The aim of this paper was to analyze the determinants of farm household income in the Gyeongbuk province. Data from 5,254 villages in the Gyeongbuk province were used. The main results are as follows. First, the percentage of self-supporting villages for fishing villages was 10.8%, which was higher than the average of 6.4%; however, the percentage of self-supporting villages for mountain villages was only 2.7 percent. Second, the level of income was estimated to positively correlate with the ratio of the roof improvement rate, a sisterhood relationship, farming households, and the number of people under the age of 14. Finally, the results show that variables such as age, farming percentage, roof improvement ratio, and a sisterhood relationship were significant. When the percentage for the roof improvement ratio was higher, the ratio for a sisterhood relationship with another city was higher, and when the proportion of farmers was higher, the average income of the village was higher. Based on the results from the above analysis, the following policy implications are suggested. First, the income levels of rural villages in the 1970s are related to the Saemaul project in Korea. In other words, the Saemaul project contributed to improving the farming household income by direct and indirect methods. Second, it can be seen that it is important to develop policies that take into account different village types within rural areas.
Five pigs industry with outbreaks of transmissible gastroenteritis(TGE) in Gyeongbuk province were investigated during the period from January to December 2000. The typical signs of TGE in piglets had transient vomiting and a watery yellowish diarrhea, rapid loss of weight, dehydration and high mortality in pigs under 2 weeks of age. Clinical signs of TGE in growing and finishing pigs and sows were usually limited to inappetence and diarrhea for one or a few days, with vomiting observed in an occasional animal. The detection of TGE viral antigen in epithelial cells of the small intestine had been used in indirect fluorescent antibody test (IFA) for diagnosing TGE in young pigs. WかR had been successfully used to detect the DNA derived from TGEV in specimen of intestinal swabs. Among 5 pigs industry, four showed typical signs of epizootic TGE and one progressing enzootic TGE. It was 22~53 days that the duration of initial clinical disease in TGE outbreaks of pigs investigated in Gyeongbuk province in 2000. However the duration related directly to herd size. Mortality of piglets under 2 weeks of age for duration was 53.2~88.2%, but that of piglets 2~5 weeks of age was 2.5~6.5%. The piglets of 1 weeks of age died mostly during duration of TGE, but varied considerably with husbandry and other environmental factors.
The purpose of this study is to determine the prevalence of Brachyspira hyodysenteriae from 43 swine farms with diarrhea or a history of diarrhea in Gyeongbuk province by PCR. The overall herd prevalence of B hyodysenteriae was 37.2%(16/43), and the average prevalence of B hyodysenteriae among all sampled pigs was 10.8%(50/462). Positive herds for B hyodysenteriae were distributed throughout Gyeongbuk province from 14.3~50%. Herd size had a effect on the frequency of B hyodysenteriae. The frequency of B hyodysenteriae in herds with less than 1,000 pigs was 47.4%, that of herds between 1,001 and 2,000 pigs was 41.7%. Also, the frequency of B hyodysenteriae in herds with more than 2,000 pigs was 16.7%.
While studies have been carried out on endoparasite infection from feces of Korean indigenous goats in multiple areas around the nation, there is no report in northern areas of Gyeongbuk province. Thus, this study was conducted to examine the rate of parasite infection from the fecal samples of goats raised on grass. From March to July in 2008, 108 fecal samples were taken from goats. Eggs of parasites were identified using flotation or sedimentation methods followed by microscopic examination. Overall infection rate of parasites from feces of goats were 99% (107 out of 108). The infection rates of nematode, cestode, trematode and protozoa were 37%, 23%, 0% and 99%, respectively. Among parasite eggs detected, nematodes included threadworms (20%), strongyles (16%) and whipworms (1%). The only cestode and protozoa detected were Moniezia expansa and Eimeria spp, respectively. In the rates of mixed infection, single was 61%, double 32%, and triple 6%.
Bovine viral diarrhea virus (BVDV) is an important worldwide disease in the livestock industry. To characterize BVDV circulating in Gyeongbuk province in the Republic of Korea which has the highest cattle population density, 365 rectal swabs from clinically BVDV Korean indigenous calves were collected. Fifty cases were identified as positive for BVDV. A phylogenetic analysis of 5'- untranslated regions (UTR) revealed that most of our cases belonged to BVDV-2a (n = 48), while only two cases were classified as BVDV-1a (n = 1) and 1b (n = 1), respectively. These results indicated that BVDV-2a is the most prevalent subgroup in Korean indigenous calves of Gyeongbuk province.
