The purpose of this research was to analyze the contents of housing teaching learning studies in Home Economics of secondary schools since 2001. The 22 research, drawn from the database 'riss4u', were analyzed in terms of general information of the paper (studied institution & year, implementation & evaluation, subject of study & size) and specific contents of teaching learning plans (theme, curricula & textbooks, methode & # of lessons, resources). The results showed that most studies were reported during the 7th or the 2007 revised curricula period. All, except one doctoral dissertation, were master's theses from a few universities. In all studies, ranging from 2 to 15 lessons, teaching learning plans were implemented and evaluated in the class of the researcher while some were applied in other schools, too. The theme of the teaching learning plans varied but were concentrated on one out of two content elements and two out of six learning elements. The 2007 revised curriculum seems to be an important turning point, not only reinforcing the analyses of the curricular and textbooks in the analyzing stage but also facilitating the use of various methods for the lessons in the developing stage. Practical problem based model was the most frequently adopted, while cooperative learning and ICT served as fundamental although not always mentioned. Various teaching resources such as UCC, reading materials, PPT were developed for the teacher. Activity sheets were the most frequently used for the students, followed by reading materials. Because teaching learning is an essential core of education, teaching learning studies should be more actively conducted and the variety of subject topics, methods and resources should also be obtained by more researchers.
We investigate several theories on how the cravate came into being and eventually evoved into the modern day necktie. Among the different possibilities, the most plausible case is the introduction of the neckwear by croatioan soldiers into France near the beginning of the seventeenth century. During seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, the beautiful costumes and extravagant embroideries using the expensive laces, were common oractices among the high society of the royal court, and the cravate evolved into a favorite ornament. While it was emerging as a beautiful part of man's dress in France and the continent, Charles II brought the cravate to England where it became the central part of the dandy's dress. The cravate became not only a part of dress but a subject for a solemn ceremony. George brummell was the most famous English dandy associated with this ritual and he is also credited as the father of modern men's dress. In england, Brummell became famous for his clean cravate was used as the expressionis of political opinions. They were san cravate, muscadins and incroyables, for example. The classic style of male dress in the nineteenth century was due to Brummell and the severe unadorned silhouette he started has changed very little to became the present day male dress.
The purposes of this study are: 1) To find out overall family life issues percieved by the middle-classhousewives in their forties. 2) To examine detailed aspects related to middle years crises, leisure activities, children issues, family economy issues, and housing issues. 3) To clarify solutions to, and provide basic data on family issues raised by the middle-class families. The middle-class housewives in their forties living in the Seoul area were the subject of the survey. The sample size analysed in this study was 422. Data were analysed by the frequency, mean, percentile, standard deviation, X2-test, analysis of variance, multiple classification analysis, analysis of multiple regression, and Scheffe-test as a post-hoc analysis. The conclusions are as follows: First, the middle-class housewives tend to give more importance on children issues, especially on academic achievement and career development. Second, family cohesion of middle-class families is comparatively high and intra-familial conflict is low, and middle years crisis of housewives is comparatively low, too. Third, the stability of middle-class families can be found in household economic management patterns. one fourth of the families own stocks and two fifths of the families own real estate except their own dwelling house. Be based on their property income add to their labor income, middle-class families are showed their economic stability, however, intra-class inequality is found, too. Fourth, the great part of middle-class families that possess their own house, tend to be unsatisfied with their housig scale, and a half of the families expect to enlarge their housing scale for more comfortable and convient living.
In this study we tested the physiological influence on human-body according to clothing pressure with reduction rate and varied posture using three kinds of belt with different width. The width of belts were 2.5cm, 3.5cm and 4.5cm, and reduction rates of belts were 0%, 2.5% and 5% of the subject/s waist size respectively. the measured postures were standing state and sitting stste in the chair. The reasults are as follows; 1. Clothing pressure was high in the order of Side part>Front part>Back part and the rate fo change in the side part was highest, according to the reductio rate of belts. The more the width of belt was wide, the less the clothing pressure was small, and this kind of phenomenon could be explained by "The Principle of the power". 2. Both the rate of reduction of belt and the change of average skin temperature in accordance with the width of belt is small, however, the more the width of belts is wider and the reduction rate is bigger, the more the skin temperature at the waist part is increased. 3. The blood pressure and pulse was influenced when the width of belt was narrow and the reduction rate was high. 4. A sense restraining was much influenced by the width of belt, especially when the width of belts was wide, the significant difference was permitted.permitted.
Interested in the importance of Consumer Education in school has recognized in modem society, due mainly to the development and change of consumption life. Among the many contributions to the study of consumer issues that Consumer Education in school is the most important thing to be rational consumer. However, There is no any system to support the Consumer Education in school even though we need it. And thus, this paper is used the method of Contents Analysis through critically reviewing the professional web-sites of Consumer Education Center in Japan and Europe in order to investigate what the goal is, what contents are, how they operate their Consumer Education System. Moreover, we compare two web-sites in aspects of system, structure. The Consumer Education in Japan and Europe is toward the value of life which is not the buy-man-ship but the way of thinking and philosophy of life. The school lead the Consumer Education through the integrated system which is invoked all of related subjects. Each related subject is gotten together for the Consumer Education. Most of all the Consumer Education Center in Japan and Europe is in the middle of Consumer Education in school, and then absolutely assist and support Consumer Education in school.
