페미니스트 관점에 근거한 소녀비행 요인의 검증을 통한 성-특성적 이론의 모색 (Search of Gender-Specific Theory through Empirical Testing of Factors of Girls' Delinquency based on Feministic Perspectives)

  • 지금까지 일반적인 청소년비행을 설명하는 이론들은 많은 발전을 이루었지만, 여성 특히 여자청소년의 비행에 관련되는 요인들을 설명하는 이론들은 극히 소수이고, 대표적인 청소년비행 이론들은 성 중립적인 사회이론으로 소년들의 비행을 설명하는데 적합한 것들이다. 따라서 여성의 특수하고 독특한 경험을 반영하는 여자청소년의 비행에 보다 설득력 있는 요인을 도출해낼 수 있는 성-특성적(gender-specific) 이론이 필요하다고 본다. 이러한 문제에 관심을 가졌던 페미니스트 학자들은 여자청소년의 비행을 설명하는 성 특성적 요인들의 검증을 수행하였고, 소녀들의 비행을 설명하는데 적절한 요인들에 대한 학자들 간에 일치가 이루어지지는 않고 있지만, 일부 요인들은 소년들보다는 소녀들의 비행을 설명하는데 보다 적절하다는데 합의하였다. 이에 이 연구에서는 여자청소년의 비행을 설명하는데 적절한 성 특성적 요인들로 알려진 요인들로서 개인적 상황에 대한 불만, 스스로의 일탈적 낙인과 주위의 일탈적 낙인, 자존감, 부모로부터의 학대나 주변 사람으로부터의 범죄 피해 경험 등의 요인과 비행의 관계를 한국청소년 패널조사(KYPS) 자료를 이용하여 검증하였다. 연구결과 선행연구 결과와 완전히 일치하지는 않지만, 대부분의 요인들이 소년들의 비행 보다는 소녀들의 비행을 설명하는데 설명력이 높은 것으로 나타나 이러한 요인들에 대한 후속연구의 수행을 통해 성-특성적 이론의 가능성을 고려해 볼 수 있다는 점에서 의미 있는 연구라고 생각된다.

Factors Influencing College Students' HPV Vaccination Intention: Focusing on Gender Differences and The Role of Subjective Norms

  • This study intends to examine gender differences in predictors of Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) vaccination intention based on the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB). Specifically, this study investigated whether the variables constituting TPB might show differential effects on college men and women's HPV vaccination intention. The current study also examined which specific subjective norms are more influential in explaining HPV vaccination intention of men and women. The results of an online survey revealed that females showed significantly higher intention to get the HPV vaccine and perceived behavioral control than male students. Female students' vaccination intention was best predicted by perceived behavioral control whereas friend norm was the most influential predictor of male students' intention to get the HPV vaccine. The results of this study provide implications for persuasive strategies required to appeal to college men and women to increase HPV vaccination rate.

통합기술수용이론을 활용한 온라인 명품 플랫폼 소비자 행동 연구 - 확장된 UTAUT(2) 이론을 중심으로 - (A Study on Consumer Behavior on Online Luxury Platforms using the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology - Focusing on the Extended UTAUT(2) Theory -)

  • This study was conducted to corroborate the factors that influence consumer characteristics and technology acceptance on online luxury platforms, which are rapidly emerging as distribution channels for luxury brands. To this end, the relationship between the degree of technology acceptance and behavioral intention of fashion consumers on online luxury platforms and the effect on specific factors such as age and gender was investigated to see if there was a difference in behavior and use behavior. A survey was conducted on Korean consumers between the age of 20 and 40 who have used online luxury platforms and then, a statistical analysis was conducted. As a result of the study, performance expectancy and facilitating conditions, hedonic motivation, price value, and habit were found to have a significant effect on platform behavioral intention, but effort expectancy and social influence did not have a significant effect. Additionally, both facilitating conditions and habit were found to have a directly significant effect on the platform use behavior, and it was confirmed that the platform behavior intention also had a significant effect on the use behavior. As a result of confirming the moderating effect of gender and age, there was no difference based on gender, but only the relationship between price value and behavioral intention was found to have a moderating effect. It is hoped that domestic online luxury platforms will grow into channels with distinct characteristics and continue to develop in the luxury market by utilizing specific affect factors of this study.

