Calculation of wear depth with regard to the wear topology is peformed numerically Four typical wear topology, that is round, crescent, flat, and diamond types are adopted to represent the configuration of wear volume. Diamond and flat types are the most severe topology for wear depth history, whereas round and crescent types have small increasing rate of wear depth to the wear volume. Based on this study we can guess that the most severe wear phenomena happens to be upper side of U-tubes in the KSNP SG, because flat or diamond wear will be generated by the wearing motion between tubes and diagonal, vertical, horizontal strips. The misalignment of tube at the stage of manufacturing or distortion of upper structure due to the thermal expansion or vibration of upper structure such as diagonal, vertical, and horizontal strips will be one of the main causes of flat or diamond wear.

라이만 다양체 위에서의 편미분 방정식의 연구는 미분기하학에서 중요한 연구 분야로 인식되어 왔다. 본 논문에서는 특히 최근에 미분기하학과 위상수학 분야에서 중요한 역할을 하고 있는 리이만 다양체 위에서의 포물형 방정식에 관한 역사적으로 주목받고 있는 중요한 연구 결과를 정리해 보고, 아울러 이 분야의 최근 연구 결과를 고찰한다.

지형 지물의 생성, 소멸, 변경으로 인한 수치지형도의 변경은 정보의 변경으로 표현할 수 있는데 사회가 복잡해짐에 따라 수치지형도 상의 지형 지물의 복잡도가 커지고 다른 객체와의 관계도 복잡해지고 있다. 정확성과 최신성을 유지하면서 수치지형도에 효율적으로 반영하기 위해서 준공도면을 이용한 부분갱신을 수행하는데 이는 현장측량을 수행하지 않는 부분갱신의 단점을 보완할 수 있으나 정보가 포함된 파일 혹은 데이터베이스 전체가 생성 혹은 소멸될 경우와 달리 객체별로 변경이 될 경우 원천자료의 상이, 갱신일자의 상이 등 부가적인 문제가 발생하므로 공간정보 속성정보의 생성, 변동, 소멸에 대한 이력 항목을 선정하고 관리하는 것이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 준공도면을 활용한 수치지형도 갱신시스템의 업무를 분석하고 필요한 이력항목을 제시하였다.

1890년에 설립된 시카고대의 초대 수학과장으로 미국수학사에서 결정적 역할을 담당했던 E. H. Moore는 걸출한 인재들을 길러내며 20세기 전반에 미국수학이 수학연구의 주류로 진입하는데 결정적 기여를 하였다. 그는 시카고대에서 실험적 교수법을 시도하였고, 그 결과, 연구력이 뛰어난 수많은 제자를 배출하였다. R. L. Moore는 E. H. Moore의 실험적 교수법과는 차별화된, 지금은 Texas 교수법 또는 Moore 교수법으로 알려져 있는 새로운 방식의 수학교수법을 대학수학교육에 적용하였다. 그는 20세기 전반, 미국수학이 빠르게 발전하는 과정에서 결정적인 역할을 담당했던 Veblen이나 Birkhoff와는 차별화된 중요한 역할을 수행하였다. 따라서 미국수학의 발전에 특별한 역할을 수행했던 R. L. Moore의 연구 경력과 Moore 교수법 및 R. L. Moore가 배출한 제자들의 역할에 대한 의미 있는 분석을 필요로 한다. 본 원고는 텍사스대에서 학문적 일생을 보낸 R. L. Moore와 그의 Moore 교수법, 또 그의 영향으로 탄생한 'American school of topology'가 미국수학사에서 갖는 의미를 분석하고, 20세기 전반 미국 수학의 학문적 도약과정이 현재의 한국수학계에 시사하는 바를 고찰한다.

