기혼근로자의 성역할 태도와 일-가족 지향성이 일-가족 갈등/촉진 및 가족친화제도 이용에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Employees' Gender Role Attitudes, Job Involvement, and Family Involvement on Work-Family Balance)

  • This study examined the effects of employees' gender role attitudes, job involvement, and family involvement on their work-family conflicts, work-family facilitation, and utilization of family-friendly corporate policies. Data was collected from 377 full-time married workers from 262 large (more than 300 employees) and 100 small (fewer than 300 employees) private sector companies. The questionnaire's measurements were based on recommendations from the literature review. The questionnaire consisted of the gender role attitude scales, job and family involvement scales, work-family conflict and facilitation scales, and questions pertaining to the employee's utilization of family-friendly corporate policies. The SPSS 12.0 statistical package was used to analyze the collected data. The study found that employees showed more or less egalitarian gender role attitudes and that they were more involved in their family than their job. The employees' responses showed a low rate of utilizing family-friendly policies, but employees from large companies reported a higher utilization of family-friendly policies than those from small companies. There were also gender differences in employees' gender role attitudes, work and family involvement, and utilization of policies. Male workers held more traditional gender role attitudes, had higher levels of job involvement, and had higher rates of utilization of policies than female employees. Meanwhile, employees with children exhibited more traditional gender role attitudes and higher rates of utilization of policies than those without children. Finally, serial hierarchical regression analyses revealed that employees' more egalitarian gender role attitudes and higher job and family involvement predict higher work-family facilitation, while their gender role attitudes and job and family involvement have no significant influence on work-family conflicts. Also, employees from large companies with high job involvement will have significantly higher utilization rates of family-friendly corporate policies.

남자간호사의 성역할 갈등, 간호전문직관이 이직의도에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Gender Role Conflict, Nursing Professionalism on Turnover Intention among Male Nurses)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 남자간호사의 성역할 갈등, 간호전문직관이 이직의도에 미치는 영향을 파악하기 위함이다. 서울, 경기도, 충청도, 경상도 소재의 병원 10곳에 근무 중인 남자간호사 106명을 대상으로, 2014년 11월 8일부터 2015년 11월 30까지 자가 보고식 설문조사로 시행되었다. 연구결과, 직무만족도(${\beta}=0.427$, p<.001)가 가장 큰 영향력을 나타내는 변수였으며, 간호전문직관(${\beta}=-0.244$, p=.004), 성역할 갈등(${\beta}=0.126$, p=.035) 순으로 이직의도에 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났고, 이들 전체 변수는 이직의도에 대해 약 30.2%의 설명력을 나타냈다(F=16.14, p<.001). 그러므로 직무만족도 및 간호전문직관 향상, 성역할 갈등을 감소시키기 위한 전략이 남자간호사의 이직의도 감소를 위해 도움이 될 것으로 사료된다.

남자 간호대학생의 성역할 갈등, 학업스트레스 대처, 사회적 지지가 대학생활 적응에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Gender Role Conflicts, Academic Stress Coping Ability, and Social Support on Adaptations to College Life among Male Nursing Students)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 남자 간호대학생의 성역할 갈등, 학업스트레스 대처, 사회적 지지가 대학생활 적응에 미치는 영향을 파악하기 위함이다. 경기도, 충청도, 경상도 소재의 4년제 간호학과 6곳에 재학 중인 남학생 225명을 대상으로, 2014년 4월 1일부터 6월 4일까지 자가 보고식 설문조사로 시행되었다. 연구결과, 학업스트레스 대처(${\beta}=0.33$, p<.001)가 가장 큰 영향력을 나타내는 변수로, 남자 간호대학생의 대학생활 적응을 약 22%설명하였다. 또한 전공만족도, 사회적지지, 성역할 갈등, 동아리 활동 순으로 대학생활 적응에 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났으며, 이들 전체 변수는 대학생활 적응에 대해 약 33%의 설명력을 나타냈다(F=23.50, p<.001). 그러므로 남자 간호대학생의 학업스트레스 대처능력 강화와 성역할 갈등을 해결하기 위한 프로그램 개발과 교수, 선후배로 구성된 사회적 지지망 구축이 대학생활 적응력 향상을 위해 도움이 될 것으로 사료된다.

