The purpose of this study is to construct the database and to analyze the space and to suggest the possibility of application for architectural planning and design through the approach analysis for educational facilities with the use of the GIS. The properties of the space is to be expressed by optimized path from the analysis of the user and the traffic situation. Analyzed with other site analysis factors(situation, view, noise, configuration of the earth, etc.), the total site analysis is to be made and it is also to be a decision making support system.

Recently, the geographic information system(GIS) is generally used in various fields with the development of information and communication technology, with expansion of its applications and utilization scope. Especially, utilizing GIS is expected to have positive effects on the geography learning and more helpful for the geographic information observation compared to the picture or 2D based media. The effective visualization of complex geographic data does not only take realization of its visual information but also increases the human ability in analysis and understanding to use the geographic information. In this paper, we examine a method to develop the geography learning contents based on the technology with augmented reality and GIS, and then we have a case study for various kinds of visualization techniques and examples to use in geography learning situation. Moreover, we introduce an example of the manufacturing process from the existing GIS data to augmented reality based geography learning system. From the above, we show that the usefulness of our method is applicable for effective visualization of the three-dimensional geographic information in the geography learning environment.

GIS는 '단번에' 효과가 나타나는 다른 전산시스템과는 달리 최소한 3～4년의 손익분기점을 가지는 기술인 만큼 효과적인 운영이 중요하고, 효과적인 운영을 위해서는 자료의 최신성을 확보할 수 있는 DB의 지속적인 유지관리 활동이 그 무엇보다도 중요하다고 할 수 있다. 그러나 지자체를 중심으로 구축되어 있는 대부분의 GIS 활용체계는 준공과 동시에 운영과 유지관리 차원에서 적절한 대처를 수행하지 못함으로 인해 손익분기점 달성에 대한 회의적인 시각을 갖는 것이 지배적이라 할 수 있다. 특히 지자체 GIS사업이 추진되는 과정에서 각 시스템에 맞는 실질적인 유지관리 방안을 모색하고 이에 대한 충분한 교육이 진행되어야 함에도 불구하고 실제는 그렇지 못한데 그 원인이 있을 것이다. 그러나 보다 근원적인 문제점은 실제 유지관리 활동을 위해 무엇을 어떻게 해야 하는지에 대한 구체적인 방안을 가지고 있지 못한 것이 더욱 크다고 하겠다. 실제로 모든 사업추진과정에서 정해진 방법론에 의해 유지관리방안을 마련하게 되어 있으나 아주 형식적인 수준에서의 언급이 대부분이고 지자체라는 행정기관의 특성과 지자체 GIS의 주된 대상이 공사 및 시설물 관리와 관련되어 있다는 업무적 특성은 전혀 배제되고 있는 것이다. 그렇다면 실제로 GIS DB의 유지관리가 원활하게 진행되기 위해서는 어떻게 해야만 하는 것일까\ulcorner 이 질문에 대한 접근을 위해 본 연구에서는 GIS DB의 갱신이 일어나는 발생원인을 정확하게 진단하고 발생원인의 특성과 행정기관의 특성을 적절히 연계시켜 유지관리 모델을 제시하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 ‘선 유지관리 후 활용체계 정비의 중요성’을 점검하고, ‘변동자료 발생원인의 분석’, ‘명확한 변동자료 입력 근거의 확보’, ‘갱신주체별 역할의 정의 및 유지관리 기준의 설정’, ‘분야별업무 특성을 고려한 관련 기준의 마련 및 타 시스템과 연계되는 항목을 고려한 절차 정의’ 등에 대한 다양한 접근을 시도하였다. 본 연구에서 제시하는 유지관리 모델을 기반으로 각 지자체별로 적절한 컨설팅이 진행되고 이에 따라 담당자의 실천이 이루어진다면 지자체 GIS의 투자대비 효과에 대한 기대는 이상이 아닌 현실로 다가오게 될 것이다.가오게 될 것이다.

KEPCO(Korean Electric Power Corporation) is now operating an incorporated system for designing and maintenance of electric power facilities called NDIS (New Distribution Information System). Given the structure of the nation which exclusively permits establishment of new electric facilities and maintenance, expertise (skilled knowledge) about the related system on the part of electric engineers is very important. But in the view of education and training, it is a reality that current offline ways of education based on application for educational courses at the KEPCO Academy, an education organization under KEPCO, are unsatisfactory in efficiency and availability to related engineers. Therefore, We realize that a simulation design education system which guarantees an easy access is required to make the best of the existing system NDIS. For this purpose the present work is a study on the development of a simulation education system to make local based NDIS real on the web, which enables related engineers to practice designing and get feedback of the result.

