Today, the growing number of international architects enters the open market of South Korean architecture and interior from exhibition spaces such as art galleries to buildings of major companies. Establishing new local landmarks, their works have a considerable influence on the development of architecture. Among many, French architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte has worked consistently in South Korea. The purpose of this study is to analyze and put together the expression characteristic of the interior design in his exhibition spaces including Gana Art Gallery. Jean-Michel Wilmotte has designed based on the history, culture, society, and arts in France and other European countries, and is influenced by architects like Charles Rennie Mackintosh, Josef Hoffmann, and Carlo Scarpa. Such an influence is shown in the form of contrast between verticality and horizontality as well as the fortification in his modern classical characteristic, which is one of his expression characters. In his work of improving the ancient architecture, Wilmotte is good at creating a modern space through contextual expression, and the textural contrast between materials of the past and the present. Thus I performed an analysis of the expression characteristic of the interior design in National Museum of Contemporary Art of Chiado in Lisbon, Cognac Hennessy Museum in France, Gana Art Gallery in Korea, Mus$\acute{e}$e du Pr$\acute{e}$sident Jacques Chirac in Sarran, France, Ullens Center for Contemporary Art (UCCA) in Beijing, and lastly Mus$\acute{e}$e d'Orsay in Paris. The results show that he maintains the spatial context by applying contemporary design to the preserved existing structure, continues the flow of exhibition through the lightings in the corridors and on the ceiling, and seeks for a balance by adding vertical or horizontal elements to the elevation. In the interior, the staircase and exhibition structure are turned into objects, and the contrasting texture of the wall vitalizes the space. Wilmotte redesigns the space of the past and the present by using indirect joint that allows an organic connection of the old and new structures, and by minimizing the conflict between the two elements through prefabrication. The expression character of his interior design will be potential resources for architects and interior designers to develop their own design languages.

Mathematics is considered to the beginning of designing thinking because of the sense of logical order system. In this study, it was regarded the mathematics as the logic and the measurement of design system. as is often the case in history, mathematics, it is regard as conceptual model of architectural though, as aesthetic proportional measure and the mirror of thought. The direction of this study is rather multi-sided approaching to the spatial concept than one-sided plane. It is multi-acceptable way to apply mathematical principle to the pace and to be a flexible one. And boundary of interpretation of the flexibility means potential use-ability, and the strictly meaning of flexibility means that the acception of the various Secession and the Change of space. And the various interpretation of the flexibility only can expressed in the relation of opposite concept: the assembly and the disassembly, the expand and the decease, the open and the close and the construct and the de-construct. Mathematics provide the resonable way in architectural thinking and endow the order as logical organizatiov. Regarding these facts, this research is for making it possible to consider the expression property of interior space combination as the way of understanding the accepting of the changes of the times with the mathematical induction, using the rational method like the mathematical arrangement organizatiov.

When the past architecture is renovated, the important point is to approach from social and historical point of view. In Europe, there are many cultural and architectural hereditaments by backed-up ancient history and are usually happened modernistic applications of these architectures. Specially, when the past architecture is renovated, this study is focused on cases of museum and gallery which the people are approachable by me. I studied how to expressed the durability and to distinguish the design characteristics that is connected with the past from the European cases at modernistic point of time. The design characteristics are discovered two kinds. The first is 'consideration of the past architecture' and the second is 'consideration of the present age'. This study intends to analyze the various spatial structures of the Seoul city museum with reference to the layouts and the qualitative mode of exhibition items. Understanding the way of actual exhibition design can be a clue to understand the contents of exhibition story which guarantees to make the pertinent space and visitors route organization between different levels of architectural space and exhibition space. The basic methodological ideas of this study are as follows; 1) Systematic analysis about the characteristics of exhibits, historic context, and hierachy of each thematic zone. 2) Analysis of physical combination of object spatial cell in the view of visitors circulatiov. The women's roles In 21s1 century in Korea is increasing as the industry, economy is growing and changing rapidly; thus raising the necessity and importance of early learning. Naturally the importance and needs of children's day-care center is increasing both in quantitative and quality matters, there needs for much improvements. This study selected 8 workshop day-care centers in Seoul area, where most day-care centers are located, and analyzed interior spaces; thus presenting the appropriate model of interior space in child day-care center. Starting with, examining theologically, this study focused on the history of child day-care center and the 8 selected day-care centers in Seoul. By analyzing the operation status, blue prints, and picture, this study focused on improving the interior spaces in day-care centers. The presented improvement in spaces are the fellowing, First, half of day-care centers in workshops had independent buildings and most were multi-storey building. Second, running status vary. The open hours and number of teachers were fine but the budgets ratio of the employer and the worker ratio needed improvements. Third, there is need for detailed more improvement In managing area, educational area, and service area. It recommendable for spaces of day-care centers in workshops to be a single-storey building with managing and service space placed In center with educational rooms on each sides, with single hall way.

