수평유지장치의 $H{\infty}$ 제어 ([ $H{\infty}$ ] Control of Level Maintaining Device)

  • This paper is concerned with level control of a upper plate in a vehicle. The objective of control is to maintain the upper plate at level regardless of road slopes. The road slope is detected using an accelerometer-type inclinometer and H infinity control method is used to simultaneously reduce effects of road slopes and sensor noises. By the simulation, it is shown that the upper plate is successfully maintained at level.

  • 폐루프 기준으로 $H_{\infty}$ 제어기를 설계하는 알고리즘에는 3가지(2-ARE, mu-synthesis, LMI) 방법이 있다. 본 논문에서 3가지 $H_{\infty}$ 제어기 설계 알고리즘에 대한 기초 이론을 종합하고, Matlab$^{TM}$에 구현된 함수가 사용될 경우, 실무입장에서 가장 적절하다고 판단되는 $H_{\infty}$ 제어기 설계 알고리즘 제시를 위해 인공위성 자세 제어기 설계 후 결과를 비교 분석하였다: 2-ARE 방법과 LMI 방법은 robust stability, robust performance 및 control authority 측면에서 거의 유사하였으나, LMI 방법에 비해 2-ARE 방법이 weighting 함수설계에 더 민감하였고, mu-synthesis 방법은 다른 2가지 설계 방법에 비해 성능면에서 다소 떨어지고, control authority가 크게 나타났다. 따라서 인공위성 자세제어 설계를 위해 실무 관점에서 LMI 방법이 더 편리한 설계 알고리즘이라는 결론을 얻었다.

  • This paper designs the robust hybrid controller for the multi degree-of-freedom system having uncertainty caused by modeling error and disturbances. The controlled plant is the construction which has an active dynamic vibration absorber on the top and is excited by the El Centre earthquake at the base. The active controller designed by the LQR(Linear Quadratic Regulator) and H-infinity control theory. The robustness of the hybrid H$\infty$ controller is compared with that of the hybrid LQ controller from computer simulation.

  • Self-calibration에서 3차원 좌표의 복원은 호모그래피 행렬 H를 계산하면 얻을 수 있다. 이 호모그래피 행렬을 얻는 방법은 dual absolute quadric, Kruppa Equation(dual conic), plane at infinity(modulus constraint)를 사용하는 방법과 같이 세 가지 방법이 일반적으로 사용된다. 제안하는 방식은 dual absolute quadric을 사용한다. 카메라 내부 속성이 모든 뷰에서 동일하고 비틀림이나 영상의 원점이 중심이라는 가정을 두고 호모그래피 행렬 H를 계산한다. 실험을 통해서 주어진 가정으로 정밀한 복원이 가능함을 보였다.

Robust power control design for a small pressurized water reactor using an H infinity mixed sensitivity method

  • The objective of this study is to design a robust power control system for a small pressurized water reactor (PWR) to achieve stable power operations under conditions of external disturbances and internal model uncertainties. For this purpose, the multiple-input multiple-output transfer function models of the reactor core at five power levels are derived from point reactor kinetics equations and the Mann's thermodynamic model. Using the transfer function models, five local reactor power controllers are designed using an H infinity (H) mixed sensitivity method to minimize the core power disturbance under various uncertainties at the five power levels, respectively. Then a multimodel approach with triangular membership functions is employed to integrate the five local controllers into a multimodel robust control system that is applicable for the entire power range. The performance of the robust power system is assessed against 10% of full power (FP) step load increase transients with coolant inlet temperature disturbances at different power levels and large-scope, rapid ramp load change transient. The simulation results show that the robust control system could maintain satisfactory control performance and good robustness of the reactor under external disturbances and internal model uncertainties, demonstrating the effective of the robust power control design.

X타 수중함의 유도·제어시스템 설계 (Design of Guidance and Control System for X-plane Submarine)

  • Most submarines use the cross-plane, which is convenient and inexpensive, but the number of submarines equipped with an X-plane is increasing recently. This study focuses on designing the control system of the X-plane submarine with various control methods and analyzing the effect of each controller. First, a maneuvering simulation environment for a subjected submarine is established. The dynamics and the operating range of control surfaces are considered. Second, a depth and heading control system of the submarine, which can be divided into three parts, is designed: guidance, controller, and control allocation. The guidance system generates a smooth desired depth and heading. The controller is designed using Proportional-Integral-Differential (PID), Linear Quadratic Regulator (LQR), and H-infinity (H∞) control methods. A linear control allocation method is used to distribute control moment calculated by the controller to the control surfaces. Finally, the designed control system is applied to a subjected X-plane submarine, and a depth and heading control simulations are performed. Each control method is compared and analyzed under various simulation conditions.

H 기반 틸트로터 항공기 횡방향 SCAS 설계 (Design of Lateral SCAS based on H for Tilt Rotor Aircraft)

  • The tilt rotor aircraft has the flight characteristics which takes off vertically like a helicopter and flies forward like an airplane. Especially, the transition process from a helicopter to an airplane mode requires not only the mixing of control inputs but also the stability and controllability augmentation system(SCAS) in order to keep the safe flight because there are compound flight dynamic characteristics of a helicopter and an airplane including non-linearity, uncertainty. This paper describes the design of SCAS in a lateral motion for the tilt rotor aircraft based on the $H_{\infty}$ control method, which was performed from mathematical model with weighting matrix based on the relationship between the $H_{\infty}$ norm and the sensitivity function. Through simulation analysis for the controller designed on the $H_{\infty}$ control theory, it was shown that this method may be applied to the control design of the tilt rotor aircraft.

  • In this paper, we consider the problem of existence of conformal metrics with prescribed mean curvature on the unit ball of ${\mathbb{R}}^n$, $n{\geq}3$. Under the assumption that the order of flatness at critical points of prescribed mean curvature function H(x) is ${\beta}{\in}[1,n-2]$, we give precise estimates on the losses of the compactness and we prove new existence result through an Euler-Hopf type formula.

  • This paper addresses a method of convolutive source separation that based on SEONS (Second Order Nonstationary Source Separation) [1] that was originally developed for blind separation of instantaneous mixtures using nonstationarity. In order to tackle this problem, we transform the convolutive BSS problem into multiple short-term instantaneous problems in the frequency domain and separated the instantaneous mixtures in every frequency bin. Moreover, we also employ a H infinity filtering technique in order to reduce the sensor noise effect. Numerical experiments are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach and compare its performances with existing methods.
