다중결합된 마이크로스트립 데이터 전송로 자태의 최적합성을 통한 누화 최소화 (Minimization of Crosstalk by Optimum Synthesis of Profiles of Multiple Coupled Data Transmission Lines on Microstrip)

  • 고속펄스 전송을 위한 다중결합된 마이크로스트립 신호버스에서 제일 근접한 선로상에 유기되는 누화피크치를 최소화시키기 위해 선로자태를 합성시키는 방법을 제안하였다. 평행하게 배열된 데이터버스에서 구동선로로부터의 누화에너지는 가장 근접한 선로에 거의 집중되므로 반사파 제어를 위한 최적화기법을 통해 선로간의 평균간격을 늘리는 방법을 채택하였다. 입출력 파형예측을 위해 일반화된 S-행렬 기법을 적용하였으며 선로간의 평균간격을 늘리기 위해 합성된 다양한 형태의 비일정선로의 누화특성을 비교 분석하였다. 그 결과 펄스가 갖는 주파수 범위내에서 스펙트럼을 고르게 반사시키게 하는, dip을 갖는 쳬비셰프형 테이퍼가 입출력 파형의 보전성에 큰 영향을 주지 않는 범위내에서 누화피크치를 최소로 함을 볼 수 있었다.

The role of percutaneous neurolysis in lumbar disc herniation: systematic review and meta-analysis

  • Background: Recalcitrant disc herniation may result in chronic lumbar radiculopathy or sciatica. Fluoroscopically directed epidural injections and other conservative modalities may provide inadequate improvement in some patients. In these cases, percutaneous neurolysis with targeted delivery of medications is often the next step in pain management. Methods: An evidence-based system of methodologic assessment, namely, the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) was used. Multiple databases were searched from 1966 to January 2021. Principles of the best evidence synthesis were incorporated into qualitative evidence synthesis. The primary outcome measure was the proportion of patients with significant pain relief and functional improvement (≥ 50%). Duration of relief was categorized as short-term (< 6 months) and long-term (≥ 6 months). Results: This assessment identified one high-quality randomized controlled trial (RCT) and 5 moderate-quality non-randomized studies with an application of percutaneous neurolysis in disc herniation. Overall, the results were positive, with level II evidence. Conclusions: Based on the present systematic review, with one RCT and 5 non-randomized studies, the evidence level is II for percutaneous neurolysis in managing lumbar disc herniation.

Space-Time Warp Curve for Synthesizing Multi-character Motions

  • This paper introduces a new motion-synthesis technique for animating multiple characters. At a high level, we introduce a hub-sub-control-point scheme that automatically generates many different spline curves from a user scribble. Then, each spline curve becomes a trajectory along which a 3D character moves. Based on the given curves, our algorithm synthesizes motions using a cyclic motion. In this process, space-time warp curves, which are time-warp curves, are embedded in the 3D environment to control the speed of the motions. Since the space-time warp curve represents a trajectory over the time domain, it enables us to verify whether the trajectory causes any collisions between characters by simply checking whether two space-time warp curves intersect. In addition, it is possible to edit space-time warp curves at run time to change the speed of the characters. We use several experiments to demonstrate that the proposed algorithm can efficiently synthesize a group of character motions. Our method creates collision-avoiding trajectories ten times faster than those created manually.

Personalized Face Modeling for Photorealistic Synthesis

  • Faces play a key role in revealing the personalized attributes such as the identity, emotion, health condition, etc. Due to the importance of faces, computer-assisted face modeling and reconstruction have been actively studied both in computer vision and graphics community. Especially, face reconstruction and realistic face synthesis are well-grounded research problems and various approaches have been proposed during the last decade. In this paper, we discuss a wide range of existing work in face modeling by introducing their target applications, categorizing them upon their methodology and addressing their strength and weakness on performance. Finally, we introduce remaining research issues and suggest the future research direction in face modeling. We believe that this paper provides a high-level overview on face modeling techniques and helps understand the major research issues and the trends of methodology.

