The trend of "Blockbuster Exhibitions" over the past decade has led to the unfortunate reality that museums, losing sight of their role as an Academic organization, are becoming increasingly influenced by the corporate world. In my dissertation entitled "The Commercialization of Blockbuster Exhibitions in Museums," I explore the modern tendency toward Blockbuster exhibitions in art museums and the negative impact of those exhibitions on the art world. Museums of the modern day have expanded their territory from the traditional venue of public education to the hybrid cultural space. This mission, evident in the museum's attempt to satisfy audiences with the offering of diverse activities, has changed the concept of the museum, giving priority to the desire for financial gain. From the viewpoint of this new museology, the museum considers Blockbuster exhibitions as the safest method to increase ticket sales. As a program that openly reveals the commercialism of the museum, I explore the Blockbuster show and its strategies as a means of exposing the influence of the corporate world on art. A key component to the Blockbuster exhibition is the "hype" that is created to attract an audience. This devotion to increased publicity distracts from what should be the goal of public education, as the primary focus leans towards the desire for a large number of visitors. Consequently, this unavoidably standardized exhibition is presented to the public in a manner that deprives the audience of a unique experience. With large crowds and increased ticket prices, it is difficult to form a genuine appreciation of the artwork. In addition to the profit gained by increased ticket prices and the commercial sales of "souvenirs" from the museum gift shop, Blockbuster shows are used as a means to attract the attention of corporate sponsors. As explained in my dissertation, the importance that the museum places on corporate sponsorship as a capital resource is evident, however the degree to which the museum allows itself to he influenced by the desire for capital gain poses a threat to its function as an academic organization. Circumstances in American museum history, in particular, have influenced the transition from academic resource to corporation within museology. In keeping with the nation's tendency towards capitalism, art museums in the United States were initially established and developed by individual capitalists who applied principals of corporate operation to museum management. As a result, in modern days, We witness the influence of enterprise on museum programs, while corporate management may be able to guarantee immediate fiscal benefits, however, it is unable insure the future of the museum. In Slim, my dissertation discusses the mechanism of the commercialized "Blockbuster Exhibition" and the impact that it has on the future of the museum as an industry. This research provides an opportunity to reconsider the role of the museum as an academic institution, particularly in regard to the need to decrease the capitalization of exhibitions and refocus their influence on the art world as an educational resource.
As embedded system becomes more complex, software development becomes more important in the entire design process. Most embedded applications consist of multi -tasks, that are executed in parallel. So, dataflow model that expresses concurrency naturally is preferred than sequential programming language to develop multitask software. For the execution of multitasking codes, operating system is essential to schedule multi-tasks and to deal with the communication between tasks. But, it is needed to execute multitasking code without as when the target hardware platform cannot execute as or target platforms are candidates of design space exploration, because it is very costly to port as for all candidate platforms of DSE. For this reason, we propose the serialized multitasking code generation technique from dataflow specification. In the proposed technique, a task is specified with dataflow model, and generated as a C code. Code generation consists of two steps: First, a block in a task is generated as a separate function. Second, generated functions are scheduled by a multitasking scheduler that is also generated automatically. To make it easy to write customized scheduler manually, the data structure and information of each task are defined. With the preliminary experiment of DivX player, it is confirmed that the generated code from the proposed framework is efficiently and correctly executed on the target system.

This study was carried out to find the changed contents and details of the ponds at Jondeokjeong area in the Changdeok Palace, where was modified during the reign of King Gojong(高宗, 1863~1907), and considered the internal context through the diachronic views about royal garden building in the Joseon Dynasty. The results were as belows. First, this study found that the transformed time of the ponds at Jondeokjeong area was the 21th year of King Gojong(1884) based on the pictures taken in the last half of the 19th century and the records of "Gojongsilrok(高宗實錄: Annals of the King Gojong)". Second, this study also found that the remodeled ponds at Jondeokjeong area by King Gojong were followed the landscape of Geoncheong Palace(乾淸宮) and Hiangwon-pond(香遠池) in Gyeongbok Palace because the remodeled ponds of Jondeokjeong area had the spatial organization similar to Hiangwon-pond. Third, the bridge of remodeled ponds at Jondeokjeong area was utilized as the expedient to expand the function of rear garden, which combines the areas of Yungyungdang(演慶堂) and Jondeokjeong. This was the same method that Konchunggung(乾淸宮) in Gyeongbok Palace had occupied the whole area through the Chui-hiang bridge(醉香橋) which connects to the Hiangwonjeong(香遠亭). Fourth, ponds at Jondeokjeong area and Hiangwonjeong that were created during the year of King Gojong promised the use of Yungyungdang and Konchung Palace, and reflected the statuses of the two building-blocks. Lastly, this study concluded the remodeled Jondeokjeong ponds were not only to create the necessary spaces of the landscape for King Gojong, but also to build the space on the context of Huwonjeongdang(後苑政堂: political structure in rear garden), which has been passed down from their ancestors.

