  • Inspired by the problem of finding hyperelastic curves in a Riemannian manifold, we present a study on the variational problem of a hyperelastic curve in Lie group. In a Riemannian manifold, we reorganize the characterization of the hyperelastic curve with appropriate constraints. By using this equilibrium equation, we derive an Euler-Lagrange equation for the hyperelastic energy functional defined in a Lie group G equipped with bi-invariant Riemannian metric. Then, we give a solution of this equation for a null hyperelastic Lie quadratic when Lie group G is SO(3).

  • N-acetylneuraminic acid is one of the major derivatives of sialic acid. is widely distributed in mammalian cells as the ${\alpha}$2-3- or ${\alpha}$2-6-linked nonreducing terminal residue of oligosaccharide chains of glycoconjugates, and plays important structural and functional roles at the cell membrane surface. The analysis of sialylated glycoproteins is an important part of glycoprotein characterization, especially because sialylation or desialylation in oligosaccharides often causes dramatic changes in the function of glycoproteins. • In this article, we introduce the quasi strongly E-convex function and pseudo strongly E-convex function on strongly E-convex set which generalizes strongly E-convex function defined by Youness [10]. Some non trivial examples have been constructed that show the existence of these functions. Several interesting properties of these functions have been discussed. An important characterization and relationship of these functions have been established. Furthermore, a nonlinear programming problem for quasi strongly E-convex function has been discussed.

  • In this study, we characterize the structure of the multivariable mappings which are sextic in each component. Indeed, we unify the general system of multi-sextic functional equations defining a multi-sextic mapping to a single equation. We also establish the Hyers-Ulam and Găvruţa stability of multi-sextic mappings by a fixed point theorem in non-Archimedean normed spaces. Moreover, we generalize some known stability results in the setting of quasi-𝛽-normed spaces. Using a characterization result, we indicate an example for the case that a multi-sextic mapping is non-stable.

  • Poly(butylene succinate) (PBS) prepolymers were prepared by the condensation polymerization of 1,4-butanediol (1,4-BD) and succinic atid (SCA) in the presence of titanium (VI) isoproxide(TPI) catalyst. The PBS prepolymers reacted with 1,4-BD or SCA to obtain hydroxyl or carboxylic acid group terminated PBS. High molecular weight linear or branched PBS was synthesized by a coupling reaction between hydroxyl and carboxylic acid group terminated PBS, or by a branching reaction between carboxylic acid group terminated PBS and glycerol as a branching agent. The weight average molecular weight of the prepared linear or branched PBS was in the range of 100,000-220,000. Both melting point and thermal stability of the high molecular weight linear and branched PBSs were somewhat higher than those of general PBS. From a tensile behavior by Instron test, modulus, tensile strength and elongation at break improved with increase in the molecular weight of the prepared PBS through the coupling or the branching reaction. In particular, the high molecular weight linear PBS had about 2.5 times higher value in modulus than the branched one.

  • A new light-emitting poly(p-phenylenevinylene) (PPV) derivative containing a polyhedral oligomeric silsequioxane (POSS-PPV) and its MEH-PPV copolymers, [Poly(POSSPV-co-MEHPV)]s, have been synthesized through the Gilch polymerization, and their light-emitting properties were investigated. The synthesized polymers were characterized by NMR, GPC, thermogravimetric and elemental analysis. The POSS-PPV and copolymers showed almost the same optical properties as the MEH-PPV, regardless of copolymer composition. The POSS-PPV and MEHPPV all showed their peak absorption at 505 and 496nm, and PL emission maxima at 578 and 581nm. POSSPPV showed higher PL quantum efficiency than the MEH-PPV. Synthesis, characterization and electroluminescent properties of the polymers will be presented.

  • In this study, we have fabricated light guide plates (LGPs) in thin film form for edge type back light unit (BLU) by using UV imprint lithography. In the LGPs, the pattern of functional resins on PC and PMMA substrates were successfully transferred from original master mold through PVC stamp. Optimized pattern arrays with slowly-sloped density were designed to obtain high brightness and uniformity. We could obtain a relatively improved brightness of $950cd/m^2$ and a uniformity of 87.3% by using the NP-S20 functional resins at an input power of 1.3 W because NP-S20 resin could show high formability after UV hardening process. The LGP prepared on polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) substrate exhibited higher brightness than that on polycarbonate (PC) substrate because PMMA has lower refractive index resulting in more refraction toward the vertical direction.