시스템 분할과 합성을 이용한 신호처리기의 비용예측에 관한 사례연구 (Case Study of a Cost Estimation for the Signal Processor through System Partitioning and Synthesis)

  • 본 논문에서는 응용 주문형 집적회로 (ASICs)로 구현되는 신호처리기의 비용 예측 방법을 소개한다. 비용 예측은 디자인의 초기 단계에서 다양한 설계 사양들을 비교하여 성능과 비용 면에서 최적의 설계를 찾는데 도움을 준다. 본 비용 예측 방법은 Computer-Aided Design 도구들을 이용하여 시스템 동작 표현으로부터 시작하여 시스템 분할과 상위 수준 합성을 거쳐 레지스터 전송 수춘 단계에서 비용 예측을 실행한다. 사례 연구로 SWIR focal plane으로부터 생성되는 신호를 처리하는 신호처리기의 비용 예측을 실험한다. IBM 1.0 마이크론 기술의 CMOS 표준 셀을 적용하여 실험을 한 결과 각 채널로부터 전달되는 데이터를 실행하기 위해서는 3개의 칩이 필요했다.

적색 항균성 반응염료의 합성과 염색특성 (Synthesis of Antibiotic Red Reactive Dye and Its Dyeing Property)

  • The antibiotic reactive dye was synthesized by coupling of reactive chromagen with diazotised silver sulfadiazine for an antibiotic property. The highly reactive MCT(monochlorotriazine) and DCT (dichlorotriazine) type functional groups which have heterocyclic ring and moderately reactive VS-type dye that has good dyeability were used for reactivity. The synthesized antibiotic reactive dye is expected to impart the antibiotic function with high durability on cotton fabric only by one-step dyeing process without further finishing treatment. The synthesis of antibiotic dye was easily proceeded thorough diazotisation of silver sulfadiazine and coupling with suitable chromogen. The dyeability of synthesized dye for cotton fabrics was excellent and the dyed fabrics showed good level of lightfastness, resistance to washing and rubbing. The antibiotic tests revealed that the dyed cotton fabrics with the synthesized dye had very good antibiotic properties.

  • 본 연구는 상위수준합성에서의 데이터패스합성을 위한 스케쥴링을 다루었다. 특히, 연산자 할당에 필요한 상호연결선을 최적화하기 위한 스케쥴링 방법을 제안하였다. 또한 최적의 스케쥴링 결과를 얻기 위하여 ILP 수식을 이용하였고 본 연구의 효용성을 검증하기 위하여 5차 디지털 웨이브 필터를 대상으로 실험한 결과 기존의 결과 보다 나은 결과를 나타내었다.

스케듈링 기법 연구 (SCHEDULING TECHNIQUE FOR CONTROL STEP)

  • This paper deals with scheduling problems which are the most important subtask in High-Level Synthesis. Especially, we have concentrated our attentions on the data-path scheduling which can get the structural informaion trom the behavioral algorithm as a first step in synthesis procedure. Suggest Forward scheduling methode is executed the ASAP and ALAP scheduling to use the fifth - order elliptic wave filter of a standard benchmark moedl, and then it is drawing up T.N matrix table by the number resource and control-step, using the table extract of the simple than down-limit value of the control-step for the number of given resource th use this table. All of existing list scheduling techniques determine the priority function first, and then do the operation scheduling, But, the suggested forward scheduling technique does the schedule first, and determines the priority functions if needed in scheduling process.

효율적인 하드웨어 공유를 위한 단어길이 최적화 알고리듬 (A bitwidth optimization algorithm for efficient hardware sharing)

  • This paper presents a bitwidth optimization algorithm for efficient hardware sharing in digital signal processing system. The proposed algorithm determines the fixed-point representation for each signal through bitwidth optimization to generate the hardware requiring less area. To reduce the operator area, the algorithm partitions the abstract operations in the design description into several groups, such that the operations in the same group can share an operator. The partitioning result are fed to a high-level synthesis system to generate the pipelined fixed-point datapaths. The proposed algorithm has been implemented in SODAS-DSP an automatic synthesis system for fixed-point DSP hardware. Accepting the models of DSP algorithms in schematics, the system automatically generates the fixed-point datapath and controller satisfying the design constraints in area, speed, and SNR(Signal-to-Noise Ratio). Experimental results show that the efficiency of the proposed algorithm by generates the area-efficient DSP hardwares satisfying performance constraints.
