In this paper we proposed a candidate algorithm on G.711.1 and G.722 superwideband extension codec which is under standardization by ITU-T. The proposed codec not only provides an interoperable bitstream with ITU-T G.711.1 and G.722, but also encodes a superwideband signal with a bandwidth of 50-14,000 Hz using superwideband extension layer. The candidate codec consists of a core layer to provide an interoperability with conventional wideband codecs and superwideband extension layer using linear prediction-based sinusoidal coding. The proposed extension codec operates on 5ms frame and provides four superwideband bitrates of 64, 80, 96, and 112 kbit/s depending on the core codec. Since the resulting bitstream has an embedded structure, it can be converted into core bitstream by simple truncation without transcoding. The proposed codec has a short algorithmic delay and low complexity and passed the qualification test of G.711.1 and G.722 superwideband extension codec performed by ITU-T.
Productivity of biosurfactant (rhamnolipid) by Pseudomonas aeuginosa F722 was investigated in the several culture conditions and culture composition. Biosurfactant production by P. aeuginosa F722 was amounted to 0.78 g/l as the result of the nitrogen sources and carbon sources without investing of optimum conditions. As for that one was investigated, biosurfactant production by P. aeruginosa F722 was amounted to 1.66 g/l. Biosurfactant production increased twofold because the composition of a modified C-medium was investigated efficiently. $NE_4$Cl or $NaNO_2$ inorganic nitrogens and yeast extract or trypton organic nitrogens were effective, but others inorganic nitrogens and organic nitrogens tested were not efficient far biosurfactant production by P. aeruginosa F722. The optimum concentration of $NH_4$Cl; inorganic nitrogen and yeast extract; organic nitrogen were 0.05% and 0.1%, respectively. In various carbon sources, others with the exception of hydrophobic property substrate (n-alkane) and hydrophilic property substrate (glucose, glycol) were not found to be effective fur biosurfactant production, and 3.0% was better in yield than other concentration of glucose. This yielded C-to-N ratios between 17 and 20. In our experiment, the highest biosurfactant production by P. aeruginosa F722 were observed in 5 days cultivation, containing glucose 3.0%, $NH_4$Cl 0.05%, and yeast extract 0.1% and C-to-N ratio was 20. Optimal pH and temperature for biosurfactant production were 7.0 and $35^{\circ}C$, respectively. Under the optimal culture conditions with glucose, biosurfactant production was amounted to 1.66 g/l. Velocity of biosurfactant production and strain growth increased after nitrogen depletion. The average surface tension of 30 mN/m after the 3 days of incubation under optimal culture condition was measured by ring tensionmeter.
In this Paper a split bandwidth wideband speech coder and its highband coding method are Proposed. The coder uses a split-band approach. where the wideband input speech signal is split into two equal frequency bands from 0-4kHz and 4-8kHz. The lowband and the highband are coded respectively by the 11.8kb/s G.729 Annex E and the proposed coding method. After the LPC analysis, the highband is divided by two modes according to the properties of signals. In stationary mode. the highband signals are compressed by the mixture excitation model; CELP algorithm and W (Matching Pursuit) algorithm. The others are coded by the only CELP algorithm. We compare the performance of the new wideband speech coder with that of G.722 48kbps SB-ADPCM and G.722.2 12.85kbps in a subjective method. The simulation results show that the Performance of the proposed wideband speech coder has better than that of 48kbps G.722 and no better than that of 12.85kbps G.722.2.
Two kinds of crude oil-degrading microorganisms from soil and one kind from sea were isolated and named strain Al32, strain F722 and strain OM1, respectively. These microorganism were identified Acinetobacter sp., Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Acinetobacter calcoaceticus, respectively. The optimum cultivation temperature of Acinetobacter sp. A132 and P. aeruginosa F722 was $35^{\circ}C$ and optimum growth pH was 8 and 9, respectively. The growth was the highest at 2.0% (w/v) substrate concentration when crude oil was only carbon source. The growth of A. calcoaceticus OM1 isolated from sea was the highest at 3.0% (w/v) of crude oil. In inspection of crude oil degradability, strain Al32 showed 5.49 g/L.day with Eleuthera (OMAN), 2.0% (w/v). P. aeruginosa F722 showed 1.19 g/L g/L.day with L-Zakum (AFRICA). In case of kerosene $nC_9\simnC_{20}$ and diesel $nC_9\simnC_{28}$, A. calcoaceticus OM1 was degraded 95% and 75%, respectively, for 7 days culture, and P. aeruginosa F722 was 80% after 10 days.

Crude oil-degrading microorganisms, Acinetobacter sp. A132, Pseudomonas aeruginosa F722, and Acinetobacter calcoaceticus OM1 were isolated from soil and sea. The optimal temperature of strain A132 and strain F722 on growth isolated from soil was $35^{\circ}C$ both, and also their growth were optimized at pH 8 and 9, respectively. The growth of the strains, A132 and F722, showed that crude oil of 2% (w/v) in culture broth in which crude oil was used as carbon and energy sources appeared to be an optimum. Optimal culture conditions of strain OM1 were different from those of the soil microorganisms except for temperature. The growth of strain OM1 was optimized at pH 7 and crude oil of 3.0% (w/v). The degradability to crude oil by strain A132 showed maximum $5.49g/\;l\;{\cdot}\;day$ under the conditions of $25^{\circ}C$, NaCl of 1.0% (w/v), and crude oil of 2.0% (w/v). The highest degradability of strain F722 to crude oil was $1.19g/\;l\;{\cdot}\;day$ under the culture conditions at $35^{\circ}C$, NaCl 1.0% (w/v), and crude oil of 2.0% (w/v). The degradation characteristics of kerosene $(nC_9-nC_{20})$ and diesel $(nC_9-nC_{28})$ by strain OM1, and F722 were analyzed by gas chromatography. Strain OM1 degraded more than 95% of kerosene and 75% of diesel for 7 days cultivation. Strain F722 showed degradation of more than 80% to kerosene in 10 days.
