Here we generalize previous work by Eisenbud-Harris and Farkas in order to prove that certain Brill-Noether divisors on the moduli space of curves have distinct supports. From this fact we deduce non-trivial regularity results for a higher co dimensional Brill-Noether locus and for the general $\frac{g+1}{2}$-gonal curve of odd genusg.

In this note we use the Poisson Summation Formula to generalize a result of Harris and Park (1994) on lattice distributions induced by uniform (0,1) random variables to those generated by random variables with step functions as their probability functions.

Inspired by the reduction formulae between intersection numbers on Grassmannians obtained by Griffiths-Harris and the factorization theorem of Littlewood-Richardson coefficients by King, Tollu and Toumazet, eight reduction formulae has been discovered by the author and others. In this paper, we prove r = 1 reduction formula by constructing a bijective map between suitable sets of Littlewood-Richardson tableaux.

Criteria are derived for the existence of a unique invariant oprobability distribution of a class of nonlinear pth-order autoregressive oprocesses, which reformulate those of Tweedie's. It will be shown that the criteria in this paper are easily applicable to the linear or piecewise linear case so that some of the earlier results are immediate consequences of our main results.

This paper discusses the training simulator designed to improve the skills of operators who handle the SCADA System of KEPCO. The system is composed of the simulation subsystem and database, and implemented on the 386 based P.C, It is linked to existing SCADA system (HARRIS computer and TADCOM) to work realistically for the situation of accidents and corresponding actions.

KLT 알고리즘은 자기상관성을 이용하여 선정한 물체의 모서리(conner)를 추적할 특징으로 삼는데, 여기서 사용할 모서리를 검출하는 데는 Harris 방법이 많이 쓰인다. 해리스 방법에서는 강도(intensity)의 미분치를 평활화(smoothing)한 후 고유치를 구해서 모서리인지 에지인지를 판별하게 되는데, 본 논문에서는 평활화가 모서리검출의 성능에 미치는 영향을 밝힌다.

The problem of estimating the reliability using the Bayesian approach and the prior information about tile reliability of a lognormal distribution is considered. Some Bayes estimators are proposed and studied under the squared error loss and tile Harris loss. Also Monte Carlo simulations are carried out to examine the performances of the proposed estimators and results are provided in the tables.
