Objective : This study was designed to analyze the clinical studies on Tic disorder in traditional Korean medicine and traditional Chinese medicine. Methods : To figure out the Tic disorder, Korean medical studies from Oriental Medicine Advanced Searching Integrated System (OASIS) and Chinese Medical Journals from Wangfang data and China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) which published in 2008 to 2012 were analyzed. Results & Conclusions : 1. DSM-IV(7 studies), CCMD(3 studies) were frequently used in the diagnosis of tic disorder. 2. The herbs used for the treatment of tic disorder are Uncariae ramulus et Uncus(釣鉤藤), Paeoniae Radix Alba(白芍藥), Poria(白茯苓), Buthus martensi Karsch(全蝎) etc. 3. Acupuncture points frequently used were Paek'oe(GV20), Pungji(GB20), Naegwan(PC6), Sasinchong(EX-HN1), T'aech'ung(LR3), Joksamni(ST36), Hapgok(LI4) and so on. 4. The cause of Tic disorder is connected with liver, heart, spleen, kidney, gall bladder among the internal organs and Fire(火), Wind(風), Dampness(濕) of external causes.

This study was carried out (a) to investigate the variations of blood chemistry and (b) to examine the secretion trend of endocrine substances in a dog model after electroacupuncture and laser stimulation at different time period(9 to 11a.m. and 6 to 8p.m.). Two acupuncture points ; Da Zhui(GV-14) and Shen Shu(BL-23) were electroacupunctured for 20 minutes with 2Vol, 20Hz and irradiated for 5 minutes with 8,000Hz. Before stimulation and after a lapse of time(10-minutes, 30-minutes and 60-minutes) all dogs were checked the following parameters ; cortisol, ACTH, RBC, hemoglobin, hematocrit, WBC, Ca, P, SGPT, SGOT and creatinine. The results were as follow : The levels of cortisol and ACTH have been increased 10 minutes after the stimulation of the electroacupuncture and laser. The higher levels of cortisol and ACTH have been decreased to keep the normal levels from 30 minutes after the stimulation of the electroacupuncture and laser. The RBC, hemoglobin, hematocrit and WBC showed the physiological phenomena in the electroacupuncture and laser stimulation. In sero chemical analysis, calcium, phosphate, SGOT, SGPT and creatinine levels were within normal physiological ranges.

Objective : Interferon-alpha and Rivabirin are much used at the same time to treat Chronical C viral hepatitis. But interferon caused lots of unexpected side effects, Acupuncture Treatment for them will be an alternative plan. Methods : We first posed questions to a 4 year-old man who ha skin flare, fatigue, itching, insomnia, pronounced a diagnosis based on overall of symptoms and signs and then treated Acupuncture, Moxibustion and Electroacupuncture. We acupunctured a BL17, BL18, BL20 and removed it at once. We electroacupunctured at GV20, Yin tang(Ex-HN3) form 20 minutes, acupunctured at Bi yi(鼻翼, Extra-point), S36, P6. Pizhengge(脾定格) was acupunctured for 10 minutes. Results : The symptoms of fatigue, insomnia, itching are reduced after acupuncture treatments and they made a person keep interferon treatment on. Conclusions : We confirmed that acupuncture treatments make a patient of chronic C viral hepatitis reduce and improve side effects of interferon treatment. We should keep on studying the various and efficient method of acupuncture treatment to improve living quality and treatment efficiency of patients.

Objectives The purpose of this study is to investigate recent clinical studies on the effect of acupuncture for urticaria worldwide. Methods Based on the PubMed search with the key search terms of 'urticaria, acupuncture', dated between 2002 to 2015, a total of 9 randomized controlled trials (RCTs), 3 case series, and 2 case reports have been found, and were analyzed. Results and conclusions 1. The most commonly used acupoints were Quchi (LI 11), Xuehai (SP 10), Zusanli (ST 36), Sanyinjiao (SP 6), Dazhui (GV 14). 2. The most commonly used meridians were The Ren Channel, The Du Channel and The Gall Bladder Meridian of Foot-Shaoyang. 3. The treatment period varied from 12 days to 3 months. 4. Acupuncture treatment found to be significantly more or equally effective than the western medicine. 5. More clinical studies are needed to prove a true effectiveness of the acupuncture for urticaria. In case of laboratory tests, serum immunoglobulin E (IgE), interleukin 4 (IL-4) and Helicobacter pylori negative rate might be helpful.

Porcine follicular oocyte, collected from antral follicles (2~5 mm in diameter) of gilt ovaries were matured in vitro porcine follicular fluid (pFF) with PMSG (pFF-PMSG) buffer with at 37$^{\circ}C$ under 5% CO2 in air their ability of maturation promoting factor (MPF), of GV and GVBD formation was examined followed during time after in vitro culture. Formation of second metaphase was observed in 57.6% and 71.2% of matured in with pFF-PMSG buffer to 45 and 50 hours after invitro. Porcine oocytes cultured in pFF-PMSG for various periods of up to 30 hours were stained with Hoechst-33342 and classified according to maturation before assaying. Histone H1 kinase (H1K) activity was assayed during meiotic maturation in porcine oocytes matured in pFF-PMSG buffer in vitro. In oocytes matured in pFF-PMSG, H1K activity was at the 30 hours after culture and increased about 15 fold than at the germinal vesicle stage with before at the cultured in vitro. This pattern is similar to those reported in non-mammalian species and su, pp.rts the concepts that H1K is ubiquitous in eukaryotes and controls the meiotic cell cycle in mammals. These results suggest that the maturation pFF-PMSG buffer used influences the fluctuation pattern of H1K activity and biological characteristics of porcine oocytes cultured in vitro.

