The purpose of this study is to identify the perception of New-Hanbok Skirts that female consumers have and to analyze the design preference based on the analysis of designs of skirt products currently in distribution. Based on the analysis of the New-Hanbok brand website, the research was conducted through a survey of 355 women in their 20s and older. The survey consisted of 24 questions which were divided into pattern, color, material, and recognition type questions. The research results are as follows. First, most adult women answered that a New-Hanbok skirt is appropriate to wear at a holiday, anniversary, or outer dress for the spring and autumn seasons, and the design is the most important thing when considering buying. However, the ratios of wearing experience and possession were very low. Second, the preferred design aspects of a New-Hanbok skirt were the Jarak-skirt or Deot-skirt, calf-length, 5cm width of the waistband, 3cm uniform crease, a normal length waistband, bright neutral colors, and a waistband in different colors. For the double skirt, the design that shows 4cm of lining fabric and the different colors of upper fabric was the most preferred. The most preferred material was plain cotton. On the other hand, small floral patterns were preferred for patterned materials, and opaque upper fabric was most preferred for the double skirt. Through this study, it was confirmed that the Hanbok is seen as a positive aspect for modern consumers.

This study is to find physiological effects of acoustic information on landscape preference. Both the volume and the rate of $\alpha$-waves and $\beta$-waves were used to measure the effects in the study. The result of this study are summarized as follows: The outputting amount of $\alpha$-waves are sorted by different types of visual and acoustic factors. The results show that acoustic factors interacted with visual factors. That is, although visual factors are positive, the volume of $\alpha$-waves depends upon the character of acoustic factors; positive acoustic factors produce more $\alpha$-waves than negative or neutral(soundless) acoustic factors. Also the volume of $\alpha$-waves increase in the case of positive acoustic factors even if there is the same negative visual information. The results show that the volume of $\alpha$-waves increase without connecting with the types of visual factors. The volume of $\beta$-waves are largely reduced when visual stimulus is positive and soundless stimulus is provided. On the other hand, they generally increase when both visual and acoustic stimuli are negative, which fosters extremely unstable, tense and upset stress. The rate of $\alpha$-waves increase according to supplying positive acoustic factors in the opposed visual factors. The rate of wave(shouldn't be $\alpha$-waves\ulcorner) is high if both visual and acoustic factors are positive, so it is the most comfortable and causes no stress. Preference is the lowest if visual and acoustic factors are negative, but a -waves are conspicuously low in positive visual and negative acoustic factors.

Purpose: This research was conducted to provide basic data on Kimchi consumption of high school students by determining their recognition and preferences related to Kimchi. Methods: Our survey was administered to 450 high school students in the Incheon area from September 1 to October 30, 2015. A total of 412 questionnaires were used for the final analysis. Results: Most students (42.6%) consumed Kimchi every meal (more than 3 meals/day), and only 3.6% did not consume Kimchi at all. The most common reason for consuming Kimchi was 'tasty' (46.4%). On the other hand, those who did not consume Kimchi cited 'preference for other side dishes' (50.0%). 'Home-made Kimchi' was the most common source of consumed Kimchi (63.0%). With respect to recognition of Kimchi, most cited terms were 'traditional' ($4.64{\pm}0.58$), followed by 'healthy' ($4.30{\pm}0.77$) and 'prefer home-made' ($3.88{\pm}0.93$) (p<0.001). The average preference for Kimchi was $3.71{\pm}1.07$. The most common reason for preferences was 'crisp texture' (37.6%). The most popular flavor was 'spicy' (33.6%), and the most popular fermentation level was 'appropriate' (55.6%). When preferences for Kimchi were further analyzed, 'baechu Kimchi' (4.18) was the most popular. Further, Kimchi is a popular ingredient for many dishes, and the most popular dish was 'stir-fried pork with Kimchi' (4.50). Conclusion: In the future, positive recognition of Kimchi consumption can be promoted through nutrition education and various advertisements. Furthermore, efforts should be made to establish the principles of traditional Korean food for students.
The soybean varieties the bean bug preferred the least were Kwangankong, Namhaekong, Sunamkong, Sorogkong, and Anpyeongkong, and next to them was Pungsannamulkong, among 25 varieties examined. Myongjunamulkong and Eunhakong supported a good growth of the bug as the daily gains of weight of 3rd instar nymphs were 14,9 and 13.9 mg, respectively. On the other hand the bug on Punsannamulkong gained weight daily as little as 10.1 mg. On Pungsannamulkong the nymphal development of the bean bug took $24.5{\pm}2.1$ days, about three days longer than those on Myunjunamulkong and Eunhakong. The survival of the bean bug on Punsannamulkong was 83%, slightly lower than those on Myunjunarnulkong and Eunhakong. It seemed evident that Pungsannamulkong have a non-preference type resistance to the bean bug.
