불규칙적인 격자망을 이용한 생체 연조직의 곡면변형률 측정 (Measurement of Surface Strain on Soft Biological Tissues Using Irregular Grid Pattern)

  • 본 연구에서는 광학적 방법으로 곡면변형률을 측정하고자 할 때, 소재 표면이 임의의 곡면이거나 요철이 많은 경우, 부식이나 오염으로 표면이 불량한 경우, 그리고 고무나 폼, 생체 조직 등과 같이 규칙적인 격자망을 인쇄하기 어려운 경우에도 적용할 수 있는 자동 곡면변형률 측정시스템 'ASIAS-bio'를 개발하였다. 이 시스템은 시편의 재질과 표면상태, 격자 패턴과 크기, 격자 마킹 방법, 변형 정도 등 측정 조건에 관계없이 사용이 가능한 것이 특징이다. 우선 그 신뢰성을 평가하기 위하여 금속판재 성형제품의 변형률 분포를 상용 장비로 측정한 결과와 비교하였다. 또한, 돼지 어깨 관절막, 인체 무릎 피부 등 연질 생체 조직의 변형 측정에 적용함으로써 본 시스템의 유용성을 확인하였다.

Determining 3D-shape of specular objects by using an encoded grid pattern light source

  • This paper describes a new method to determine the 3D-shape of objects consisting of specular planar surfaces. This method exploits a light source which is made of a diffuse plane with a grid pattern encoded in an M-sequence and uses a single image of the light source reflected by the objects to acquiring orientations and positions of the surfaces of the objects. When grid lines of the light source are reflected by a specular planar surface and perspectively projected on an image plane, a set of lines vanishing at a point are obtained on the image plane. The orientation of the specular planar surface is determined by using the vanishing point, and the position is determined by using the correspondence between lines on the image and lines on the light source, which is obtained by employing a characteristic regularity of the M-sequence. Before the vanishing points are calculated, the lines on the image are classified and correlated with the surfaces of objects by using slopes and positions of the lines and the regularity of the M-sequence. This method requires only a single image.

  • 그리드 사용자에게 시간과 장소에 상관없이 그리드 서비스를 이용할 수 있게 해주는 기술이 모바일 그리드이다. 이동환경에서 그리드 서비스를 제공하기 위해서는 단말기 배터리의 성능 및 이동성의 고려 등 여러 가지 제약사항이 따르며, 유선망에서의 그리드 기술을 이동 환경에 적용하기에는 많은 어려움이 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 모바일 그리드 서비스를 제공하기 위한 모바일 그리드 구조를 Ad-hoc 네트워크를 이용하여 설계를 하였으며, NS-2(Network Simulator)를 이용한 시뮬레이션을 통한 세 가지 방법의 라우팅 프로토콜의 지연시간에 대한 측정 및 이동 단말기 배터리의 성능을 고려한 비교를 통해, hybrid 방식의 라우팅 프로토콜이 효율적임을 제시하였다. 향후 모바일 그리드 서비스를 제공하기 위한 자원 할당 및 신뢰성 확보 방안에 대한 연구를 수행할 예정이다.

Visual Inspection of Tube Internal

  • Pipe inspection has a great importance to ensure safety for the nuclear power plant. In this paper, we designed visual inspection module for the tube internal, which diameter is 15${\sim}$20mm. And we made inspection module which consisted of CCD camera and light. And the relation between image and real world coordinate is established. Image processing is performed to calculate mapping parameter and analyze the size of defect. For the calculation of mapping parameter, experiment is performed using grid type test pattern. Acquired image is processed to extract image coordinate. Edge detection, thresholding, median filtering and morphology filtering is applied to extract grid pattern. Extracted image coordinate is used to calculate image to real world mapping. Lens distortion was considered and corrected to get exact data. Coordinate transformation data is provided for the users to recognize easily. Experiment was performed using grid type test pattern, we extracted lens distortion parameter and real coordinate of defect point. Radial distortion of lens was corrected but tangential distortion was not considered. As continuum to this study, the tangential distortion of lens is considered and improvement of analy zing technique for the tube internal be explored continuously.

지형분할 격자크기에 따른 토석류 흐름 특성 (Characterization of Debris Flow at Various Topographical Division Sizes)

  • 토석류가 발생할 때는 강우패턴, 강우강도 및 해석을 위한 지형여건에 따라 토석류의 발생량과 흐름의 속도가 달라진다. 지형여건의 고려는 일정규모의 격자로 지형을 구분하고 구분된 격자 내의 지형경사는 평균경사로 가정하여 계산하므로 굴곡이 심한 지형에서는 분할되는 격자를 세분할수록 실제와 근접한 결과를 얻을 수 있게 된다. 그러나 지금까지는 해석알고리즘 및 컴퓨터 계산능력, 해석수행 시간 등의 한계로 인해 지형분할 격자를 상당히 크게 구분하여 수행하고 있다. 그러나 토석류 해석의 정확도를 위해서는 지형구분 격자크기를 가급적 작게 하여야 하므로, 실무적 접근을 위한 적절한 격자규모의 제안이 필요하게 된다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 기존 연구에서 논의되었던 누가 강우량, 강우강도, 강우지속시간 및 선행 강우량 등의 강우 특성 이외에 지형분할 격자크기가 토석류 흐름에 미치는 영향을 평가하고 이로부터 합리적이고 현실성 있는 지형분할규모를 제시하였다.

