  • Purpose: This study aims to analyze the diffusion pattern of the Mongolian mobile phone market. In particular, we used a generalized diffusion model to explore the factors affecting market potenial. Methods: We used three diffusion models to estimate the number of mobile subscribers in Mongolia. Based on the Logistic model with the best fitness, we introduced time-varying market potential and explored the influence of various independent variables such as GDP and inflation. Results: Among the basic diffusion models, the Logistic model was the best in terms of estimation performance and statistical significance. The estimation results of the Generalized Logistic model confirm that investment in the telecommunication sector has a significant positive effect on market potential. The estimation of the Generalized Logistic model effectively describes the continuous growth of the Mongolian telecommunications market until recently. Conclusion: We have analyzed the diffusion pattern of the Mongolian telecommunications market and found that the amount of investment in the sector leads to the growth of the market size. This study is original in terms of its subject - Mongolian telecommunications market and methodology - time-varying market potential.

  • In this study, gas permeation and separation characteristics of $CO_2$ and $N_2$ on nano-porous TPABr(Tetrapropylammoniumbromide) templating silica/alumina composite membrane were studied by using GMS (Generalized Maxwell Stefan) model. Since the transport mechanisms of meso-porous alumina support are Knudsen diffusion and viscous diffusion(or poiseulle flow), they can be identified by DGM (dusty gas model). The transport mechanism of TPABr templating silica layer, which would contribute mainly to the separation of $N_2/CO_2$ mixture, showed surface diffusion rather than pore diffusion. Therefore, the oermeationjseparation mechanisms in multi-component suface diffusion were successfully analyzed by the GMS model. In the separation of $N_2/CO_2$ mixture using the composite membrane, $CO_2$, the strongadsorbate, was permeated through the membrane more than Na due to the pore-blocking phenomena of $CO_2$ by adsorption isotherm and solace diffusion.

  • This paper studies the asymptotic behavior of the finite-time ruin probability in a jump-diffusion risk model with constant force of interest, upper tail asymptotically independent claims and a general counting arrival process. Particularly, if the claim inter-arrival times follow a certain dependence structure, the obtained result also covers the case of the infinite-time ruin probability.

  • In this work, a novel three-dimensional model in the generalized thermoelasticity for a homogeneous an isotropic medium was investigated with diffusion, under the effect of thermal loading due to laser pulse in the context of Green-Lindsay theory was investigated. The normal mode analysis technique is used to solve the resulting non-dimensional equations of the problem. Numerical results for the displacement, the thermal stress, the strain, the temperature, the mass concentration, and the chemical potential distributions are represented graphically to display the effect of the thermal loading due to laser pulse and the relaxation time on the resulting quantities. Comparisons are made within the theory in the presence and absence of laser pulse.

  • In this paper, the general formula of disparity estimation based on Bayesian Maximum A Posteriori (MAP) algorithm is derived and implemented with simplified probabilistic models. The probabilistic models are independence and similarity among the neighboring disparities in the configuration. The formula is the generalized probabilistic diffusion equation based on Bayesian model, and can be implemented into the some different forms corresponding to the probabilistic models in the disparity neighborhood system or configuration. And, we proposed new probabilistic models in order to simplify the joint probability distribution of disparities in the configuration. According to the experimental results, the proposed algorithm outperformed the other ones, such as sum of swuared difference(SSD) based algorithm and Scharstein's method. We canconclude that the derived formular generalizes the probabilistic diffusion based on Bayesian MAP algorithm for disparity estimation, and the propsoed probabilistic models are reasonable and approximate the pure joint probability distribution very well with decreasing the computations to 0.01% of the generalized formula.

  • Generalized Method of Moment(GMM) is a popular estimation method to estimate model parameters in empirical financial studies. GMM is frequently applied to estimate diffusion models that are basic techniques of modern financial engineering. However, recent research showed that GMM had poor properties to estimate the parameters that pertain to the diffusion coefficient in diffusion models. This research corrects the weakness of GMM and suggests alternatives to improve the statistical properties of GMM estimators. In this study, a simulation method is adopted to compare estimation methods. Out of compared alternatives, NGMM-Y, a version of improved GMM that adopts the NLL idea of Shoji and Ozaki (1998), showed the best properties. Especially NGMM-Y estimator is superior to other versions of GMM estimators for the estimation of diffusion coefficient parameters.

  • In this paper, a modified diffusion model integrated with the effects of rebate programs is developed. The greater part of motors is included to various systems such as pump systems, fan systems, ventilation systems, motor itself, and so on. Hence, the existing rebate program is not suitable for these systems and a generalized rebate model for these systems is necessary. In the pre-study, a new diffusion model for motor rebate Program was proposed and the adequacy of this model was evaluated in the case of Korea. This paper shows that the motor rebate model could be applied to the case of pumps.

  • The evaluation of MDx family hash functions such as MD5 is difficult because the design background or a generalized model is unknown. In this paper, an approximated model is proposed to generalize hash functions. The diffusion of a input difference is tested by an approximated model for MD5. The results show that MD5 does not provide perfect diffusion, so MD5 is weak against some attacks. We propose a multiple chaining pattern which provides perfect diffusion in approximated model of hash function without extra calculation or memory. And We show the probability of differential characteristics of our proposal.