Six plasmids of B. thuringiensis serovar. kurstaki HD73 were detected, with approximate sizes of 7.4, 7.8, 8.1, 11.3, and 75 Kb, as well as a low copied plasmid of similar length to 75 Kb. Partially cured mutants from B. thuringiensis HD73 were obtained either by the treatment of the curing agent, ethidium bromide(0.02 $\mu\textrm{g}$/$m\ell$) or by spontaneous curing, Acrystalliferous mutants(Cry$^-$) were identified by microscopic observation and immunoblotting with polyclonal antibody against 133 KD deltaendotoxin of HD73. Ten Cry$^-$ mutants were found to be lack of 75 Kb plasmid. These results implicated that this plasmid was associated with delta-endotoxin production, After isolating the mutants, we streaked them on potato dextrose agar, spizizen casamino acid glucose, starch agar, and nutrient agar. Only on starch agar medium did morphologies of Cry$^-$ appear translucent and light greyish. On the other hand, the mutants of B. thuringiensis isolated from Korean soil, designated KBS722, were obtained by the treatment of novobiocin (3 $\mu\textrm{g}$/$m\ell$). Acrystalliferous mutants of KBS722 were less translucent than HD73 mutants' only on nutrient agar medium. Compared the plasmid profile of the mutants with delta-endotoxin production, the results seemed to indicate that the insecticidal protein gene of B. thuringiensis isolates KBS722 located on about 225 Kb plasmid DNA.

This paper represents the development of the HD-Voice application with G.711.1 coder-the latest wideband codec standard from ITU-T-for smartphone based on android platform. The work also includes the structure of the HD-voice application and the result of speech quality of HD-Voice application with G.711.1 coder. The paper shows that the speech quality of HD-Voice application with G.711.1 coder is excellent.
This paper proposes new 16 kbps wideband speech codec with bandwidth of 7 kHz. The proposed codec decomposes the input speech signal into low-band and high-band signals using QMF (Quadrature Mirror Filter), then AMR (Adaptive Multi Rate) speech codec processes the low-band signal and new transform-domain codec based on G.722.1 wideband cosec compresses the high-band signal. The proposed codec allocates different number of bits to each band in an adaptive way according to the property of input signal, which provides better performance than the codec with the fixed bit allocation scheme. In addition, the proposed cosec processes high-band signal using wavelet transform for better performance. The performance of proposed codec is measured in a subjective method. and the simulations with various speech data show that the proposed coders has better performance than G.722 48 kbps SB-ADPCM.
The hydrogen-producting bacterium was isolated from fresh water and identified as Enterbacter cloacae. The isolated was named Enterobacter cloacae YJ-1. In batch culture, The optimum cultivation temperature and pH of strain YJ-1 was 35$^{\circ}C$ and 7.5, respectively. All of the added glucose was consumed completely during fermentation even though pH was not controlled. Amount of hydrogen produced on each condition of 2% glucose, 4% sucrose and 5% fructose was 950, 1000 and 948 mL/L, respectively and resulted in increasing hydrogen production approximately 2.5-times more than controlled condition. The macimum hydrogen production was obtained when 50mM phosphate was added. was obtained when 50mM phosphate was added. In repeated0batch culture, yeast extract, but the production amount was not changed on the condition of over 0.5%, Most of the organic acides produced during the fermentation were formic and acetic acid, and propionic acid was moiety also generated.
Pseudomonas aeruginosa F722 produces a biosurfactant (BS) during its degradation of carbon and hydrocarbon compounds. The culture conditions for upgrading the biosurfactant productivity were investigated. The concentration of the biosurfactant produced by P. aeruginosa F722 was 0.78 g/L in C-medium; however, this increased to 1.66 g/L in BS medium, which was experimentally adjusted to optimal conditions. $NaNO_{2}$ was found to be most effective for microbial growth, with an $O.D_{600nm}$ of 1.18 for 0.1 % $NaNO_{2}$. Microbial growths, according to the $O.D_{600nm}$ were 2.53, 2.68, 2.89, and 2.87 for glucose, glycerol, $n-C_{10},\;and\;n-C_{22}$, respectively. Clear zone diameters (cm), indicating biosurfactant activity, were 9.0, 8.8, 5.7, and 8.5 for glucose, glycerol, $n-C_{10},\;and\;n-C_{22}$, respectively. Microbial growth was not consistent with the biosurfactant activity. The best biosurfactant activity was found with a C/N ratio of 20. Under optimal culture condition, the average surface tension decreased from 70 to 30 mN/m after 5 days. With aeration of 1.0 vvm, the biosurfactant produced increased to 1.94 g/L (up to 20%) compared to that of 1.66 g/L with no aeration. With aeration, the velocities of glucose degradation during both the log and stationary growth phases increased from 0.25 and $0.18\;h^{-1}$ to 0.33 and $0.29\;h^{-1}$, respectively, and the time for the culture to arrive at the maximum clear zone diameter became shorter, from 80 down to 60 h with no aeration.
