  • 초전도체를 초고주파 소자에 응용하려고 할 경우, 초전도 전자기학의 불확실함이나 초전도 기판의 돈도 의존성은 산업 응용을 위한 안테나를 제작하는데 있어 어려움을 준다. 따라서 실제 응용을 위해서는 일반 안테나와 비교하여 정확하고 자세한 특성이 알려져야만 한다. 본 논문에서는 금 안테나와 초전도 안테나의 비교 연구를 수행하였으며 반사 손실, 특성임피던스, 효율 및 다른 다양한 특성들을 보고하였다. 본 연구에 사용된 고온초전도 박막은 $YBa_2Cu_3O_{7-x}$ (YBCO)/MgO 이며 초전도 안테나는 마이크로스트립 급전선을 방사 패치의 50 ${\Omega}$ 영역에 결합시키는 형태로 만들어졌다. 금 안테나와 초전도 안테나의 측정 결과는 이러한 구조를 이용하여 유용한 안테나가 제작될 수 있음을 보여주었다.

나노형상을 가진 표면플라즈몬공명 센서칩의 감도 개선 효과 (Effect of SPR Chip with Nano-structured Surface on Sensitivity in SPR Sensor)

  • 표면 플라즈몬 공명을 이용한 센서는 굴절계 기기의 일종으로서 높은 감도를 가질 뿐만 아니라 비표지 방식이라는 장점을 가지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 재래식 SPR 칩을 이용하여 시판 술 4종의 알코올 함량을 측정하였다. 또한, 재래식 SPR 칩의 감도를 개선하기 위하여 금 박막 위에 금으로 나노형상을 구축하여 나노형상 SPR 칩을 제조하여 모형 술에 대한 감도 개선 효과를 분석하였다. 재래식 SPR 칩을 이용하여 시판 술의 알코올 함량을 측정하기 위한 검량선을 개발하였을 때 시료를 전처리 하지 않고 그대로 측정하였을 때 가장 좋은 검량선을 얻을 수 있었다. 소주, 청주, 이과두주, 탁주 등 시판 술 4종에 대한 1차 회귀식의 검량식에서 결정계수는 각각 0.992, 0.933, 0.918, 그리고 0.984로 나타났다. 한편, 재래식 SPR 칩의 감도를 개선하기 위해 나노형상 SPR 칩을 제조하기 위하여 Langmuir-Blodgett(LB) 방법을 활용하였다. 본 연구에서는 수십 nm 두께의 금 박막을 바닥층으로 하여 그 위에 나노 크기의 실리카 입자를 단분자 층으로 덮어 형틀을 제조하고 다시 그 위에 금을 증착한 후 실리카 입자를 제거하는 방법으로 나노형상을 갖는 SPR 칩을 제조하였다. 나노형상 SPR 칩의 성능을 평가하였을 때 20% 알코올 함량을 가지는 모형 술에 대해서 바닥층의 두께가 50 nm, 나노형상에서 골의 깊이가 20 nm, 나노형상의 배열주기가 300 nm일 때 SPR의 감도가 가장 좋아서 95%의 감도 향상을 얻을 수 있었다. SPR의 감도는 칩과 관련된 인자, 시료의 종류 및 상태에 따라 다르게 나타날 수 있으므로 측정 목적에 알맞은 칩의 설계와 선택이 요구된다.

반응성 RF 마그네트론 스퍼터링에 의한 TiNx 상온 성막에 있어서 기판 상의 펄스상 직류 바이어스 인가 효과 (Pulsed DC Bias Effects on Substrate in TiNx Thin Film Deposition by Reactive RF Magnetron Sputtering at Room Temperature)

  • Titanium nitride(TiN) thin films have been deposited on PEN(Polyethylene naphthalate) substrate by reactive RF(13.56 MHz) magnetron sputtering in a 25% N2/Ar mixed gas atmosphere. The pulsed DC bias voltage of -50V on substrates was applied with a frequency of 350 kHz, and duty ratio of 40%(1.1 ㎲). The effects of pulsed DC substrate bias voltage on the crystallinity, color, electrical properties of TiNx films have been investigated using XRD, SEM, XPS and measurement of the electrical properties such as electrical conductivity, carrier concentration, mobility. The deposition rates of TiNx films was decreased with application of the pulsed DC substrate bias voltage. The TiNx films deposited without and with pulsed bias of -50V to substrate exhibits gray and gold colors, respectively. XPS depth profiling revealed that the introduction of the substrate bias voltage resulted in decreasing oxygen concentration in TiNx films, and increasing the electrical conductivities, carrier concentration, and mobility to about 10 times, 5 times, and 2 times degree, respectively.

  • In this work the electrical characteristics of organic TFTs with the semiconductor-insulator interfaces have been interested. Pentacene is used as an active semiconducting layer. The semiconductor layer of pentacene was thermally evaporated in vacuum at a pressure of about $2{\times}10^{-6}$ Torr and at a deposition rate of 0.3$\AA$/sec. Aluminium and gold were used for gate and source/drain electrodes. before pentacene is deposited on the insulator, the gate dielectric surfaces of two samples were rubbed with lateral and perpendicular to direction of the channel length respectively.

