  • In this paper, we propose the notion of a distance between n points, called a g-metric, which is a further generalized G-metric. Indeed, it is shown that the g-metric with dimension 2 is the ordinary metric and the g-metric with dimension 3 is equivalent to the G-metric.

  • In this paper, we prove common fixed point theorems for six weakly compatible mappings in G-fuzzy metric spaces introduced by Sun and Yang [16] which is actually generalization of G-metric spaces. G-metric spaces coined by Mustafa and Sims [13]. The paper concerns our sustained efforts for the materialization of G-fuzzy metric spaces and their properties. We also exercise the concept of symmetric G-fuzzy metric space, 𝜙-function and weakly compatible mappings. The results present in this paper generalize the well-known comparable results in the literature. We justify our results by suitable examples. Some applications are also given in support of our results.

  • In this paper, we shall consider some properties of the metric projection as a set valued mapping. For a set G in a metric space E, the mapping 𝜋G; x → 𝜋G(x) of E into 2G is called set valued metric projection of E onto G. We investigated the properties related to the projection PS(·)(·) and 𝜋S(·)(·) as one-sided best simultaneous approximations.

  • Let (M2m, 𝜑, g) be a B-manifold. In this paper, we introduce a new class of metric on (M2m, 𝜑, g), obtained by a non-conformal deformation of the metric g, called a generalized Berger-type deformed metric. First we investigate the Levi-Civita connection of this metric. Secondly we characterize the Riemannian curvature, the sectional curvature and the scalar curvature. Finally, we study the proper biharmonicity of the identity map and of a curve on M with respect to a generalized Berger-type deformed metric.

  • Let G be a compact connected semisimple Lie group, g the Lie algebra of G, g the canonical metric (the biinvariant Riemannian metric which is induced from the Killing form of g), and $\nabla$ be the Levi-Civita connection for the metric g. Then, we get the fact that the Levi-Civita connection $\nabla$ in the tangent bundle TG over (G, g) is a Yang-Mills connection.

  • For A bounded subset G of a metric Space (X,d) and $\chi \in X$, let $f_{G}$ be the real-valued function on X defined by $f_{G}$($\chi$)=sup{$d (\chi, g)\in:G$}, and $F(G,\chi)$={$z \in X:sup_{g \in G}d(g,z)=sup_{g \in G}d(g,\chi)+d(\chi,z)$}. In this paper we discuss some properties of the map $f_G$ and of the set $ F(G, \chi)$ in convex metric spaces. A sufficient condition for an element of a convex metric space X to lie in $ F(G, \chi)$ is also given in this pope.

  • For an ordered set W = {w1, w2, . . . , wk} of vertices and a vertex v in a connected graph G, the k-vector r(v|W) = (d(v, w1), d(v, w2), . . . , d(v, wk)) is called the metric representation of v with respect to W, where d(x, y) is the distance between the vertices x and y. A set W is called a resolving set for G if distinct vertices of G have distinct metric representations with respect to W. The minimum cardinality of a resolving set for G is its metric dimension dim(G), and a resolving set of minimum cardinality is a basis of G. The corona product, G ⊙ H of graphs G and H is obtained by taking one copy of G and n(G) copies of H, and by joining each vertex of the ith copy of H to the ith vertex of G. In this paper, we obtain bounds for dim(G ⊙ K1), characterize all graphs G with dim(G ⊙ K1) = dim(G), and prove that dim(G ⊙ K1) = n - 1 if and only if G is the complete graph Kn or the star graph K1,n-1.

  • Let (Mm, g) be an m-dimensional Riemannian manifold. In this paper, we introduce a new class of metric on (Mm, g), obtained by a non-conformal deformation of the metric g. First we investigate the Levi-Civita connection of this metric. Secondly we characterize the Riemannian curvature, the sectional curvature and the scalar curvature. In the last section we characterizes some class of proper biharmonic maps. Examples of proper biharmonic maps are constructed when (Mm, g) is an Euclidean space.

  • In the present manuscript, we employ the concepts of Θ-map and Φ-map to define a strong (𝜃, 𝜙)s-contraction of a map f in a b-metric space (M, db). Then we prove and derive many fixed point theorems as well as we provide an example to support our main result. Moreover, we utilize our results to obtain many results in the settings of metric and G-metric spaces. Our results improve and modify many results in the literature.