중년기 남녀의 성역할 정체감과 부부갈등 및 심리적 적응의 관계 (The Relationships of the Middle-aged Men and Women's Gender-role Identity, Marital Conflict, and Psychological Adjustment)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships of married middle-aged men and women's gender-role identity, marital conflicts and psychological adjustment. Psychological adjustment was composed of mid life crisis, depression, and perceived happiness. The data of the study were collected from 397 married, middle aged men and women from 40 years to 59 years-old by using self-administered questionnaire method. The results showed that gender role identity was different according to sex. In addition, women's perceived level of marital conflict was found to be significantly different according to their gender role identity, indicating that androgynous women reported the lowest level of marital conflict. However, men's gender role conflict was not related to their marital conflict. Furthermore, men's psychological adjustment level was not different according to their gender role identity, while women's psychological adjustment differed, indicating that androgynous women reported the lowest level of psychological adjustment and the undifferentiated women the highest level of psychological adjustment. Finally, the result indicated that for both men and men, marital conflict were positively correlated with mid-crisis and depression, and negatively related with happiness.

다문화가족의 부부갈등과 갈등대처전략 (The Marital Conflicts and Coping Strategies in the Multicultural Families)

  • The purpose of this study is to find out marital conflicts and coping strategies among married female immigrants and Korean men in multicultural families. The data were collected by in.depth interviews with 12 female immigrants and 5 Korean men. The major findings of this study are as follows: Female participants suffered from marital conflicts with their spouses, conflicts with mothers.in.law, stereotyped gender roles as a wife and a daughter.in.law, economic conflicts, and cultural differences between Korea and their country. In addition, male participants reported conflicts from economic support for their wife's family, gender role differences, and cultural differences. Coping strategies used to deal with the conflicts, such as mutual dedication and understanding their spouse's stance, and developing a compromise for the family's happiness were mentioned. A personal positive nature and attitude helped them to meet the marital conflicts. Supports from their husband, parents.in.law, and society also helped female immigrants to adapt to cultural differences. However, some of them used negative coping strategies which did not reduce conflicts, and resulted in separation and divorce. The coping strategies to deal with the conflicts depended on the participants' personal ability. While female participants who had English language skills took advantage to adapt to Korean society, those who did not have any other natural abilities could develop a definite position in their family and society with their diligence and positive attitude. The results showed that female participants who were supported by their family and society tended to cope successfully with conflicts and also showed that multicultural families' marital adjustment was maintained with their efforts as well as by relationships with their relatives and society.

베트남 여성의 가족 인식, 성역할가치관, 노부모 부양가치관에 대한 탐색적 연구 (A Study on Family Perception, Gender-Role Values, Elderly Parent Support Values of Vietnamese Women)

  • This study focuses on the differences in family values, which is a cause of family dissolution and conflicts of marriage immigrant women. This study was conducted on 441 women in Vietnam. It was done to explore their family values. Specifically, the following were examined: the overall family values and martial status of Vietnamese women; differences in their family values by region (northern, central, southern). The survey questionnaire consists of the following content: 'family perception'; 'gender-role values'; 'elderly parent support value'. The characteristics of family values of Vietnamese women are as follows. First, the scope of family perceived by them was relatively narrow. In particular, most of them didn't perceive the parents of a spouse as a familymember. Second, in terms of gender-roles, they perceived men and women as equal and didn't have strong perception of traditional gender roles. Third, they felt strongly about supporting elderly parents. The perception of supporting elderly parents is based on equal gender roles, instead of the paternalistic approach. They preferred financial support to living with parents. There were also differences in family values by region. Also, their values seemed to be the opposite of the ones well-known by region. In addition, their values were changing amid economic growth and modernization. Residents in Can Tho in the south - known to have open-minded Southeast Asian values - had the most patrilineal, traditional values with strong perception towards supporting elderly parents. Residents in Hanoi in the north - known to have heavy influence of Confucian culture - had non-traditional values with positive attitude towards liberal sex culture, divorce, and remarriage. Residents in Da Nang, a central region, had a mixture of northern and southern characteristics in terms of family values.

유아의 관계적, 외현적 공격성에 영향을 미치는 관련변인들의 탐색 (Analysis of Variables Affecting Young Children's Relational and External Aggression)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the role of variables on young children's external aggression and relational aggression. Specifically, young children's temperaments and gender differences, parental marital conflicts, fathers' anti-social behaviors, mothers' child-rearing behaviors and psychological characteristics were studied. The findings of the study were as follows: Firstly, it was found that male children exhibited a higher level of external aggression than female children, while there was no significant difference between male and female children in terms of relational aggression. Secondly, analysis of variables such as children's temperaments and domestic environments revealed that fathers' anti-social behaviors, the adaptability of young children's temperaments and mothers' depression tendency have significant explanatory adequacies for young children's relational aggression. Furthermore, gender difference adaptability, activity and emotionality of young children's temperaments, in addition to parental marital conflicts, also have significant explanatory adequacies for young children's external aggression.

