  • The existing evaluation of root barrier resistance takes at least two years as an evaluation based on plant growth, and it is difficult to determine early performance in the process of quality control in the field. In this study, thus, the direction of the root barrier resistance evaluation system was presented by considering the construction specifications and design standards for root barrier design. As a result, it was necessary to establish a test method for reproducing simple and consistent test results for evaluating the durability of root barrier materials.

  • The design method of a four-port stripline circulator with a single ferrite disk is proposed using Green's function method. The four-port circulator gives the flexibility of the design of the communication system. Two cascaded three-port circulators has been used as a four-port circulator. However, if a four-port circulator with a single ferrite disk replace the present four-port circulator, then it will give less weight and volume and so has the advantage in satellite application.

In this study, focusing on school facilities to suggest an alternative improve green building certification standards through data analysis and conduct an expert Delphi survey. In this study, evaluation of the existing areas of green building certification 7-5 suggest that one out. There are five proposed areas of ecology, health, function, energy and resources. Further it can add areas of economics and $LCCO_2$. Through the assessment items of foreign certification standards evaluated to the feasibility of introducing in Korea. Furthermore taking into account the characteristics of each class, kindergarten, elementary, primary, middle and high schools, College or University were broken down by purpose.

  • Environmental problems caused by rapid industrialization and environmental issues have emerged worldwide. The Green Building Certification Policy has been introduced. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the environment-friendly planning factors in Environment-friendly Housing Certification. Six multi-family housing in Environment-friendly Housing Certification have been analyzed. The findings of this study are as follows. While outdoor planning factor is focused on building arrangement and ecological environment, its application in building material and environment plan is inadequate. In ecological environment, various green planting systems such as green zone and plant inhabitation area are utilized.

  • The precast concrete column-beam structure, Green Frame, allows the main structural members such as precast concrete column and beam to be produced on the site, resulting in a reduction of transportation cost and the margin of plant. However, existing plywood from for in-situ production of precast concrete members has problems like putting in inordinate human resource, falling-off in quality and workability. To solve those problems, form system for in-situ production of precast concrete members shall be developed. In this regard, this study aims to analyze the structural concept of from system for in-situ production. The result of this study will use for development of form system for in-situ production.

  • The purpose of this work was to investigate the design and fabrication process effects on electrical properties in high capacitance multilayer ceramic capacitor (MLCC) with nickel electrode. Dielectric breakdown voltage and insulation resistance value were decreased with increasing stack layer number, but dielectric constant and capacitance were increased. With increasing green sheet thickness, dielectric breakdown voltage, C-V and I-V properties were also increased. The major reasons of the effects were thought to be the defects generated extrinsically during fabrication process and interfacial reactions formed between nickel electrode and dielectric layer. These investigations clearly showed the influence of both green sheet thick ness and stack layer number on the electrical properties in fabricating the MLCC.

  • Seakeeping analysis has progressed from the linear frequency-domain 2D strip method to the nonlinear timedomain 3D panel method. Nevertheless, the violent free surface flows such as slamming and green water on deck are beyond the scope of traditional panel methods based on potential theory. Recently, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) has become an attractive numerical tool that can effectively deal with the violent free surface flows. ABS, as a classification society, is putting forth a significant amount of effort to implement the CFD technology to the advanced strength assessment of modern commercial ships and high-speed naval craft. The main objective of this study is to validate the CFD technology as a seakeeping tool for ship design considering fully nonlinear three-dimensional slamming and green water on deck. The structural loads on a large container carrier were successfully calculated from the CFD analysis and validated with segmented model test measurements.

  • The purpose of this study is to survey colors of background, marker, and pointer being used in passenger car's display panel, and to suggest ergonomic design guidelines of car's display panel to enhance driver's visibility. An experiment was conducted, in which reading time of display was measured as dependent variable, and colors of black, white, blue and green were selected as background colors of display, and black, white, yellow, and green as marker's colors, and black white, yellow, green and red as pointer's colors. The results showed that reading time of display with white background, yellow marker and pointer was shortest. It was expected that this results could be used as valuable design guidelines in car's display panel.

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest a model of planning of urban on focused Seonhwan-up in Chongan-city. The subject matter of this paper is urban design of small town which has factors of ecological conditions in rural area. We can check ecological design factors of this city through green and water space, first of all. If they are produced by biotope network, this city in the nature is to create eco-city which has symbiosis between human and a creature.

  • Purpose The purpose of this study is to design a regional electricity planning model rather than the existing single region ones and verify its usefulness. The regional electricity planning model is to determine both electricity distribution among regions and power plant planning at the same time satisfying regional demands and distribution networks. Design/methodology/approach This study made a regional electricity planning model by integrating power plant planning and electricity distribution among regions. The regional electricity planning model is formulated into a linear programming problem, and coded and run using the OSeMOSYS, one of open source energy systems. Findings According to the empirical analysis result, this study confirmed that the regional electricity planning model proposed in this study deducts the unfairness among regions in view of electricity and green house gas. In addition, the model is expected to be used in evaluating and developing the national policies concerning fine dust and/or green house gas.
