Red-emitting nitride phosphors recently attracted considerable attention because of their high thermal stability and high color rendering index properties. For excellent phosphor of white light-emitting-diode, ternary nitride phosphor of $Sr/SmSi_5N_8:Eu^{2+}$ with different $Eu^{2+}$ ion concentration were synthesized by solid state reaction method. In this work, red-emitting nitride $Sr/SmSi_5N_8:Eu^{2+}$ phosphor was successfully synthesized by using multi-step high frequency induction heat treatment. The effects of molar ratio of component and experimental conditions on luminescence property of prepared phosphors have been investigated. The structure and luminescence properties of prepared $Sr/SmSi_5N_8:Eu^{2+}$ phosphors were investigated by XRD and photoluminescence spectroscopy. The excitation spectra of $Sr/SmSi_5N_8:Eu^{2+}$ phosphors indicated broad excitation wavelength range of 300 - 550 nm, namely from UV to visible area with distinct enhanced emission peaks. With an increase of $Eu^{2+}$ ion concentration, the peak position of emission in spectra was red-shifted from 613 to 671 nm. After via multi-step heat treatment, prepared phosphor showed excellent luminescence properties, such as high emission intensity and low thermal quenching, better than commercial phosphor of $Y_3Al_5O_{12}:Ce^{3+}$. Using $Eu_2O_3$ as a raw material for $Eu^{2+}$ dopant with nitrogen gas flowing instead of using commercial EuN chemical for $Sr/SmSi_5N_8:Eu^{2+}$ synthesis is one of characteristic of this work.

We prepared a Ni-ferrite encapsulated Mo-permalloy powder through simple electroless plating and heat treatment. It was observed that Ni-ferrite particles formed in a spherical form on each Mo-permalloy grain. The microstructure and the magnetic characteristics of the encapsulated powders depended strongly on oxidation time in the heat-treatment. When the powder was oxidized for 60 min, a dense Ni-ferrite layer covered the Mo-permalloy grain, which in turn exhibited high saturation magnetization of 85.8 emu/g. The magnetic core prepared additionally with the encapsulated powder exhibited a resonant frequency of 12 kHz.
Transparent conductive ZnO/Ag/ZnO (ZAZ) multilayer films were deposited by Radio frequency (RF) magnetron sputtering and direct current (DC) magnetron sputtering. The effects of post deposition vacuum annealing temperature on the structural, electrical and optical properties of the ZAZ multilayer films were investigated. The thickness of ZAZ films is kept constant at ZnO 50 nm/Ag 5nm/ZnO 45 nm, while the vacuum annealing temperatures were varied from 200 and $400^{\circ}C$, respectively. As-deposited ZAZ films exhibit a sheet resistance of $6.1{\Omega}/{\Box}$ and optical transmittance of 72.7%. By increasing annealing temperature to $200^{\circ}C$, the resistivity decreased to as low as $5.3{\Omega}/{\Box}$ and optical transmittance also increased to as high as 82.1%. Post-deposition annealing of ZAZ multilayer films lead to considerably lower electrical resistivity and higher optical transparency, simultaneously by increased crystallization of the films.
In this paper, the surface roughness influenced by Sm45C hardness in high frequency induction hardening and mechanical characteristics for the changed Hv 598 part and the unchanged hardness Hv 223 part by use of cermet and ceramic cutting tools was experimentally examined. Finally, we could be had some important results by processing surface roughness on cutting conditions such as cutting speed, feed rate, depth of cut and changes of tool nose radius. The results are summarized as follows. 1. In case of the same cutting condition, the hardness of workpiece was high and acquired the best processing surface roughness when the radius of the tool nose had 0.8 mm and feed rate was 0.04 mm/rev. 2. In case of the hardness of workpiece, though the cutting speed didn't have an effect on processing surface roughness, the less feed rate and the more processing surface roughness improved. On the other hand, the low inside the hardness of workpiece, the more cutting speed and the more feed rate increase, the processing surface of roughness improved. 3. Regardless of the hardness of workpiece, the change of the cutting depth didn't have great effect on the surface roughness. 4. On cutting the high surface hardness part with cutting tools of cermet and ceramic, it can be acquired the higher processing surface roughness because it hadn't been taken effect on cutting speed, In case of the cutting process of the low inside hardness part the two cutting tools have acquired the similar processing surface roughness.