Recently, the open source software market is becoming bigger and bigger as its demand keeps increasing worldwide. A variety of policies have been driven in Korea in order to vitalize the open source software. However, the performance for vitalizing the open source GIS software has not been initiated yet. The purpose of this research is to generate the support plan to vitalize the domestic open source GIS software which is appropriate for real field by analyzing the actual demand and user requirements. For this purpose we reviewed all the researches related to the vitalization of the open source software and conducted a survey based on the awareness of the open source GIS software, the current vitalization status, the adoption intent and necessary strategies for vitalization. According to the survey, the intent of adopting the open source GIS software is relatively high in both enterprises(97%) and universities(89%). On the other hand it is very low in public organizations(69%). As a result, the survey implies that more intense public relations are needed to escalate the awareness of the open source GIS software in the public organizations. In addition, the survey shows that both education and technology support are definitely needed as a strategies for the vitalization of the open source GIS software. We expect that this research can be utilized as a basic material for the policy making of the vitalization of the open source GIS software in Korea in the future.

The broad meaning of system integration is to satisfy user requirement, and to secure and offer Hardware, Software, network, System development, maintenance, education and manpower in his own responsibility for successful business. But the basic concept of system integration is not justified and the methodology of propel procedure is not established. Geological map and data are needed for land use planning, resources development, geological hazard prevention, environment protection and education, Since the nationwide geological database in Korea has not been constructed yet, there are many problems in using the geological map and data. There are many problems such a stratigraphy unestablishment, map conservation and edge matching in geological paper map. Therefore it is difficult to construct the geological map database, but the geological map database must be constructed as soon as possible as one of national thematic map. In this study, geological maps of pilot area such as Ansung geological map on a scale of 1:50,000, Busan on a scale of 1:250,000, Namchang on a scale of 1:25,000 and the whole Korean peninsula on a scale of 1:1,000,000 were designed and constructed to database using Geographic Information System(GIS). In addition the geological map management program was developed by GIS program. The digital geological maps were produced using the constructed geological database. The database could be of access through Internet World Wide Web(WWW) environment and be distributed in Compact Disk(CD).

선박의 대형화, 고속화로 인한 해난 사고 증가에 대응하기 위해 전자해도 도입이 되었다. 전자해도는 속성정보와 공간정보로 구성되는 안전을 위한 GIS 데이터다. 전자해도 객체는 200여 가지로 각 객체별 다양한 속성으로 구성된다. 국제수로기구는 전자해도 객체에 포함되는 속성값 입력을 표준적으로 수행하기 위해 전자해도 객체 입력 지침(Use of Object Catalogue)를 정의 하였다. 전자해도 제작을 위해서 전자해도 객체지침서 교육이 필요하며, 교육 시에는 UOC가 사용되었다. 한편, UOC의 교육 효율성을 높이기 위해서 많은 요구사항이 제안 되었다. 본 연구에서는 UOC의 교육 효율성을 높이기 위해 지원 도구를 설계 및 개발 하였다.

가상현실(VR)을 구현할 수 있는 하드웨어의 성능이 빠르게 향상됨에 따라 다양한 분야에서 가상현실(VR) 기술을 이용하여 콘텐츠를 개발하고 있다. 특히 가상현실(VR) 콘텐츠는 현실에서 재현하기 어렵거나 비용이 많이 드는 의료 및 안전 분야에서 활발히 개발되고 있으나 가상현실(VR) 교육콘텐츠에 대한 교육효과에 대한 조사 및 연구는 상대적으로 미흡한 상태이다. 하여 본 논문에서는 한국전력공사와 (주)포미트에서 개발한 "GIS 설비 정밀점검 교육 콘텐츠"를 체험한 사람들을 대상으로 진행한 설문조사 결과를 통해 발전 분야에서 가상현실(VR) 교육콘텐츠의 활용성과 교육콘텐츠의 효용성에 대해 살펴보았다.

The purposes of this study are to derive the regions in Seoul that lack gifted education units by analyzing the spatial distribution of the units and to investigate the factors related to the unit locations. The gifted education units are divided into the three following types: the first type is a gifted class at a school, the second type is a gifted education center at a provincial office of education, and the third type is a gifted education center at a university. The results of using a GIS-based spatial analysis were as follows. First, a buffering analysis showed that even though there were gifted educational blind spots in Jongno-gu and in parts of the outskirts of Seoul, the spatial distribution of gifted education units in Seoul seemed homogeneous because they were too small. Second, a special quotient analysis showed that there was a hub unit of gifted education in Guro-gu. Third, an analysis of local Moran's Index showed that Jung-gu was a cold spot and Songa-gu was a hot spot. Fourth, a correlation analysis investigated that the number of gifted education units had generally no statistically significant relationship with economic factors. These results will help to improve the efficiency and equity of the management of the gifted education units in Seoul that will be established or expanded in the future.