박막공진 여파기에 대한 기판위에서의 튜닝 (On-wafer Tuning of the TFBAR Ladder Filters)

  • In this paper, Thin film bulk acoustic resonate.(TFBAR) fillers tuned by gold plated on-wafer inductors are presented. The air-gap type TEBAR is used with aluminum nitride(AIN) as piezoelectric material and platinum as top and bottom electrodes. Inductor equivalent model and modified Butterworth-Van Dyke(MBVD) model are employed for the frequency tuning of fabricated TFBAR bandpass filters. Fabricated inductor has inductance of 3 nH and Q factor of about 8 at 2 ㎓. It is clearly revealed that inductor tuning can enhance the bandwidth of ladder filters and improve out-of-band rejection characteristic around 10㏈.

저항형 초전도 한류기에서의 위치에 따른 퀜치진행 변화 (Position dependence of quench progress in resistive superconducting fault current limiters)

  • We fabricated resistive superconducting fault current limiters based on $YBa_{2}Cu_{3}O_{7}$ thin films and investigated position dependence of quench progress. The $YBa_{2}Cu_{3}O_{7}$ film was coated insitu with a gold layer and patterned into 1 mm wide meander lines by photolithography. The limiters were tested with simulated fault currents. Quench progress depended significantly on the position in the limiter with respect to electrodes. The limiters quenched fastest at the part farthest from the electrodes. the limiters quenched fastest at the part farthest from the electrodes and slowest next to the electrodes. This phenomenon was more prominent near the minimum quench current. At high fault current the quench started simultaneously on all parts of the limiters and the subsequent progress of quench depended only weakly on the position. The heat transfer from limiter meander lines to electrodes explains these results.

  • In this work the electrical characteristics of organic TFTs using organic insulator and flexible polyester substrate have been investigated. Pentacene and PVP(polyvinylphenol) are used as an active semiconducting layer and dielectric layer respectively. Pentacene was thermally evaporated in vacuum at a pressure of about $1{\times}10^{-6}$ Torr and at a deposition rate of $0.5{\AA}$/sec, and PVP was spin-coated. Aluminium and gold were used for gate and source/drain electrodes. 0.1mm thick flexible polyester substrate was used instead of glass or silicon wafer.

  • ZnO nanowlres (NWs) were fabricated using Au as catalyst for a method combining laser ablation cluster formation and vapor-liquid-solid (VLS) growth. The target used in synthesis was pure ZnO ceramics. Two different substrates were used; (0001)-oriented sapphires and Au-coated sapphires. The Au thin film was deposited by thermal evaporation and the thickness was about 50 ${\AA}$. ZnO NWs were only formed in case of that used catalyst metal. Field effect scanning electron microscopic (FESEM) investigation showed that the average diameter of ZnO NWs was about 70 nm and the typical lengths varied from $3{\sim}4{\mu}m$.

  • ″H″ type resonator has the advantage for the miniaturization of high-T7 superconducting (HTS) microstrip antenna in comparison with the conventional microstrip antenna such as rectangular type or circular type. In this paper we designed miniaturized HTS antennas using this "H"-type resonator and reported the characteristics of our antennas including return loss, bandwidth, radiation patterns, efficiency and so on. To fabricate the "H" type antenna, HTS YBa$_2$Cu$_3$$O_{7-x}$ (YBCO) thin films were deposited on MgO substrates using rf-magnetron sputtering. For comparison between normal conducting antennas and superconducting antennas, the gold antennas with the same dimension were also fabricated. An aperture coupling was used for impedance matching between 50 $\Omega$ feed line and HTS radiating patch. The ″H" type superconducting antenna showed the performance of 1.38 in SWR, 26 % in efficiency, and 13.8 dB in the return loss superior to the normal conducting counterpart.

  • A micromachined self-exited piezoelectric cantilever has been fabricated using PZT(52/48) thin film. For the application to biosensor using antigen-antibody interaction, electromechanical properties such as resonant frequency and quality factor of micromachined piezoelectric cantilever were important factors. Electromechanical properties and resonant behaviors of microfabricated cantilever were simulated by FEA (Finite Element Analysis) using Coventorware$^{TM}$2003. And these characterization of microcantilever were measured by using LDV(Laser Doppler Vibrometer) to compare with FEA data. We present the resonant frequency shift of micromachined piezoelectric cantilevers due to combination of mass loading and change of spring constant by gold deposition. Experimental mass sensitivities of microcantilever were characterized by Au deposition on the backside of microcantilever. Mass sensitivities with $100{\times}300$ ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ dimension cantilever from simulation and experimental were 5.56 Hz/ng and 16.8 Hz/ng respectively.y.