Today, the museum historical material and mental, physical culture and heritage to preserve the collection and exhibition organization rather than to recognize that culture acts as a community to respond to the subject of the attitude and the ability jeokgeukhwa also due to the trend of the times due to changes in lifestyle education and research, and public participation in culture by expanding the role of dissemination activities are becoming. Museum exhibit these changes as part of a combination of various technologies in the coexistence of digital and analog display direction proactive and aggressive behavior, such as visitors expect to have an evaluation of the public and communicate the expectations of the plan in the exhibition space, the larger the effect can feel. This effective display for visitors to watch the way for a systematic approach to provide direction to the urgent reality. Museum visitors experienced officials to improve the quality of research in a variety of ways spectators began to try and move the action was to put the attention on the characteristics. Visitors to visit the Museum of History and ages, categorized by the type of display any difference in the behavior of the visitor experience and attributes based on what is being investigated for the History Museum's exhibition of any exhibit to visitors that experience and is to an analysis.

Interior design generally falls behind to architecture in its concept of conservational value as interior designs are more to the simple style or trend. Therefore, This study aims how the society and the major events in the 1960's and individual and group desires are portrayed in movies through the eyes of movie directors, and further how the concept of spaces and the features of the spaces are displayed. First, This paper analyzes the movies in the 1960's, especially the expressionism and psychological zeitgeist in "The Housemaid" directed by Kim Ki-Young that can be logically analyzed, following the signs in the movie. Secondly, It analyzes the images captured the scenes that best describe the underlying theme of the movie, revealing the features of the different spaces for different scenes. Moreover, It analyzes the correlation of the change in value, desire, and space of the time in the 1960's to see the feature of the spaces in the 1960 are represented in the movie. In conclusion, the realistic expressionism movie of Kim Ki-young's 'Housemaid' showing the everyday life of a family against the background of industrial capitalism reveals the intimate desire of the time with the director's perspective on the history. With Mise-en-Sc$\grave{e}$ne, we can understand the space structure of the time, the view on space structure and further the effect of modernization project on urban residential area.

Occurrence of earthquakes have been increased all over the world and also, magnitude of earthquakes have been larger these days. Earthquake can be happened in Korea and is not a safe country any more. Many buildings are exposed at danger without any alternatives against earthquake in Korea. Among various kinds of buildings, school buildings are very important and urgent, because many students stays at school and young students have some difficulty to evacuate. Also, most existing school buildings in Korea were not designed considering earthquake resistant design codes. Thus, in this study, 3 types of braces were applied for seismic retrofits of existing school buildings using commercial structural analysis software and effective seismic retrofits were evaluated and discussed based on results by time history analysis.

Theatricals have been with human's history for a long time. And It is also receiving a lot of love in modern times. The stage is recognized another space of time by spectators during the play and the production actualize fictional world by using all destination things on the stage. Therefore, the design of the stage has symbolism and the production needs semiological. The Elements expressed through the stage is composed of stage equipment, costume, lighting, stage effects and the production needs light, sound and costume designers, a stage manager, grips an advertising director for the play. The study analysis on symbolic image on the view of semigical with focused on "Vishnvovvi sad" of Anton Chekhov. The details of the study are symbolism of stage effect and costume, lighting, stage equipment. Furthermore, The study analyze way to symbolic Express korean characteristics and This research is an excellent source for students who are studying the semilogical analysis of stage.

The globalization through sport has its own positive point, because its speed can proceed faster than the other area. For twenty-five years long Soccer has influenced people all of the world not only as a role of the most enjoyable sport, but also as a role of the most important position in politics, economics and social fields. Moreover, soccer has comprised transcendentally within region, race and nation which has made a big market share in leisure industry. By completing this research, the Sport Exhibition should be defined innovatively as a place that enables people actively to develop their creativity. Some of overseas sport exhibitions were selected as a sample in this study, such as The National Football Museum in England, Cornilon Nord Saint Denis in France and Sir Matt Busby Way Old Trafford Manchestrer Ml6 ORA in England, which produced an experience based exhibition. Here this study is purposed to establish, efficiently, the history of korean soccer and FIFA Worldcup as a part of construction for 2002 FIFA Worldcup exhibition and to define its conceptional characteristics composition of planning and schematic design than to play a role as basic study of architectural space.
