.1-0.3$\mu$ in size. This drying process proved to be a very effective method for preparing fine, homogeneous, and highly sinterreactive multicomponent oxide powder without conventional ceramic process of mixing, milling, and granulating. This process can be also applied for preparing electronic ceramic materials which are requisite for high purity and homogeneity.mogeneity.

This study intends to reduce the weight of structure without changing the dynamic characteristics. At first, the Vibration analysis by the Substructure Synthesis Method and FFM using the ANSYS are performed for the engine speed converter to confirm the reliability of the analyzing tools. Weight minimization is performed by the Sensitivity Analysis and the Optimum Structural Modification. To decrease the converter weight ideally, the parts with low sensitivity are to be cut mainly, and the changing quantity of the natural frequency by the cut is to be recovered by the weight modification of the parts with high sensitivity. As the unique mathematical solution for the homogeneous problem(i.e. 0 object function problem) does not exist, the converter is redesigned with much thinner initial thickness. The goal of this study is to recover the dynamic characteristics of redesigned structure to those of the original one. To say in the other words, the modified structure has the same dynamic characteristics and the more lighter weight to compare with the original one.
A boundary integral equation method in the shape design sensitivity analysis is developed for the elasticity problems with axisymmetric non-homogeneous bodies. Functionals involving displacements and tractions at the zonal interface are considered. Sensitivity formula in terms of the interface shape variation is then derived by taking derivative of the boundary integral identity. Adjoint problem is defined such that displacement and traction discontinuity is imposed at the interface. Analytic example for a compound cylinder is taken to show the validity of the derived sensitivity formula. In the numerical implementation, solutions at the interface for the primal and adjoint system are used for the sensitivity. While the BEM is a natural tool for the solution, more generalization should be made since it should handle the jump conditions at the interface. Accuracy of the sensitivity is evaluated numerically by the same compound cylinder problem. The endosseous implant-bone interface problem is considered next as a practical application, in which the stress value is of great importance for successful osseointegration at the interface. As a preliminary step, a simple model with tapered cylinder is considered in this paper. Numerical accuracy is shown to be excellent which promises that the method can be used as an efficient and reliable tool in the optimization procedure for the implant design. Though only the axisymmetric problem is considered here, the method can be applied to general elasticity problems having interface.