한국 청소년 비행의 성차 분석 (Gender Difference in Delinquent Behavior among Korean Adolescents)

  • This paper examined gender differences in a rate, type, relevant variables of delinquent behavior, and a gender differences regarding the relative influence of family, personality, academic achievement, sexual abuse and alcohol .drug abuse on delinquent behavior among Korean adolescents. Method: Data were collected by self-report questionnaires. Subjects consisted of 2,100 adolescents (male 1,396, female 704) in Korea, using proportional stratified random sampling method. Statistical methods were Chi-square, t-test and path analysis. Result: Male adolescents had higher rate of delinquent behavior, and more all types of delinquent behavior (antisocial, aggressive, and psychopathic) than female. Male adolescents showed more dysfunctional family dynamic environments, higher antisocial personality and sociability than female adolescents. Female adolescents had higher depressive tendencies than male. The most powerful contributing variables on male delinquent behavior were age, antisocial personality, parent-child relationship, isolation feelings, and sexual abuse in this order named. Drug abuse, isolation feelings, antisocial personality and parent-child relationship tended to be contributing variables for female delinquent behaviors in this order named. Conclusion: This investigation will provides a foundation for theory that addresses the complexities of both gender-specific and gender influences on delinquent behavior and development of preventive strategies for female delinquency.

Subject positions embodied in military uniform and its influences on modern fashion design

  • As a solemn and serious uniform, military uniform can be differentiated easily from any other clothing in the aspects of color, material and style. Inspired by military uniform, fashion designers have been applying military uniform elements into modern fashion design in recent years, which helps to bring military uniform from the trench onto international fashion runway. The primary method of this research is theory analysis method and exampling study method. Based on the collected materials of modern military uniform, this paper takes the fashion and cultural study theory of the famous American scholar Susan B. Kaiser as the leading theory to analyze four subject positions embodied in military uniform, including nation, rank, gender and time and space. By analyzing the subject positions embodied in military uniform, it shows the rich cultural connotation of military uniform and the function of various small details. Meanwhile, by giving specific examples, this paper explores the influences of military uniform on modern fashion design in respect to color, style, material, pattern and accessory. Through the conduct of this research, it comes to the conclusion that military uniform also has the characteristics and properties described in the fashion and cultural theory of Susan B. Kaiser, in addition, designers can be inspired by every specific object around them, which shows the talents of designers.

내재적 혁신성과 상품 관심이 특정 상품에 대한 소비자 혁신성에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Innate Innovativeness and Product Interest on Product-Specific Consumer Innovativeness)

  • This study investigated consumer innovativeness by examining a relationship model of innate innovativeness, product interest, product-specific innovativenss, and actualized innovativeness for eight product items as well as observed gender differences in the variables. The eight product items for the survey were smartphones, movies, clothing, cars, skin care products/cosmetics, traveling, AI products, and books. An online survey was conducted in January 2018, and 400 responses from male and female consumers in their twenties and thirties, were analyzed using reliability test, descriptive statistics, regression, and ANCOVA. The positive effect of innate innovativeness and product interest on product-specific innovativeness, and positive effect of innate innovativeness and product-specific innovativeness on actualized innovativeness were confirmed. Product interest was found to have a stronger power on product-specific innovativeness than innate innovativeness. Gender differences in product interest, product-specific innovativeness, and actualized innovativeness were identified as hypothesized. Female consumer's clothing interest, clothing innovativenss, and actualized clothing innovativeness were higher than male consumers; in addition, male consumer's cars and AI interest, cars and AI innovativenss, and actualized cars and AI innovativeness were higher than female's. The controversial results that indicated the higher innate innovativeness of male consumers useful to further in-depth discussion and research. This study contributed to the theory construction of consumer innovativeness research areas and offered practical implications for new product launching and customer relationship management.

패션과 기술의 융합 제품을 위한 TAM과 패션의 통합 모형 연구 (Technology Acceptance Model and fashion: Toward an integrated model for fashionable technology products)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a theoretical model identifying how consumers accept a fashionable technology product. A systematic review of 39 influential TAM studies focusing on theory development in the context of information technology results in three tendencies, which become backbone of the model of fashionable technology acceptance. A subsequent review of the nature of fashion fleshes out the backbone with detailed propositions in the more specific context of fashionable technology. The model of fashionable technology acceptance includes key propositions of Theory of Reasoned Action, in which internal beliefs consist of functional, aesthetic and symbolic values, and other factors, such as technology features (i.e., hardware specification, software specification, brand, and price factors), environmental conditions (i.e., technical infrastructure and user occasion), individual differences (i.e., age, gender, experience, personality, aesthetic sense, fashion innovativeness, and income), and social influence (i.e., subjective norms, social reputation, and cultural difference). Implications, limitations, and suggestions for future research are also discussed.