Early photography history of Daegu, Gyeongbuk Province, Gyebok Choi were taken a lots of prizes of famous contest and known to the nationwide in 1930's and then his photos became an example of salon photography. And his documents of Mt. Baekdu & Dokdo in 1940's was the outcome of self-consciousness. Wangsam Koo proposed the realism of the photo. This study was carried out to observe the quality of commercial brand rices collected from Gyeongbuk Province, Korea in 2006-2007. Rice quality was analyzed as a mixed ratio with other varieties by DNA analysis, physicochemical and appearance characteristics among 26 commercial brand rices. In protein contents of rice grain, 12 brand rices were lower than 6.5%, 6 brand rices were ranged 6.6-7.0%, and others were higher than 7%. In head rice rates, 2 brand rices were higher than 95%, 4 brand rices were ranged 90-94%, and other brand rices were lower than 90%. In distribution of the mixed ratio with other varieties, 12 commercial brand rices were ranged 1- 10%, 9 commercial brand rices were ranged 11-20%, and 5 brand rices were lower than 20% of mixed ratio.

Diversification to develop oak pruned neck utilization technology reduction of operation cost of cheonma(Gastrodia elata) farmers is the purpose of this research, but the results of the experiment are as follows. The soil chemistry of the plantation was very weak in 2015 when the pH was 5.7, weakly acidic and EC was 0.41 (ds/m), but the faux spring area was very sunny, but at the end of May, early June, late July And so on were at a maximum temperature of $25^{\circ}C$ or more, and underground temperature fell below freezing in late January 2016. In the content of the survey of the harvested volume, treatment with a diameter of 6 to 10 cm appeared in 1,366 g total weight and in treated plots with a diameter of 20 cm or more, appeared in 1,542 g, confirming that the number and weight of the interspaces from the small neck is higher than the practice.

Timing, place, and the high-tech industry to overcome barriers to the introduct of the so-called "smart agriculture". The core factors of precision agriculture, including temperature, humidity, location information, and real summary information, are all significant for ICT controlling technique. The system is a four-season container allowing mushroom product, humidity, illumination, and factors such as carbon dioxide were regulated to create the optimal environment for mushroom cultivation. Hericium erinaceum (also called Lion's Mane Mushroom, Bearded Tooth Mushroom, or Bearded Tooth Fungus) is an edible and medicinal mushroom in the tooth fungus group. During approximately 40 days of incubation, 1.4 kg of oak sawdust was used as the test medium. The humidity, temperature, and $CO_2$ density were maintained at >85-95%, $18-20^{\circ}C$, and 700-1,000 ppm, respectively, in the container type culture system. The time for primordium formation was observed to be 4-7 days. The amount of fruitbody production was 74-95 g per bag. This technique will be used to establish a new community support program, in conjunction with international movement, domestic sales and exports are also planned.
This study explores the status, characteristics and problems of urban-to-rural migration policy in Gyeongbuk Province, and suggests some improvements based on this analysis. Gyeongbuk Province enacted local ordinances related to urban-to-rural migration for the first time in Korea, and has expanded the area of its own projects in addition to the central government's support projects. Consequently, the degree of satisfaction for the support projects in Gyeongbuk Province is higher than in other provinces. Problems of the support projects for urban-to-rural migration are the lack of role sharing between central and lower level local government, and the lack of connectivity among the relevant departments; the non-reflection of regional characteristics and attributes of urban-to-rural migrants (household); and the insufficient satisfaction of policy demands by non-agricultural urban-to-rural migrants. Improvements for these problems include establishing governance that involves urban-to-rural migrants in addition to the existing policy actors, and institutionalizing the project to properly embed this governance in the region. In addition to economic and physical support, diverse programs based on the adaptive cycle, 'non-agricultural rural jobs' for nonagricultural urban-to-rural migrants, and support programs for professional competency enhancement contributing to rural communities should be developed.