The purpose of this study was to survey Navajo's textiles of the transitional period(1868-1890) and to examine appearance background of those textiles. The two study questions were central to the project. 1) What were characteristics of eye-dazzler and pictorial in the transitional period? 2) How developed was the American trader's role? To perform the purpose, literatures on this subject were surveyed, investigation of textiles in Arizona State Museum and Historical Museum of Arizona were accomplished. The results of this study were as follows: 1. Eye-dazzler is called because of their small, serrate triangle and diamond patterns in intense, contrasting colors. Eye-dazzler mostly used Germantown yam and wedge-weave technique. Germantown was a plied yam colored with synthetic dyes. Wedge-weave technique used optical illusions and an undulating technique to create an effect of motion and rhythmic symmetry. 2. The Americans began to intern Navajos at Bosque Redondo, New Mexico in 1863. During their stay at Bosque Redondo, the Navajo came into greater contact with Rio Grande blankets. The influence of designs of these becomes increasingly important in the eye-dazzler. 3. Pictorial materials included rich new sources the railroad provided and living environment of animals, plants, hogans, neighbors, deities that interested the Navajo. Also, sandpainting textiles were a pictorial. Three types of textiles utilized: yei, yeibichai, and sandpainting tapestry. 4. The arrival of the railroad caused many changes for the lives and textiles of the Navajos. The railroad brought a new client into the Navajo, and the Navajos attempted new textiles with design-inspiring fresh materials to adjust taste of the eastern purchasers.
The purpose of this study was to exam the effects of sociocultural attitude toward appearance on perceptual attitudinal body images and clothing behaviors. The research method was survey and the subjects were 447 male and female adolescents in Daejeon. The questionnaire consisted of 4 measuring instruments; sociocultural attitude toward appearance, perceptual and attitudinal body images, clothing behaviors, and subject’s demographic attributions. The data were analyzed by Cronbach's $\alpah$, x$^2$ test, t-test, factor analysis, cluster analysis, using SPSS program. The results were as follows. Adolescents had relatively high level recognition and internalization of sociocultural value toward appearance, and they perceived very thin body type as ideal body and had high interest of their appearance and weight. Sociocultural attitude toward appearance had important effects on adolescents' perceptual and attitudinal body images and clothing behaviors. The adolescents who are receptive to sociocultural value toward appearance had the tendency to distort their body as fat, showed high interest of their appearance and weight, and also showed high clothing interest & psychological dependency, clothing ostentation, and clothing conformity, but low clothing comfort than those who are not receptive to sociocultural value toward appearance.
Pregnancies of unmarried women are one of the most serious sex problems because they can negatively affect the lives and development of both unwed mothers and their extramarital children. The number of unwed adolescent mothers is growing recently, extending the seriousness of the problem. This study was conducted to explore the ego-state, life position and family systems that may cause unmarried pregnancy. The data obtained from the structured questionnaire survey of 79 unmarried adolescent mothers and 82 female adolescents were analyzed in terms of frequency and t-test using the SPSS WIN 8.0 program. The results were as follows: 1. Ego-state elements of unmarried adolescent mothers were distributed evenly in general and this falls under the All B(BBBBB) type of ego-gram, just like the adolescents. As for the subject adolescent mothers, CP was the lowest among the 5 egos. 2. As to the life position, the position of "I′m OK, You′re OK"was the highest for both groups, with slight differences. 3. With regard to the family system types sorted by the combination of family cohesion and family adaptability levels, both the adolescent. mothers and adolescents tended to perceive their families as somewhat-balanced or balanced families. 4. While the two groups of adolescent mothers and adolescents showed, on the whole, the same types for all the indicators like above, statistically significant differences were found in more detailed elements.
This study was to investigate use of functional foods and attitude on related education among adolescents. Subjects of this study were a total of 826 students in middle and high schools of Cheongju and Cheongwon area. Among the subjects, 44.8% had an experience in consuming functional foods. Among the subjects that experienced side effects possibly by the consumption of functional foods, 13.0% ignored the symptom and continued to consume the foods. Approximately one third of the subject(30.7%) obtained information on functional foods from their parents; however, few subjects(2.2%) obtained the information from the nutrition teachers or dietitians of their schools. Only 9.4% of the subjects underwent education related with functional foods, and 35.1% of the subjects demanded education on functional foods. The present study suggests that an effective education is needed for both students and their parents in order to prevent adolescents from the misuse of functional foods.
The completely answered questionnaires were analyzed for the nutrition knowledge, food habits, value orientation, and the sources of nutrition information of housewives of 20's to 40's. The subjects had a high level of perceived knowledge, that is the knowledge that each subject believed she hadm but the accuracy of the knowledge was only 51.6%. The mean nutrition knowledge score was 6.63 out of possible 15 points, and food habit score was 5.31 out of 10 points. Most of the subjects belonged to "Good" to "Fair" food habit group, which is considered to be relatively good. With increasing age and decreasing level of education, the percent of perceived knowledge and accuracy, and nutricion knowledge score were getting lower. However, the food habit score was getting higher with increasing age. This suggests that food habit was dependent more upon the length of married life than the nutrition knowledge in housewives. The corelation between nutrition knowledge score and food habit score was low. The economic area was the most concerned area of the subjects, followed by health and social. The scores of utrition knowledge and food abits of the subjects who ranked the health the highest were not different from those of economic and social. TV, radio, newspapers, and magazines were the most important sources of nutrition information.