This study was performed to investigate that electro-acupuncture might relieve chronic back pain in horses. Twenty horses with chronic back pain were chosen from referring to College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Florida. They were assigned the patients referred to 2 treatment groups and 1 control group. The treatment group I was electrostimulated to 4 acupoints. The acupuncture points of Lumbosacral point, GV-6, BL26, and BL54 were used.; The treatment group II was taken the phenylbutazone orally. Control group was administered the normal saline per oral. Back pain score system was used to evaluate the degree of back pain. The treatment group r had significant lower back pain score from two times of electroacupuncture treatment. However, the treatment group II and control group did not change back, pain scores during experimental periods. Thus, Electroacupuncture treatment might be effective therapy for chronic back pain in horses.

Based on the research of cataract, glaucoma, bluish glaucoma, we have abtained the following results. 1. Main etiologies of the cataract are deficiency of the liver and kidneys, main symptoms are no nebula, no pain, no tear and sometimes light blue and white vision appear. 2. Main etiologies of glaucoma are receives heat from the liver, stagnation of the liver and gall bladder etc, main symptoms are both forehead corner pull each ether, pain from eye ball to nasal septum, headache, extending pain of the eyes, sometimes red and white flower vision appear, etc. 3. main etiologies of the bluish glaucoma are melancholy, wrath, stagnation of the liver, internal damage, flaming up fire of the phlegm, deficiency of the liver, deficiency of blood, etc, main symptoms are numbness, visual field constriction, blindness, reduce of visual capacity, blue flower vision sometimes appear, etc. 4. Treatments are mainly uses nourish Um(陰) to reduce pathogenic fire, relieve stagnancy of Ki(氣) of the liver, nourish Um(陰) of the liver and kidneys, etc, acupuncture points are mostly contended arounded eyes such as BL10)(天柱), GV16(風府), LR3)(太衝), HT5)(通里) and in the case of nauses and vomitting PC6)(內關, ST36)(足三里) are included in addition to the above.

The present study was performed to elucidate the therapeutic effect by aquapuncture with bee-venom (apitoxin) for treatment of canine pyoderma. The total 8 dogs with pyoderma were divided into 2 groups as control (antibiotics group: 4 dogs) and experimental groups (apitoxin group: 4 dogs). Antibiotics group was treated with bathing and antibiotics, while apitoxin group was treated with bathing and aquapuncture with apitoxin at Fei Shu (BL13), Wei Zhong (BL40), Da Zhui (GV14), Zu San Li (ST36), He Gu (LI04), Qu Chi (LI11), and San Yin Jiao (SP06). Based on the results of changes in clinical symptoms, total leukocyte counts, neutrophil/lymphocyte ratios and histopathological findings, antibiotics and apitoxin groups were all effective for treatment of canine pyoderma, and significant differences were not detected between the groups. It was suggested that apitoxin might be used as an alternative method to antibiotics for treatment of canine pyoderma.

Objectives : This study is carried out to analyze the use of Korean medical treatments on alopecia in Korean medicine clinical studies published in South Korea. Methods : Based on OASIS and KTKP with the keyword 'alopecia', published in 1996-2019.4.23., total 23 studies have been found and analyzed. We analyzed Korean medical treatment used in each cases, and investigated the tendency of use for each treatment. Results : 369 cases in 23 research papers were selected. Herbal medicine, acupuncture, pharmacopuncture, external medicine and other therapy were used as treatment for Alopecia. Herbal medicine with a cooling effect was mainly used. The acupoints mainly used were GV20, ST8, GB5, ST36, HT8, PC6, BL66. Pharmacopunctures used to treat alopecia were CF, HP, HH, BV, etc. The average duration of Korean medicine treatment was 144 days. After Korean medicine treatment, 292 cases presented improvement or complete recovery. Conclusions : According to the results, we were able to discover the current status of Korean medicine treatment of alopecia. Based on this result, further studies will be needed to establish the primary treatment direction of alopecia.

Cosmic rays are ions that move at relativistic speeds. They generate secondary cosmic rays by successive collisions with atmospheric particles, and then, the secondary particles reach the ground. The secondary particles are mainly neutrons and muons, and the neutrons are observed by the ground neutron monitor. This study compared the diurnal variation in cosmic ray intensity obtained via harmonic analysis and that obtained through the pile-up method, which was examined in a previous study. In addition, we analyzed the maximum phase of the diurnal variation using four neutron monitors with a cutoff rigidity below approximately 6 GV, located at similar longitudes to the Oulu and Rome neutron monitors. Expanding the data of solar cycles 20-24, we examined the time of the maximum cosmic ray intensity, that is, the maximum phase regarding the solar cyclic modulation. During solar cycles 20-24, the maximum phase derived by harmonic analysis showed no significant difference with that derived by the pile-up method. Thus, the pile-up method, a relatively straightforward process to analyze diurnal variation, could replace the complex harmonic analysis. In addition, the maximum phase at six neutron monitors shows the 22-year cyclic variation very clearly. The maximum phase tends to appear earlier and increase the width of the variation in solar cycles as the cutoff rigidity increases.
