열처리된 페놀수지 표면에서의 방전 특성과 구조분석 (Surface Discharge Characteristics of Phenolic Resin Treated by Heat and Its Structure Analysis)

  • 페놀수지 표면에서의 트래킹 방전에 대한 화재원인을 규명하기 위하여 검증실험, FT-IR, DTA, 사진촬영 등의 다양한 방법으로 분석하였다. 페놀수지는 유기질 절연재료 중 저전압기기의 외함재료로 가장 많이 이용된다. 본 실험에서는 외부열에 의해 탄화질로 변화되는 것과 전기적 원인에 의해 흑연질이 되는 것에 대해 재료분석을 통한 방법으로 규명하였다. FT-IR을 이용하여 표면방전에 의해 탄화된 시료는 $150[^{\circ}C]$에서 열처리된 시료로부터 약 $1730[cm^{-1}]$ 부분과 $1680[cm^{-1}]$부근의 적외선흡광피크를 확인하였다. DTA를 이용하여 페놀수지는 약 $450[^{\circ}C]$ 부근에서 발열피크가 나타났으며, 방전에 의해 탄화된 재료는 약 $610[^{\circ}C]$ 부근에서 발열피크가 나타나는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이로써 전기화재원인을 규명하는 것이 가능하게 되었다. 이 결과들로부터, 전기화재의 예방과 국민의 생명과 재산을 지키는 중요한 자료가 될 것으로 기대된다.

Body Weight Changes of Laboratory Animals during Transportation

  • The majority of laboratory animals were transported from commercial breeders to a research facility by ground transportation. During the transportation, many biological functions and systems can be affected by stress. In this experiment, the change of body weight during the transportation was measured and the recovery periods from the transportation stress established based on the body weight changes. Total 676 laboratory animals which were aged between 3 to 9 wk old were studied. The transportation time taken from container packing to unpacking the container was approximately 24 h. The temperature of animal container was constantly maintained by air-conditioning and heating equipment. Rats were found to be more sensitive than mice. The body weight of rats was significantly decreased 3.71% (p<0.05) compared to the body weight of mice which decreased 0.9% There was no significant difference between the strains in the same species. When the changes of body weights were compared between delivery days, C57BL/6 mice showed the most variable changes compared to other species and strains. Consequently, C57BL/6 was more sensitive to stress than the other strains and the transportation process needs to be standardized to reduce between day variability. To establish the recovery periods from transportation stress, the body weight changes were measured during the acclimation period. Although the body weight of animals decreased during transportation, animals recovered their weight loss after the next day.

DAEM 분석 방법을 통한 국내 수입탄의 탈휘발화 반응특성 비교연구 (Application of a DAEM Method for a Comparison of Devolatilization Kinetics of Imported Coals)

  • 본 연구 목적은 두가지 종류의 국내 수입탄에 대한 열분해 반응율을 구하고 이를 비교하는 것이다. 이를 위해 TGA를 통하여 열분해 실험을 수행하였으며, 반응상수 분석은 New DAEM 방법을 이용하였다. 서로 다른 가열속도에서 각각 얻어진 TGA 질량변화 곡선으로부터, 활성화 에너지의 분포함수를 구한 후 최고빈도를 나타내는 활성화 에너지를 평균 활성화 에너지로 결정하였다. 그 결과 석탄의 종류에 따라 상기 반응에 대한 반응속도상수가 확실한 차이를 보였다. 이 같은 New DAEM 분석기법을 통해 얻은 반응상수를 적용시킨 CPD 모델을 가지고 예측한 결과가 TGA 실험치와 비교할 때보다 더 잘 일치함도 확인할 수 있었다.

