This study is performed to improve the elevation design of schools by the tools of color. Color is a very powerful design tool, one that is capable of altering the perception of a building or a space. The present form and material of elevations of schools are very monotonous and uniform. Therefore students do not have attachment for schools. And also in neighborhood, schools do not function as a good landmark. This study aims to develop good sample of exterior color design for schools and verify the guideline of color design for schools which was went ahead of this study. Through the survey of color preference and color image preference of the students of Seoul High School, the attitude of students to color were considered in design. The exterior color design for Seoul High School was realized. The result of this study suggests that the exterior color design can improve the image and plasticity of present schools. But within the monotonous character of present elevation, the effect of color design will be limited. Therefore to make a effective project, exterior color design should be accompanied with the alteration of elevation to make a plastic element of elevation.

The costume in musical is an important visual factor that contributes to the level of stage completion by for the character and overall atmosphere of the whole play. Besides, as if it is has a fixed times in the drama, it has to produce to consider an opinion of producer to express the theme, atmosphere of a play and especially in the period adventure drama, to revive as it is historical dress, there is not creation at stage of today. This research is studied into the stage costume of the musical 'Jekyll and Hyde' an adapted to express image of good and evil in the one character. For this research, it researched costume of Victoria period in England, study character of main actor by analysis of the play in an original work, examine the stage costume of the musical 'Jekyll and Hyde' performed in the inside and outside of the country. In the musical stage costume, by character difficult of stage costume, factor of design feature divided to good and evil and compare feature design of stage costume, research new design express method to consider musical acting, moreover through designing and producing the costume to be suitable for the content of the work. This research consists of research and actual production of work, study of documentary records, collection and analysis of overseas performances, news releases, video material and internet research were the methods of this study.

Studies on the control of inverted pendulum type systems have been widely reported. This is because this type of system is a typical complex nonlinear system and may be a good model to verify the performance of a proposed control system. In this paper, we propose the design of two fuzzy logic control systems for the control of a Segway mobile robot which is an inverted pendulum type system. We first introduce a dynamic model of the Segway mobile robot and then analyze the system. We then propose the design of the fuzzy logic control system, which shows good performance for the control of any nonlinear system. In this paper, we here design two fuzzy logic control systems for the position and balance control of the Segway mobile robot. We demonstrate their usefulness through simulation examples. We also note the possibility of simplifying the design process and reducing the computational complexity. This possibility is the result of the skew symmetric property of the fuzzy rule tables of the system.

The Outdoor space is an essential element among healing environments for older people. The purpose of this study is to identify outdoor design issues which can improve the health conditions of the elderly living in nursing home. At first, the design principles of outdoor space for the mentally ill have been collected from the literature survey. Secondary, outdoor design requirements for the care program in nursing homes have been explored. Thirdly, good design elements have been collected from 6 nursing homes which have good outdoor space. Finally, Basic design principles of outdoor space of nursing homes in which older people with dementia live have been proposed by analysis and synthesis on the three stages before. As a result of this study, 6 dimensions in architectural planning of outdoor space for nursing homes have been presented : safety environment, various sensual stimulation, social interactions, support physical ability, accessibility, meditation.

Human desire is required to be changed variously as time flows. A theme park which is planned to male a good memory including a variety of story, drama, and experience with one of themes is increasingly and currently broaden to be a good economic value of cultural tourism for the local autonomy institution or individual business. The plan for a theme park should be developed to give the tourist satisfaction at studious and ecology educational needs in conformity with our country's distinctive four seasons, its surrounding environment, facilities, and its contents. This design which is called 'Bear theme park' has only one theme focused on a combined effort with a landscape designer and a sculptor. It is estimated that the park must be our country's unique model of a theme park The purpose of this study is to request the designer's direct construction to participate in it by themselves, to solve any problems on the design side, to experience the real construction procedure, and to take the designer's techniques, and skills as soon as the design completed.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the modern meanings and attitudes of the motives shown in the traditional houses. Research methods to achieve this purpose are review of literature and the Questionnaire survey. The major results of this study are as follows; First, The interpretation of the modern meanings of the traditional motives were mainly affected by 'the forms and shapes of the motives rather than 'the meanings and symbols of the motives'. Second, many people felt friendly, preferable to use the motives in modern design, decorative and good-meaningful about the motives. Through this results related to the attitudes of the motives, each motive should be developed by new design and needed the modification.; Especially, 'flower-shape', '亞-shape', '正-shape', '喜-shape'were good motives to use in modem exterior and interior design.

Non-emissive LCDs need a backlight, and have difficulty implementing wide viewing angles due to differences in phase retardation depending on the behavior of the liquid crystals. Although wide viewing angles are good characteristics for devices such as TVs, they are not good for mobile devices. In this paper, we propose ways to design diffusers with ELC lenses to achieve wide and narrow viewing angles depending on the circumstances. A study was conducted on optimizing the design of a liquid lens diffuser with the same light as that for an OLED, by extracting design factors that affect the performance of the diffuser and applying the Taguchi method to them.

The purpose of this study was to develop the measurement of fashion sensibility and to verify the validity and utility. The survey has been done 91 photos selected in fashion magazines with 25 semantic differential hi-polar scale. The obtained data were analyzed by MDS, Discriminant analysis and Regression analysis. The major findings of this research were as follows. 1. According to the sensibility positioning, fashion image was classified by 4 group and agreed with constructing factors of fashion. 2. As result of the discrimination analysis, distinguishable fashion sensibility among design elements of clothing was related to refined, pleasant, feel like buying sensibility. 3. As result of the regression analysis, Preference was related to looking good, refined, and sweet, Buying needs related to likable, looking good and natural, Riches related to elegant, neat and refined, Pleasure related to looking good, elegant and bright. 4. The fashion design properties were different regarding Preference, Buying needs. Riches and Pleasure. Preference and Buying needs were related to H-line, similarity color combination, cotton and linen, Riches related to brilliance texture, ruffle and flounces, Pleasure related to fit and sexy design of clothing.

When a certain particular department store is chosen by customers due to the good image, the department store will have provided for the conditions that it can precede in competition with other department stores. Based upon it, a survey was made of preference for the department store interior design image component. In order to make the department store image better based upon this study results, the designer should remember that department store is possessed of display and circultation planinorder to give consume the good image. And , as a result of analyzing customers' preference for the details of the interior design image component, the area, primary components of the department store space, should take on specialization , though narrow. The circulation should constitute the free flow system. The ornamental illumination should be emphasized for the secondary component of the department store space. The color planing should be made that is oriented to seasonality and products. The floor should finished with wood. The department store interior should be decorated in a modern and simple form. The display of the department store should be made in a fashion that it takes on seasonality and artistry. These measures can be said to be the desirable method to provide a good image for women customers paying a visit to the department store.

It is hard to keep good quality of coursewares for Computer-Assisted Instruction (CAI), since most CAI coursewares have been developed by programmers rather than by instruction designers. Also, there is no trasplantations among authoring system. This paper describes the design and implementation of an authoring system for CAI to overcome the problems mentioned above. The performance of the system is assured experimentally and then good results are shown compared with other systems.
