  • Active noise control technique has superior performance in low frequency ranges(50 .approx. 400Hz) to the conventional passive noise control technique. For the feasibility of active noise control, it is required to develop a controller which can implement control algorithm on real-time. In this study, therefore, real-time controller is developed using TMS320c25, high speed digital processor. Unlike conventional DSP board of complete ADD ON type, it is possible for the developed controller to interface with the other computer system easily by series communication for the convenience of program development. Furthermore it is designes to be separated readily as a control device. Active noise control of duct system is implemented ti evaluate a performance of developed device. Active noise control of duct system is implemented to evaluate a performance of developed controller using filtered-x LMS algorithm.

  • In this study, the controller using TMS320LF2407 low voltage DSP for motor control is designed and realized. It has 40 MIPS calculating ability and its driving voltage is 3.3 V for low power. The peripheral elements, however usually use 5 V and they need voltage transfer interface. In this study, voltage transformation and reducing noise are studied and space vector PWM is adopted as a motor control scheme. According to these methods, the efforts for software programming and calculation processes are reduced. In addition, the hardware is also simplified by substituting the current control part with software programming. Through this study, the DSP based servo controller increases its ability for high performance multi-function on semiconductor transportation equipments..

  • High frequency switching converters are becoming more popular because of several benefits which are essential in power conversion system. This paper introduces a high speed digital controller using TMS320C40 DSP chip which can be used for high frequency switching converters and demonstrates its performance by operating three-phase PWM AC/DC converter with unity power factor at 20kHz sampling frequency. TMS320C40 DSP chip operates with 40-ns instruction cycle times and is capable of 275 MOPS. The running time of real time control loop at the three-phase PWM AC/DC converter is $44.6{\mu}sec$.

  • This paper represents a design and implementation of a digital controller for a multi-phase synchronous buck converter (SBC) using a digital signal processor (DSP). The multi-phase SBC has generally been used for a voltage regulation module (VRM) of a microprocessor because of its high current handling capability at a low output voltage. The VRM requires high control performance of tight output regulation, high slew rate, and load sharing capability of multiple converters. In order to achieve these requirements, the design and implementation of a digital control system for a multi-phase SBC are presented in this paper. The digital PWM generation, current sensing, and voltage and current controller using a DSP TMS320F2812 are considered. The experimental results are provided to show the validity of the implemented digital control system.

  • Parallel processing algorithms, coupled with advanced networking and distributed computing architectures, improve the overall computational performance, dependability, and versatility of a digital signal processing system In this paper, novel parallel algorithms are introduced and investigated for advanced sonar algorithm, conventional matched-field processing (CMFP). Based on a specific domain, each parallel algorithm decomposes the sequential workload in order to obtain scalable parallel speedup. Depending on the processing requirement of the algorithm, the computational performance of the parallel algorithm reveals different characteristics. The high-complexity algorithm, CMFP shows scalable parallel performance on the array of DSP processors. The impact on parallel performance due to workload balancing, communication scheme, algorithm complexity, processor speed, network performance, and testbed configuration is explored.

  • This paper presents a PM type BLDC(Brushless DC) Motor servo drive system using high performance DSP TMS320F2812. The DSP controller with 150MIPS enables an enhanced real time implementation and increased efficiency and high performance for motor drive. The suggested drive system consists of PI action for the constant speed control and PID action for the current control with only 3 Halls, no encoders. The developed servo drive control system shows a good response speed characteristics at high speed up to 10000 [rpm].

  • The conventional electro-mechanical circuit break and relay are widely used in large-sized DC power system. However, recently due to high reliability, remote controllability and small power dissipation of a RSSPC(Remote Solid State Power Controller), high-friendly DC power systems have increasingly adopted the RSSPC as a essential element. In this paper, we have conducted a mathematical modeling to analyze the performance of the proposed RSSPC system with the optimal signal range for $I^2t$. Based on the calculation, the RSSPC system has been implemented by DSP.

  • To implement the continuously evolving mobile communication standards such as Long Term Evolution (LTE) and 5G, the Software Defined Radio (SDR) concept provides great flexibility and efficiency. For many years, a high-end Digital Signal Processor (DSP) System on Chip (SoC) has been developed to support multicore and various hardware coprocessors. This paper introduces the implementation of the SDR platform hardware using TI's TCI663x chip. Using the platform, LTE transport channel is implemented by interworking multicore DSP with Bit rate Coprocessor (BCP) and Turbo Decoder Coprocessor (TCP) and the performance is evaluated according to various implementation options. In order to evaluate the performance of the implemented LTE transport channel, LTE base station system was constructed by combining FPGA main board for physical channels, SDR platform board, and RF & Antenna board.

  • This paper deals with the experimental assessment of the vibration suppression of the smart structures. First. we have presented a new high-speed active control system using the DSP320C6713 microprocessor. A peripheral system developed is composed of a data acquisition system, N/D and D/A converters, piezoelectric (PZT) actuator/sensors, and drivers for fast data processing. Next, we have tested the processing time of the peripheral devices, and provided the corresponding test results. Since fast data processing is very important in the active vibration control of the structures, we have focused on achieving the fast loop times of the control system. Finally, numerous experiments were carried out on the aluminum plate to validate the superior performance of the vibration control system at different control loop times.