30CMM급 태양기공 전기집진 설비의 실내분진 정화 능력에 관한 실험연구 (An Experimental Study of 30CMM Solar Transpired Collector and Cyclone(STCC) System on Indoor Air Dust Removal Performance)

  • Higher requirement of advanced building design code and the development of construction technique have resulted in more thermal and air tight buildings. This has caused the sick building syndrome in a indoor air quality has been relatively getting worse. A new concept with a solar fresh air heating and electrostatic precipitator or called as STCC(Solar Transpired Collector and Cyclone) has been proposed to solve this IAQ issue. This paper describes the assessment study of STCC system under different outdoor airflow rates. The experiment was carried out under real condition with 30CMM STCC system test facility. Incense smoke was used to study the particle concentration decay trends under outdoor airflow rates 0CMM, 10CMM, 20CMM, 30CMM, with applied voltages of 5kV and 15kV for collecting and discharging electrodes of an Electrostatic Precipitator. Result shows that the particle decay increases by increasing the outdoor airflow rates. The collection efficiency, dust cleaning effectiveness(P) and application area calculation result comparisons have also been studied. This factors could be used to estimate how a dust of indoor air quality(IAQ) and removed for a building space with a STCC system.

낙법(烙法)에 관한 중의(中醫) 논문 고찰 (A Review of the TCM Articles about Cauterization Treatment)

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study is to review the chinese published papers on cauterization of traditional chinese medicine. Methods : We searched chinese published papers from 1958 until May 2017 via CNKI(China National Knowledge Infrastructure) with the keyword "cauterization". We analyzed the studies covered cauterization medical treatment, and classified them by 5 categories including periods, type of study, treatment site, experiment target site, and cauterizing method. Results : We reviewed 112 chinese papers which include 10 Original articles, 43 Review articles, and 59 Case reports. Examining yearly distributions, we can see that research on cauterization is becoming more active than in the past. In classification of 93 clinical studies by treatment site, the number of research on Tonsillitis accounts for almost half(43 studies), followed by Sore throat(14 studies). Among 10 experimental studies, Eye is the most frequently targeted organ which was used to study high intra-ocular pressure(5 studies), and retinal ganglion cell(2 studies). Lastly, there are various methods of cauterization used in papers: Branding iron(54 studies), and Red-hot needle(24 studies) are two major heating methods. Conclusions : This analysis shows that studies on the application of cauterization have been actively conducted in China these days. Furthermore, up-to-date cauterizing methods have been developed such as electric type and microwave type beyond traditional ways. We expect this article will encourage further research on cauterization in order to apply it to a variety of diseases. Then, it could become one of new effective medical treatments in Korean medicine.

다공성 알루미나 박막을 이용한 금속 나노우물과 나노그물 구조의 박막 제작 (Fabrication of Nanowellstructured and Nanonetstructured Metal Films using Anodic Porous Alumina Film)

  • 나노 다공성 알루미나 박막을 제작하고 이를 주형으로 사용해서 진공증착에 의해 규칙적으로 배열된 나노우물구조와 나노그물구조의 금속 박막들(알루미늄, 주석, 코발트)을 제작하였다. 원하는 금속물질을 증발시키기 위하여 저항가열 방법을 사용하였으며, 증착은 torr의 기저진공 속에서 수행되었다. 실험결과에 의하면, 나노우물과 나노그물 구조의 박막 중 어떤 구조가 합성되느냐 하는 것은 증착되는 물질의 양에 의해서 큰 영향을 받는다는 사실을 알 수 있었다. 세포의 크기가 100 nm이고 세공 직경이 60 nm인 다공성 알루미나 박막을 사용했을 때는 대략 우물구조를 합성하는데 필요한 질량의 절반이하 정도가 증착되게 되면 그물 구조가 합성되는 경향을 보여주었다.

Building Control Box Attached Monitor based Color Grid Recognition Methods for User Access Authentication

  • The secure access the lighting, Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), fire safety, and security control boxes of building facilities is the primary objective of future smart buildings. This paper proposes an authorized user access to the electrical, lighting, fire safety, and security control boxes in the smart building, by using color grid coded optical camera communication (OCC) with face recognition Technologies. The existing CCTV subsystem can be used as the face recognition security subsystem for the proposed approach. At the same time a smart device attached camera can used as an OCC receiver of color grid code for user access authentication data sent by the control boxes to proceed authorization. This proposed approach allows increasing an authorization control reliability and highly secured authentication on accessing building facility infrastructure. The result of color grid code sequence received by the unauthorized person and his face identification allows getting good results in security and gaining effectiveness of accessing building facility infrastructure. The proposed concept uses the encoded user access authentication information through control box monitor and the smart device application which detect and decode the color grid coded informations combinations and then send user through the smart building network to building management system for authentication verification in combination with the facial features that gives a high protection level. The proposed concept is implemented on testbed model and experiment results verified for the secured user authentication in real-time.