남자 간호대학생의 성역할 갈등, 간호전문직관이 진로준비행동에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Gender Role Conflicts, Professional Nursing Values and Career Preparation Behaviors of Male Nursing Students)

  • 본 연구는 남자 간호대학생의 성역할 갈등, 간호전문직관이 진로준비행동에 미치는 영향을 파악하기 위함이다. 2018년 7월 1일부터 11월 30일까지 K남, 북도에 위치한 5개 간호대학 2-4학년에 재학 중인 남자 간호대학생 127명을 대상으로 구조화된 설문지를 이용하여 자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS Win 24.0 프로그램을 이용하여 기술통계, independent t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients, stepwise multiple regression을 진행하였다. 남자 간호대학생의 진로준비행동에 대한 회귀모형은 유의한 것으로 나타났고(F=12.06, p<.001) 20.8%의 설명력을 보였다. 남자 간호대학생의 진로분비행동에 영향을 미치는 요인으로는 간호전문직관(${\beta}=.28$, p=.001), 전공만족도 중에서 만족(${\beta}=.23$, p=.006), 동아리활동(${\beta}=.19$, p=.020)으로 나타났다. 본 연구 결과를 토대로, 남자 간호대학생의 진로준비행동을 촉진하기 위해 학년에 따른 진로 교육 프로그램을 제공하고 간호전문직관 향상을 위한 간호교육 프로그램이 필요한 것으로 사료된다.

Emerging Gender Issues in Korean Online Media: A Temporal Semantic Network Analysis Approach

  • In South Korea, as awareness of gender equality increased since the 1990s, policies for gender equality and social awareness of equality have been established. Until recently, however, the gap between men and women in social and economic activities has not reached the globally desired level and led to social conflict throughout the country. In this study, we analyze the content of online news comments to understand the public perception of gender equality and the details of gender conflict and to grasp the emergence and diffusion process of emerging issues on gender equality. We collected text data from the online news that included the word 'gender equality' posted from January 2012 to June 2017 and also collected comments on each selected news item. Through text mining and the temporal semantic network analysis, we tracked the changes in discourse on gender equality and conflict. Results revealed that gender conflicts are increasing in the online media, and the focus of conflict is shifting from 'position and role inequality' to 'opportunity inequality'.

한국 성인의 성역할갈등, 양가적 성차별주의, 공격성에 따른 군집 유형별 강간통념수용도 (The Cluster of Adults' Gender Role Conflict, Ambivalent Sexism and Aggression and Their Differences in Acceptance of Rape Myths)

  • 이 연구는 성인의 성역할갈등, 양가적 성차별주의, 공격성에 따른 군집 유형을 탐색하고, 군집 유형별로 강간통념수용도에서 차이가 있는지를 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 대구 및 경상북도 지역에 거주하는 30대 이상 성인남녀 372명을 대상으로 성역할갈등, 양가적 성차별주의, 공격성, 강간통념수용도를 설문조사하였고, 불성실 응답자를 제외한 350명의 자료를 분석하였다. 군집분석 결과, 군집 1인 '비공격적 성고정관념 갈등형', 군집 2인 '적응적 성관념 수용형', 군집 3인 '공격적 성고정관념 순응형' 등 총 3개의 하위군집 유형이 형성되었다. 하위군집 유형별로 성별, 연령, 교육수준의 분포가 다르게 나타났으며, 각 하위군집별로 강간통념수용도에 대한 차이가 있는지에 대해 검증한 결과, 군집 3인 '공격적 성고정관념 순응형' 의 강간통념수용도가 가장 높았고, 군집 1인 '비공격적 성고정관념 갈등형', 군집 2인 '적응적 성관념 수용형' 순으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 교육 대상자가 어떠한 특성을 나타내는 하위 유형인지를 평가하고, 각 유형별 특성에 초점화하여 성폭력 예방교육프로그램을 개발할 필요성을 제기하고, 후속 연구를 위한 함의를 논의하였다.