본 논문에서는 이동에이전트 기반으로 구축된 P-그리드 환경에서, 그리드 서비스 에이전트가 각 피어에게 효율적으로 이주할 수 있는 방법에 대하여 연구한다. 서비스 요청에 따른, 서비스 에이전트를 전달하기 위한 이주방법은 피어의 논리적인 네트워크 위상에 기반한다. 본 시스템에서 사용되는 네트워크 위상은 스타형 위상, 링형 위상, 트리형 위상으로 구성되어, 마스터/슬레이브 방식과 직렬 및 병렬 전송방식으로 에이전트를 이주시킨다. 요청된 서비스의 수행범위 및 특성에 따라 서비스 에이전트의 이주방식을 선택한다. 또한 네트워크 위상을 구성하는 피어의 성능과 에이전트 이주 순서에 의해 서비스 전체 수행시간이 영향을 받는다. 따라서 피어의 성능을 모니터링하고, 히스토리를 분석 및 학습하여 에이전트의 이주 우선순위를 결정한다. 서비스 에이전트의 이주방식의 결정과 이주하려는 피어의 우선순위 결정을 통하여 효율적으로 서비스 수행시간을 절감할 수 있다.

본 논문의 목적은 호프의 삶과 업적을 수학사적인 관점에서 조명하는 데 있다. 호프는 리만 다양체의 곡률과 위상의 관련성을 주목한 선각자이다. 곡률의 부호가 다양체의 국소적 성질과 대역적 성질을 연결하는 고리임을 알고 이에 대해 연구하였고 이와 관련된 예상문제들을 발표하여 기하학의 발전에 기여하였다. 이 논문에서는 호프 이전의 미분 기하학과 호프의 생애와 업적을 살펴보기로 한다.

프로이덴탈은 대수적 위상수학과 기하학에 중요한 업적을 남겼으며, 수학사와 수학교육에도 크게 이바지한 수학자다. 많은 업적 중 가장 인정받는 것은 1970년대, 세계적으로 유행하던 새수학으로부터 네덜란드의 수학을 보호한 것이다. 그가 남긴 가장 큰 유산은 ICMI의 회장으로 재임하면서 현실적 수학교육의 기초를 다졌으며, 또 세계 수학교육에 영향을 끼치는 ICME 개최로 그 위상을 높인 점이다. ICMI의 회장이었던 Bass가 프로이덴탈이 회장으로 재임하였던 기간을 프로이덴탈 시대라고 명명하였으며, 많은 수학교육학자들 역시 ICMI의 역사를 프로이덴탈 이전 시대와 프로이덴탈 후기시대로 나누는데 동의할 정도로 그가 ICMI에 끼친 영향력은 대단하다. 이 논문에서는 프로이덴탈의 생애를 돌아보고 그가 ICMI를 통하여 세계수학교육에 미친 영향을 살펴보고자 한다.

Planck is already in active operation, and in a few years a detailed CMB anisotropy map will be compiled, surpassing WMAP both in temperature and polarization. The E mode - E mode autocorrelation power spectrum at large scales contains weak but sizable information on the history of cosmic reionization. We show our latest advance of our own simulation of cosmic reionization that incorporates Pop III stars, and provide a forecast for Planck polarization measurement.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the features of the avant-garde architecture in the end of the 20th Century based on the ontology as a metalanguage. In view of the results so for achieved, it is possible to say that the thought of becoming, topology, rhizome thought and the Deleuze's concepts of the fold and the event as ever-changing and evolving at any given time are found in the avant-garde architecture, and the introduction of ontological thought into architectural design encourage hopes for a more natural and existential quality in architecture. However, the avant-garde architecture in the end of the 20th century disclosed the limitation in the architectural expression of ontological thought due to the lack of fully understand on ontology. In conclusion, the ontological approach in architecture offers a new morphological methodology and a new way of programming considering the existential aspect of space through the bricoleur's means leaving the ontological meaning of architecture itself.

The human chromosomes 2, 7, 12 and 17 show genomic homology around Hox gene clusters, is taken as evidence that these paralogous gene families might have arisen from a ancestral chromosomal segment through genome duplication events. We have examined protein data from vertebrate and invertebrate genomes to analyze the phylogenetic history of multi-gene families with three or more of their representatives linked to human Hox clusters. Topology comparison based upon statistical significance and information of chromosome location for these genes examined have revealed many of linked genes coduplicated with Hox gene clusters. Most linked genes to Hox clusters share the same evolutionary history and are duplicated in concert with each other. We conclude that gene families linked to Hox clusters may be suggestion of ancient genome duplications.
