  • This study investigated the effects of corporate entrepreneurship awareness on organizational effectiveness using a case study of a domestic public institution-something that had not been done before. The main purpose of this study was to examine the correlation between corporate entrepreneurship and the personal entrepreneurship of each organization member. Specifically, we studied the effects of four aspects of corporate entrepreneurship-innovation, risk sensitivity, goal orientation, and autonomy-on the effectiveness of the organization with regard to personal entrepreneurship, defined by creativity, job satisfaction, and organizational commitment, in a public institution. We examined the mediating role of the facets of private entrepreneurship-innovation, risk sensitivity, and goal orientation-on the effectiveness of organizations. In addition, we examined the correlation between the recognition of an organization and individual innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship in domestic public institutions. We found that corporate entrepreneurship significantly influences organizational effectiveness. We also found that private entrepreneurship has partially influenced organizational effectiveness. This result indicates that specifically personal entrepreneurship in a public organization with a corporate structure contributes in part to organizational effectiveness. Therefore, the efforts made for disruptive innovation and the innovative strategies of corporates with personal entrepreneurship should be kept up for the long haul in order to influence the achievements of organizations in the public sector significantly. The need of the hour is for public institutions to disseminate and extend entrepreneurship at the national level. Furthermore, studies on corporate entrepreneurship in different fields in organizations in the public domain are needed.

  • Business transactional process is usually long running computation which requests services from multiple enterprises. Web Services Transaction specification (WS-TX) defines a protocol, WS-BusinessActivity which is specifically designed for such lengthy interaction and maintains overall consistency through compensation. However timely web services transaction is prone to compensate due to tasks' missing deadline. Therefore, this paper proposes a reservation-based protocol which is used to select providers who can provide resources promptly and deselect ones who may fail. And this selection happens during resource reservation phase and before real commitment. In this way, we achieve the goal of minimizing transactions' compensation. Finally, we design the framework architecture for the proposed protocol that is extended from WS-BusinessActivity.

Customers can actively seek out information about hotels and lodging services, as well as book rooms, at any time and from any location. Customers also feel more supported when they interact with virtual assistants or professionals. Recognizing this issue, several hotels have focused on improving their websites by incorporating aspects that encourage customers to book directly through the hotel's website. The study's goal is to discover what factors impact people's decisions to book a hotel stay through the hotel's website. Therefore, hotel managers and owners can make decisions to improve the hotel website to attract residents to Can Tho City. The factors are website quality, affective commitment, social presence, and e-trust that affect customers' decision to book through the hotel website. The study uses quantitative methods to collect data from 180 residents living in Can Tho. Through data analysis on SPSS and Amos software, the research results show that three factors considered, namely website quality, affective commitment, and social presence, positively influence customers' booking decisions. This finding also suggests that e-trust is less critical to residents in Can Tho City, different from what the study had predicted.
