Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify factors influencing the Radiation Protection(RP) behaviors of endoscopy nurses during endoscopic interventional radiology. Methods: A total of 188 endoscopy nurses working at 30 tertiary or general hospitals participated in this questionnaire-based study. The questionnaire included items on general and job related characteristics, RP knowledge, RP attitude, RP behavior, self-efficacy, and safety climate. Data were collected through online surveys from March 22 to April 10, 2019. Results: Multivariate analysis revealed that RP attitude (β=.65, p<.001), safety climate (β=.12, p=.035), self-efficacy (β=.14, p=.009), and existence of RP protocols (β=.11, p=.038) were significant predictors of better RP behavior. Conclusion: The findings showed that the RP behavior of endoscopy nurses was at high levels and the continuing education for endoscopy nurses and development of a radiation safety management education program were important to improve RP behavior.

Purpose: This study was designed to identify the prediction factors that influence nurses' organizational commitment. Method: The sample of this study consisted of 526 full-time nurses randomly picked at 19 general hospitals in Korea. The data was analyzed by computer using SPSS 15.0 for Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis. Result: 1) According to general characteristics, nurses' organizational commitment levels among the sample were significantly different in age, religion, social status, marital status, clinical career, and department satisfaction. 2) Level of nurses' organizational commitment was average 2.70, job satisfaction 2.91, burnout 3.03, empowerment 3.36, autonomy 2.93, and self-efficacy 3.51. 3) Nurses' organizational commitment had significant positive correlations with job satisfaction, empowerment, self-regulation, social support, self-efficacy, clinical career, and personnel movement experience. On the other hand, it had significant negative correlations with occupational stress, burnout, and age. 4) The prediction factors which influence Nurses' organizational commitment were job satisfaction($\beta$=.405), burnout($\beta$=-.282), self-regulation($\beta$=.171), clinical career($\beta$=.135). These factors were approximately 49.6% reliable in explaining nurses' organizational commitment. Conclusion: These results can be used to develop hospitals' management strategies for increasing organizational commitment effectiveness and nursing productivity.
The cause of essential hypertension is yet unknown, but in general is caused by interaction of hereditary factors, diet, obesity, lack of exercise and stress. The aging process influences various physiological mechanism related to regulation of blood pressure. So elderly hypertensives have a tendancy to consider the disease as a result of the physiological aging process. This attitude causes many complications, worsening of the disease and even early death because of inappropriate care. In order to improve self-management of elderly hypertensives in this study the researcher examined the effect of blood pressure regulation by an education program that improves self-care behavior, through increasing self-efficacy. The education program consisted of group education on hypertension and self-care strategies, and encouraging and reinforcing self-efficacy resources such as verbal persuation, performance accomplishment and vicarious experiences. A quasi-experimental pre-and post-test design was used. Thirty-two elderly hypertensives participated in the study. Eighteen in the education group and fourteen in the control group. The education program consisted of eight sessions twice a week for four weeks. There was no intervention for the control group. Data were analysed using SPSS for Windows(Version 8.0). The results were as follows. 1. There was a significant decrease in systolic and diastolic blood pressure between the experimental group and control group over three different times, and interaction by groups and over time. 2. There was no significant difference in the level of self-care behavior between the experimental group and control group over three different times, and interaction by groups and over time. 3. There was significant difference in selfefficacy of experimental and control group, depending on the measuring period, but there was no difference between these groups on interaction by groups and over time. 4. There was positive correlation between self efficacy and self care behavior depending on the measuring period. There was negative correlation between diastolic blood pressure and self-care behavior on the posttest of the program, and between systolic blood pressure and self-care behavior on the follow-up test of the program. Findings indicate that this study will contribute to develop nursing strategies for the regulation of blood pressure for the elderly, which is easy for the elderly to learn as a nonpharmacologic approach.