제조공법에 따른 디스플레이 소자용 silver-grid 투명전극층의 특성 비교 (Comparison of characteristics of silver-grid transparent conductive electrodes for display devices according to fabrication method)

  • 고밀도 플라즈마 식각 및 lift-off 두 가지 공정으로 honeycomb 형상의 Ag-grid 투명전극층을 제작하였고 제조 공법에 따른 광학적 및 전기적 특성을 비교하였다. 플라즈마 식각 조건 선정을 위하여 Ag 박막의 $10CF_4/5Ar$ 유도결합 플라즈마 식각특성을 조사하였다. 비교적 낮은 ICP source power 또는 rf chuck power 영역에서는 power 증가에 따라 Ag 식각속도가 증가하였고, 높은 power 조건에서는 $Ar^+$ 이온 에너지 감소 또는 $Ar^+$ 이온에 의한 F radical 제거로 인해 식각속도가 감소하였다. $10CF_4/5Ar$ 플라즈마 식각 공정에 의해 제작된 Ag-grid 전극층은 lift-off 공정으로 제작된 전극층에 비해 grid 패턴 형상의 왜곡이나 단절이 없는 더 우수한 grid 패턴 전사 효율과 가시광선 영역에서 더 높은 83.3 %(pixel 크기 $30{\mu}m$/선폭 $5{\mu}m$)와 71 %(pixel 크기 $26{\mu}m$/선폭 $8{\mu}m$)의 광투과율을 각각 나타내었다. 반면에 lift-off 공정으로 제작된 Ag-grid 전극층은 플라즈마 식각 공정 시편보다 더 우수한 $2.163{\Omega}/{\square}$(pixel 크기 $26{\mu}m$/선폭 $8{\mu}m$)과 $4.932{\Omega}/{\square}$(pixel 크기 $30{\mu}m$/선폭 $5{\mu}m$)의 면저항 특성을 나타내었다.

Robust Extraction of Lean Tissue Contour From Beef Cut Surface Image

  • A hybrid image processing system which automatically distinguished lean tissues in the image of a complex beef cut surface and generated the lean tissue contour has been developed. Because of the in homegeneous distribution and fuzzy pattern of fat and lean tissue on the beef cut, conventional image segmentation and contour generation algorithm suffer from a heavy computing requirement, algorithm complexity and poor robustness. The proposed system utilizes an artificial neural network enhance the robustness of processing. The system is composed of pre-network , network and post-network processing stages. At the pre-network stage, gray level images of beef cuts were segmented and resized to be adequate to the network input. Features such as fat and bone were enhanced and the enhanced input image was converted tot he grid pattern image, whose grid was formed as 4 X4 pixel size. at the network stage, the normalized gray value of each grid image was taken as the network input. Th pre-trained network generated the grid image output of the isolated lean tissue. A training scheme of the network and the separating performance were presented and analyzed. The developed hybrid system showed the feasibility of the human like robust object segmentation and contour generation for the complex , fuzzy and irregular image.

  • In 1997, Dr. James Chien-Min Sung patented the technology of making diamond tools according to a predetermined pattern. The optimization of this pattern may double the tool life and the cutting speed. In 1998, Sung also made $DiaGrid^{(R)}$ saw segments that showed superior performance in cutting granite and marble. In 2000, Sung visited Shinhan and introduced them this revolutionary concept of diamond saw segments. In 2005, Shinhan adapted the idea and produced saw segments with diamond grits set in a predetermined pattern, their results confirmed that the sawing speed and the sawing life were both improved over conventional designs.

Regular pattern design using tartan proportions and grid manipulations

  • Tartan, the woven, checked, and wool textile considered by many to be originally from Scotland, has in fact been in use in a range of forms across numerous cultures and during various historical periods. The characteristic checked feature is due to the assembly of different coloured threads in both warp and weft directions which intersect at 90 degrees in a combination known as a sett. For well over one hundred years, different setts and thus different colour combinations have been associated closely with different geographical regions within Scotland, as well as different clans or families. Tartan-type textiles have reached popularity at various times and those have often been a predicted fashion trend suggested, for example, by contributors to fashion gatherings such as Premier Vision in Paris. Often proposed designs are best considered based on tartan combinations rather than simple reproductions. Promotional terms such as "patched checks" or "textured checks" have been common, and often these have been derived from tartan-type constructions. This paper explores novel pattern design methods by identifying the underlying grid structures and proportions exhibited by various well-known tartan setts. The possibility of pattern development from tartan grids and their manipulations is thus the focus of attention. An insight into the methodology associated with the production of original pattern designs is thus provided.

다중 배열 니들 코팅을 이용한 LED 스크린용 Anti-Moiré 필터 제작 (Fabrication of Anti-Moiré Filter Using Multi-Array Needle Coating for LED Screens)

  • Using a multi-array needle module developed for coating of high-density cylindrical microlens array (C-MLA), we have fabricated an anti-Moiré filter for LED screens. The Moiré phenomenon appears due to the interference between the array pattern of image sensors in a camera and the non-emission area (grid pattern) of a LED screen. To suppress it, we have employed poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) and coated it on a glass substrate in the form of a grid and non-grid (parallel lines). We have rotated the needle module in order to increase the number of C-MLAs. With this scheme, we have fabricated the 150 mm × 150 mm anti-Moiré filters where 836 microlens lines are formed. They show the average width of 255.4 ㎛, the average distance between CMLs of 94.6 ㎛, and C-MLA width non-uniformity of 4.7%. We have shown that the Moiré patterns still appear in the presence of the parallel (non-grid)-type filter, whereas they disappeared completely by the grid-type filter. It is due to the fact that the Moiré patterns are diffused more effectively by the grid-type C-MLA.