Demand for new nondestructive evaluations is growing to detect tensile crack growth behavior to predict long term performance of materials and structure in aggressive environments, especially when they are in non-visible area. Acoustic emission technique is well suited to these problems and has drawn a keen interests because of its dynamic detection ability, extreme sensitivity and location of growing defects. In this study, we investigated the strength of fire resistance steel for frame structure by tensile test after degradation treatment and analysed acoustic emission signals obtained from tensile test with time frequency analysis methods. In the T and TN specimens(under $600^{\circ}C$-10min ) consisting of ferrite and pearlite structure, most of acoustic emission events were produced near yield point, mainly due to the dislocation activities during the deformation. However, B specimen under $600^{\circ}C$-10min had a two peak which was attribute to the presence of martensite phase. The first peak is before yield point and the second after yield point. The sources of second acoustic emission peak were the debonding of martensite-martensite interface and the micro-cracking of brittle martensite phase. In $600^{\circ}C$-30min to $700^{\circ}C$-60min, many signals were observed before yield point and were decreased after yield point.
In this study, the mechanical properties of 80% cold-rolled austenitic 316L stainless steel were evaluated using specimens subjected to reverse transformation at 500-750℃ for 20 minutes and reverse transformation at 700℃ for 2-60 minutes. Also, for the elastic wave obtained from the tensile test, the dominant frequency according to the reverse transformation condition was investigated by time-frequency analysis. The SEM image of the 80% cold-rolled material was transformed into martensite and showed line and cross shapes. The TEM image showed that line shapes were shown at the grain, and grain boundary of martensite. The higher the heat treatment temperature and the longer time, the larger the grain. Tensile strength decreased as the heat treatment temperature and time increased, but elongation increased. Hardness was proportional to tensile strength. This is because the grain with different directions showed the same direction due to reverse transformation. The dominant frequency was decreased and then increased as the temperature and time increased. This is because the direction of the grain is different at a low temperature and the same direction is shown at a high temperature.
GaN and InN epilayers with nucleation layer (LT-buffer) were grown on (0001) sapphire substrates by radio-frequency plasma-assisted molecular beam epitaxy (RF-MBE). As-grown and annealed GaN and InN nucleation layers grown at various growth condition were observed by reflection high-energy electron diffraction (RHEED). When temperature of effusion cell for III source was very low, diffraction pattern with cubic symmetry was observed and zincblende nucleation layer was flattened easily by annealing. As cell temperature increased, LT-GaN and LT-InN showed typical diffraction pattern from wurtzite structure, and FWHM of (10-12) plane decreased remarkably which means much improved crystalline quality. Diffraction pattern was changed to be from streaky to spotty when plasma power was raised from 160 to 220 W because higher plasma power makes more nitrogen adatoms on the surface and suppressed surface mobility of III species. Therefore, though wurtzite nucleation layer was a little hard to be flattened compared to zincblende, higher cell temperature led to easier movement of III surface adatoms and resulted in better crystalline quality of GaN and InN epilayers.
The amorphous Co-based alloy Co66Fe4Ni1B15Si14 (Metglas 2714A) is a suitable magnetic core material for high frequency operation. Appreciable reduction of the coercive force can be achieved by proper heat treatment. In this study, samples annealed at wide temperature range were analyzed using differential scanning calorimetry, high frequency B-H loop tester, X-ray diffractometer and resistivity meter. The results show that coercive force at 10 kHz decreases with in-creasing annealing temperature up to 773 K, but dramatically increases above this temperature. The squareness shows that the magnetic anisotropy on longitudinal direction of the as-cast state remains up to 773 K. Above this temperature, it decreases down to 0.5 that represents random distribution of magnetic domains. The crystallization abruptly occurs between 781 K and 783 K.
We examined the magnetic properties as a function of annealing temperature of the as-quenched $Fe_{87}Zr_{7}B_{5}Ag_{1}$ amorphous alloy. The values of $H_{c}$=30m0e, $B_{a}$=0.44T and ${\mu}$i=146000 at $300^{\circ}C$ annealing treatment are obtained. The excel lent soft magnetic properties seem to result from the annihilation of quenching-Induced internal stress by the heat treatment and the change of microstructure due to the different relaxation behavior owing to adding insoluble element such as Ag. Therefore, the $Fe_{87}Zr_{7}B_{5}Ag_{1}$ amorphous alloy is quite promising for practical use as a core material in various transformers of high transformers of high frequency.