We studied teachers' breakfast habits and their preferences on various breakfast types so that we will furnish data to nutrition education including ideal breakfast habit and development of various menus. The meal considered as most importantly were dinner (66.2%), fellowed by lunch(21.6%), all three meals(6.4%) and breakfast(5.8%). Men considered breakfast more importantly than women. On the contrary, women considered dinner more significantly compared to men. The group aged 45 and over emphasized breakfast and all three meal. 78.1% of subjects answered that breakfast is necessary and 61.5% of subjects ate breakfast regularly. Those who have breakfast regularly was lower in women(50.0%) than in men(71.3%). Instead, those who eat breakfast irregularly or skipping it was higher among women(50.0%) than among men(29.7%). The percentages of having breakfast regularly was higher in older groups. For breakfast, 82.1% of subjects had conventional meal which included rice, soup and Kimch. On the other hand, 13.9% of subjects had Western style breakfast such as bread, cornflakes and milk. The major reason for eating breakfast regularly was answered as 'maintain health(71.8%)'. The major reason for eating breakfast irregularly or skipping was 'don't have enough time to eat(48.0%)', 'poor appetite(28.6%)'. The major physical discomfort after skipping breakfast was 'experience brash(35.6%)', 'lack of physical strength(35.1%)'. Subjects answered that breakfast served as 'source of physical strength(64.9%)', 'provides nutritional balance for a day(21.1%)' and 15.0% of subjects ate out breakfast. Therefore, it is suggested that teachers as well as school children be provided breakfast and snack in school. The preference and opinion regarding breakfast types wer conventional food including rice, soup and Kimch(67.0%). There was a little preference in Western style food such as bread, milk and coffee(14.3%), cereals mixture and porridge(10.7%). It was noticeable that 49.1% of females and those who reside in Seoul(42.2%) selected various breakfast types excluding conventional food. Therefore it will be accepted to working women as breakfast if it is nutritionally balanced and cook well in short time.
This study was performed in order to identify nutritional factors affecting on skin sebum content with 131 female university undergraduates in 2003. We measured the sebum contents of 4 facial spots to classify their skin types. Daily energy and nutrient intakes of the subjects were not deficient except in calcium and iron, which were 466.2 mg (66.6% RDA) and 8.5 mg (53.4% RDA) relatively. We observed no significant difference of energy and nutrient intakes among the 3 skin types. But significantly higher consumption of grains and slightly higher frequencies of several food groups (excepting starches) were shown in oily skin types, so they might have higher nutrient intakes. Serum indices and food preferences mostly revealed no difference among the 3 skin types. But in the oily skin type, serum phosphorus levels were significantly lower than others, suggesting phosphorus-rich food consumption like soft drinks and pains could lead to a dry skin type rather than an oily one. Also in the oily skin type, sweet taste preference was slightly tower than others; more-over, sweet intake was lower samely significantly. There was mostly no significant relationship between facial sebum contents and nutrient intakes, dietary behavior, food frequency and food preference except in some factors. Animal protein intake showed a significant negative relationship toward facial sebum content. On the other hand, in normal skin type, Fishes consumed was slightly higher than others, so that higher animal protein consumption presumably leads to normal skin type. Frequency of fried food and bacon and preference of fried foods showed slightly negative relationships toward facial sebum content. Regular meal times showed significantly increased facial sebum content.
This study has a purpose of examining the relationship between visual preference and typicality of natural landscapes in view of cross-cultural comparison. Both the photographs of the Cairngorms National Park of Scotland and those of the Jirisan National Park of Korea were used for selecting typical landscape of each National Park. To measure landscape preferences, a photo-questionnaire was implemented to the visitors of each National Park. Results showed that there was a significant relationship between age and number of visits and that Cairngorms visitors had visited the Park more frequently. The high typicality of Cairngorms landscape was negatively related to visual preferences. On the other hand, in case of Jirisan visitors, the high typicality of Jirlsan landscape was positively related to visual preferences. Although there was a significant relationship between typicality and visual preference, the way in which they were related differed between the separate cultural regions.
A number of studies have been conducted on the evaluation of bi-national products, but studies that may be applied in practice are lacking. This study suggests several implications for bi-national products in the sub-market using a more specific approach than previous studies. To this end, this comprehensive comparative study reflects the purchasing routes, product category, and consumers' personal characteristics (regulatory focus, prior knowledge) of bi-national products. Results found the evaluation of bi-national products according to purchase routes showed that consumers in offline stores were more favorable than consumers in online stores. In comparison with product categories, necessities were more positive than luxury goods. On the other hand, according to consumer's personal characteristics, consumers with promotion focus tendency perceived brand preference more highly than consumers with preference focus tendency. Also, it was found that groups with high prior knowledge had a positive evaluation of products compared to low knowledge groups.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the usage and perception jochung Self-administered questionnaires were collected from 445 living residents in the Daegu and Gyeongbuk areas. When purchasing jochung, respondents answered that they considered both health and taste. Recognition rate scores for jochung were in the order of 'brown rice', 'balloon flower', 'plum', and 'corn'. On the other hand, recognition rate scores for 'purple radish', 'sword bean', and 'sasa quelpaertensis' were very low. Preference and intake levels of jochung were in the order of 'plum', 'corn', 'sorghum', 'strawberry' and 'balloon flower'. On the other hand, preferences for 'purple radish', 'sword bean', and 'Hovenia dulcis' were very low. Reasons for eating jochung as a sweetener were identified as due to 'family, friend, or neighbor' (40.1%) and 'for health' (39.2%), and 54.6% ate it once or twice per week. Consumers showed low preference for different jochung used as sweeteners, and did not exactly recognize the characteristics of various jochung. Furthermore, 70.8% replied "increasing" prospects for jochung consumption. To increase consumption of jochung, there is a need for greater hygiene and safety with regards to jochung products as well as variations and improvements in quality.