Objective : This study is aimed to examine the degree of independence in stroke patients residing in a community based on their self-efficacy and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living and also correlation between community-residing stroke patients and their guardians by figuring out the life quality of their guardians. Methods : For total two weeks between May 12th and 23rd, 2014, this researcher collected data by using a survey (K-IADL, a scale to measure self-efficacy, WHOQOL-BREF) targeting 138 stroke patients who received over 24 points in MMSE-K among the outpatients of three hospitals located in Busan Metropolitan City and two hospitals located in Geoje-si, Gyeongsangnam-do, and total 125 sheets were finally used for analysis. Results : Among the 125 patients, 70 were males, and 55 were females, and their average age was 58.72 (16 to 82). The subjects' general self-efficacy (p<0.01) and detailed self-efficacy (p<0.01) indicated significant correlation with their guardian's life quality, and there was no significant correlation found between their Instrumental Activities of Daily Living and their guardian's life quality. Conclusion : Their general self-efficacy and detailed self-efficacy indicated correlation with their guardian's life quality, and among their general characteristics, the factor of their financial situation indicated correlation with their guardian's life quality. In conclusion, when stroke patients' self-efficacy is higher, their guardian's life quality increases, too, and if their financial situation is more favorable, their guardian's life quality gets higher. However, stroke patients' Instrumental Activities of Daily Living did not indicate correlation with their guardian's life quality. When looking at the chronic trend of outpatients, therapeutical plan must be established about the self-efficient recovery for the development of those who are not satisfied.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop and evaluate a self-management program based on INR monitoring for patients with cardiac valve replacement. Methods: This program was comprised of five weekly sessions based on Sousa's Enhance-Behavior Performance Model. The first session included individual teaching, and the other four sessions included Prothrombin Time International Normalized Ratios (PT INR) self-monitoring, telephone counseling and self-management checklist recording. Participants were patients who had cardiac valve replacement. They were randomly assigned to the experimental or control group. Sixteen in the experimental group participated in the self-management program and seventeen in the control group participated in general care. Self-management knowledge, self-efficacy, self-management behavior and PT INR were measured as dependent variables. Data were analyzed using Mann Whitney U-test, t-test and ANCOVA. Results: The experimental group showed significantly higher post-test scores in self-management knowledge (t=5.86, p<.001), self-efficacy (F=18.32, p<.001), and self-management behavior (t=3.44, p=.002) compared to the control group. Also, the experimental group showed significantly higher frequency in maintaining the treatment range of PT INR compared to the control group (${\chi}^2=4.80$, p=.028). Conclusion: The results of the research on the self-management program based on PT INR monitoring showed that it is effective in improving self-management knowledge, self-efficacy, and self-management behavior as well as maintaining treatment range of PT INR of patients with cardiac valve replacement.
The study analyzed convergent influence on occupational stress(KOSS-SF: Korean Occupational Stress Scale-Short Form) and its association with Organizational Justice(OJ), Self Esteem(RSE :Rosenberg Self-Esreem) and Self Efficacy(GSE: Generalized Self-Efficacy) among some regional General Hospital Administrative Staff(GHAS). The survey was administered to 221 staff from 11 general hospitals located in J city from Nov. 1st, 2016 to Jan. 31st, 2017, by structured self-administered questionaries. Occupational stress was negatively correlated with two sub-domains of OJ, RES and GSE. With the analysis of covariance structure, we identified the causal relationship of OJ, RES, GSE and occupational stress among GHAS. The study found the higher OJ, RES and GSE tend to decrease occupational stress. The results indicate that the efforts, to increase OJ, RSE and GSE, are required to decrease the occupational stress of GHAS. The results are expected to be useful for organization & HR management to decrease the occupational stress of GHAS. In the following study, the analysis about convergent additional factors of influence on occupational stress of GHAS will be needed.
The purpose of this study was to apprehend the relationship among self-resilience, critical thinking disposition and academic self-efficacy of nursing student and confirm the influential factors to self-leadership. This study was a descriptive investigation research that conducted data collection through structural survey targeting sophomores from nursing college. As the result, the most influential factor to self-leadership of nursing student was GPA (Grade point average) from last semester followed by critical thinking, necessity of self-leadership program and age, and these variables explained 28.4% of self-leadership of nursing students. Based on the results of this study, we recognize the necessity of self-leadership of nursing students and expect to develop self-leadership program considering general characteristics.
The purpose of this study is to verify whether there is a mediating effect of self-efficacy in the relationship between self-leadership and organizational commitment, self-leadership and job satisfaction. Specifically, hypotheses were established and a research model was established that behavior-focused strategies, natural reward strategies, and constructive thought pattern strategies have a significant positive (+) effect on organizational commitment, self-efficacy among these variables. In order to analyze this, 239 copies of survey data were collected from general domestic companies and analyzed through SPSS 25.0. The mediating analysis was conducted in the manner proposed by Baron & Kenny(1986). As a result, among the sub-factors of self-leadership, behavior-focused strategies and natural reward strategies had a significant positive (+) effect on organizational commitment, but constructive thought pattern strategies had no causal relationship with organizational commitment. In addition, in the relationship between these variables, self-efficacy showed a partial mediating effect. On the other hand, in the relationship between self-leadership and job satisfaction, only the natural reward strategies among the sub-factors of self-leadership showed a significant positive (+) effect, and behavior-focused strategies and constructive thought pattern strategies showed no causal relationship. Among these variables, self-efficacy was found to show partial mediation. Details and implications of the analysis results were dealt with in the conclusions and discussions of the study.

Purpose: This research compares self-leadership, team efficacy, problem solving processes and task satisfaction in response to teaching methods applied to nursing students, and determines whether variations exist. Method: This research experiments before and after the training of a nonequivalent group. The subjects were 36 learners of action learning methods and 39 learners of nursing course methods, and the research took place from October through December 2012. Results: Prior to the training, the general features and measurable variables of the two groups of subjects were similar, and self-leadership, team efficacy, problem solving process and task satisfaction in both groups were elevated compared to pre-training. In particular, in comparison with the nursing course, there was a notable difference in scores, the action learning method receiving high scores in the problem solving process (t=2.92, p=.005) and task satisfaction (t=2.54, p=.013) Conclusion: It is recommended that educators not only conduct the practice training course for teaching methods, but also incorporate action learning.
Purpose: Since 2006, social, ethical, and institutional options have been attempted in Korea to establish research ethics; however, the effectiveness of these attempts has not been thoroughly examined. Studies have been conducted abroad to determine the timeliness of social, ethical and institutional alternatives, such as the adoption of laws governing research ethics, the improvement of research ethics education, the bolstering of systems, the introduction of incentive programs, and the creation of social environments that support research ethics. Research design, data, and methodology: Specific facets of research misconduct or research ethics must be investigated and verified. Aspects of moral growth at the person level must be investigated via research ethics and research ethics education. Results: There is an increasing need for the general public to define and uphold research ethics as the impact of research findings on society grows. Researchers can boost their confidence in their ethical judgments and actions by being aware of research ethics. This may lead to confidence in their capacity to make morally sound decisions. Conclusion: By doing this study, the researcher confirmed that ethically correct behavior can lead to and realize self-growth. Researchers may be more interested in and dedicated to their work when they feel that their research might help them mature and develop ethically.