수직 Bridgman법에 의한 CdTe 단결정의 성장과 특성 (Growth and characterization of CdTe single crystals by vertical Bridgman method)

  • 두 개의 siliconit 발열체를 써서 이단 전기로를 제작하여 수직 Bridgman법으로 CdTe 단결정을 성장시켰다. 상단전기로의 최고온부를 $1150^{\circ}C$로 고정시키고 하단전기로를 $800^{\circ}C$로 하였을 때, $22.51150^{\circ}C$/cm의 온도 기울기를 얻었다. 성장된 시료의 X$.$선 회절 실험으로부터 얻은 격자상수 $a_0$는 6.482$\AA$이었고, 실온에서 광흡수 측정으로부터 얻은 밴드갭 에너지는 1.478eV이었다. 광발광(PL) 실험으로부터, 구속된 엑시톤 방출 피크가 각각 ($A^0$, X) (1.5902, 1.5887ev), (h,$D^o$) (1.5918 eV) 그리고 ($D^o$, X) (1.5928, 1.5932 eV)의 방출 피크로 분리되는 것을 확인할 수 있었으며, 중성주개와 중성받개의 결합에너지와 이온화에너지를 계산하였다.

종이 바이오매스의 열분해에서 니켈 촉매에 의한 수소제조특성 (Production of $H_2$ Gas in Pyrolysis of Paper Biomass using Ni-based Catalysts)

  • In the present study, biomass pyrolysis was done using five different kinds of catalysts with change in the support species and their compositions. Ni was loaded on alumina, ceria and alumina-ceria supports using co-precipitation method. In all the catalysts, 30wt% of nickel was loaded on the support materials. The paper used in daily writing purposes was taken into account as biomass sample. In the experiment, 19 of biomass was mixed with o.1g of each catalyst separately. Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) was performed with all the catalysts diminished the initial degradation temperature of paper biomass sample considerably. During the pyrolysis process, the temperature was raised from room temperature to $800^{\circ}C$ with the heating rate of $10^{\circ}C$/min in the furnace. The cumulative $H_2$ volume had reached the best value of l4.02ml with the Ni/$Al_2O_3-CeO_2$ 30wt%/(50wt%-50wt%) catalysts. In presence of all the catalysts, the highest amount of $H_2$ was produced at $800^{\circ}C$, 10min. of residence time.

TOWARD NEXT GENERATION SOLAR CORONAGRAPH: DEVELOPMENT OF COMPACT DIAGNOSTIC CORONAGRAPH ON ISS

  • The Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute plans to develop a coronagraph in collaboration with National Aeronautics and Space Administrative (NASA) and install it on the International Space Station (ISS). The coronagraph is an externally occulted one stage coronagraph with a field of view from 2.5 to 15 solar radii. The observation wavelength is approximately 400 nm where strong Fraunhofer absorption lines from the photosphere are scattered by coronal electrons. Photometric filter observation around this band enables the estimation of 2D electron temperature and electron velocity distribution in the corona. Together with the high time cadence (< 12 min) of corona images to determine the geometric and kinematic parameters of coronal mass ejections, the coronagraph will yield the spatial distribution of electron density by measuring the polarized brightness. For the purpose of technical demonstration, we intend to observe the total solar eclipse in 2017 August for the filter system and to perform a stratospheric balloon experiment in 2019 for the engineering model of the coronagraph. The coronagraph is planned to be installed on the ISS in 2021 for addressing a number of questions (e.g. coronal heating and solar wind acceleration) that are both fundamental and practically important in the physics of the solar corona and of the heliosphere.