청소년 소비가치가 의류 제품 정가에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Adolescents′ Consumption Values on the Clothing Products Evaluation)

  • The Purpose of this study is to determine the effect of new generation adolescents' clothing consumption values on their evaluation of clothing products. In the positive analysis, a questionnaire survey was conducted. Particularly, based on Sheth's (1991) theory, a focus group Interview was performed to develop the questionnaire on adolescents' clothing consumption values. The results of this study can be summarized as follows: First, young consumers have different values and clothing purchasing behavior from adults. To be specific, adolescents tended to appreciate fashionable and sensual values among clothing consumption values. Second, it was found that adolescents'personal values and their group-wise clothing consumption values affected their evaluation of clothing products. Such a finding may explain the relationship between value system and purchasing decisions. Namely, adolescents' evaluation of clothing products is affected by their value system. This finding supports the consumer value system suggested by the "expectation-value" theory. Thus, values and clothing products evaluation are neither separated from each other nor unrelated, but they affect each other in an abstract hierarchial structure. After all, through the route model, personal values affect clothing consumption values, which in turn affect clothing products evaluation. Besides, the clothing consumption values are affected by gender directly or indirectly. All in all, some specific indices regarding the abstract and hierarchial consumption values could be offered by analyzing the effects of adolescents' consumption values on their evaluation of clothing products in reference to the external clues of price and trademark manipulated, and thereby, the effects of consumption values on the positive clothing products evaluation could be determined in general.n general.

Streamer Motives and User-Generated Content on Social Live-Streaming Services

  • Three most popular information services, Periscope, Ustream, and YouNow, vicarious for all Social Live-Streaming Services (SLSSs), are investigated to analyze their streamers' motivations and the user-generated content. Additionally, we collected demographic data (gender and age). More than 7,500 streams by users from the U.S., Germany, and Japan were observed. Main streamer motivations on SLSSs are boredom, socializing, the need to reach a specific group, the need to communicate, and fun. Important content categories on all three SLSSs are chatting, sharing information, 24/7, and 'slice of life.' We were able to identify differences between users from the U.S., Germany, and Japan as well as between the users of Periscope, Ustream, and YouNow. The main motive to stream in the U.S. is to reach a specific group, while in Japan it is socializing, and in Germany boredom. The top content category for both, YouNow as well as Periscope, is to chat; on Ustream it is 24/7 (i.e., webcams).

괜찮은 일 획득에서의 성별 차이: 한국 청년 직장인들을 대상으로 한 일의 심리학 모형의 다집단 분석 (Gender Differences in Obtaining Decent Work: A Multi-Group Analysis on the of Psychology of Working Theory for Korean Young Workers)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 일의 심리학 이론(PWT)에서 제시한 괜찮은 일 획득 경로에 남녀 차이가 존재하는 지 확인하는 것이었다. 이를 위해 335명의 국내 청년 직장인들에게 온라인 설문을 실시하였고 311명의 자료를 분석에 사용하였다. 참여자들의 평균 연령은 25.96세였으며, 그 중 남자는 94명, 여자는 217명이었다. 구조방정식 모형을 이용해 전체 집단의 자료를 분석한 결과, 경제적 제약은 일 자유의지와 진로적응성을 부적으로 예측하였으며, 일 자유의지와 진로적응성은 괜찮은 일을 정적으로 예측하여, 모형의 가정을 지지하였다. 경제적 제약과 괜찮은 일 사이에서 일 자유의지와 진로적응성의 전체 간접효과는 유의하였으나, 일 자유의지와 진로적응성 각각의 세부 간접효과 또는 일 자유의지와 진로적응성의 이중매개 효과는 유의하지 않았다. 다집단 분석 결과, 경로계수 차이가 유의하였는데, 여성의 경우 경제적 제약이 일 자유의지를 부적으로 예측하였으며, 일 자유의지는 괜찮은 일과 정적인 관련성을 나타냈으나 남성에게는 두 경로 모두 유의하지 않았다. 반대로 남성 집단에서는 경제적 제약이 진로적응성을 부적으로 예측하였고, 진로적응성은 괜찮은 일과 정적인 관련성을 보였으나 여성에게는 두 경로 모두 유의하지 않았다. 또한 여성은 일 자유의지가 경제적 제약과 괜찮은 일 사이를 매개하였고, 남성은 진로 적응성이 경제적 제약과 괜찮은 일 사이를 매개하였다. 이는 괜찮은 일을 획득하는 데 우선적으로 필요한 진로 자원이 성별에 따라 다를 수 있음을 시사한다.