A thermal power plant is the first CFBC (Circulating Fluidized Bed Combustion) power plant consisting of 2 boilers-1 turbine. The optimal height of a stack needs to be approximately 156 meters in the case of this thermal power plant; however, the thermal power plant sites satisfy a function and reduce the construction cost by using mountains in the sites after cutting the ground and locating an integrated office and chimney at an altitude of 70 meters thereby lowering the height of the stack to 86 meters. In addition, the integrated office, which has a combined stack style with a unique design, is constructed by connecting with 2 stacks and disposing the office and an observatory in the space between them. Therefore, this study examined the design concept that fulfils the structural, functional, and aesthetic factors, harmoniously by joining the integrated office and the stack, which are disparate, and investigated special construction methods (Slip Form, Steel Inner Flue & Lift-up) through which heterogeneous architectures are structurally, functionally, and aesthetically constructed.
A layer channel, which can express effects on 3D image, is inserted to use it on application rendering effectively. The current method of effect rendering requires individual sources in storage and image processing, because it uses individual and mixed management of images and effects. However, we can save costs and improve results in images processing by processing both image and layer channels together. By changing image format to insert a layer channel in image and adding a hide function to conceal the layer channel and control to make it possible to approach image and layer channels simultaneously during loading image and techniques hiding the layer channel by changing image format with simple techniques, like alpha blending, etc., it is developed to improve reusability and be able to be used in all programs by combining the layer channel and image together, so that images in changed format can be viewed in general image viewers. With the configuration, we can improve processing speed by introducing image and layer channels simultaneously during loading images, and reduce the size of source storage space for layer channel images by inserting a layer channel in 3D images. Also, it allows managing images in 3D image and layer channels simultaneously, enabling effective expressions, and we can expect to use it effectively in multimedia image used in practical applications.
This study aims to examine the characteristics of news content and users' reactions in local broadcasting Youtube news' channel, and explore how the local media should response in the new online video environment. YouTube Open API sampled 3,950 news-related videos uploaded over a month on 31 YouTube news channels nationwide. The content analysis was performed on the basis of the analysis of individual videos, such as characteristics of each content and users' reactions. As a result, a few news channels have produced digital-only content, but the ratio has been very low, most were broadcast replay videos with titles and formats uploaded as they were. In some cases, it still operates as a comprehensive channel, which failed to show its expertise as an independent digital news platform. This shows that theses YouTube channels lacks differentiation from TV or its own web page, and is still skewed to the auxiliary role or online archive function of TV platform. Nevertheless, digital-only content, which can be a national issue based on regional expertise, has led to a higher number of views and users reactions, suggesting that is a realistic and effective strategy with expandability in online space in the future.

A 5-year old, intact male, Cocker spaniel dog was referred with paraplegia and loss of deep pain perception. Physical, neurological examinations, radiography, and computed tomography were evaluated. Based on the clinical examinations, the dog was diagnosed with severe disc herniation ($L_2$ to $L_3$ intervertebral disc space). On the next day of presentation (6 days after loss of deep pain perception), hemilaminectomy was performed. After decompression of spinal cord and removal of herniated disc materials, $1{\times}10^6$ canine allogenic adipose tissue-derived mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) diluted by $50{\mu}l$ saline were directly applied to the injured site of the spinal cord. Ten weeks of follow-up after surgery, full recovery of deep pain perception and motor function were evaluated in both hind limbs. Based on the result, we suggest that the transplantation of allogenic adipose tissue-derived MSCs to dogs with spinal cord injuries could be a considerable method to expect better clinical outcomes in veterinary practice.

Determining stop spacing is a very important process in transit system planning. This study is involved in an analytical approach to decide the transit stop spacing. Transit stop spacing should be longer as 1) user access speed, 2) user travel time, and 3) dwell time increase, and shorter as 1) passengers (boardings and alightings) and 2) headway increase. In this study, a methodology is proposed to determine transit stop spacing to minimize total cost (user cost plus operator cost) with irregular passenger distribution (boardings and alightings) Without considering in-vehicle passengers, the transit stop spacing should be shorter in the concentrated sections of the passenger distribution than in others to minimize total cost. Through the conceptual analysis, it is verified that the transit stop spacing could be longer as the in-vehicle passengers increase in certain sections. This study proposes a simple practical method to determine transit stop spacing and locations instead of a dynamic programming method which generally includes a complex and difficult calculation. If the space axis is changed to a time axis. the methodology of this study could be expanded to analyze a solution for the transit service (or headway) schedule problem.

This study involves an analytical approach to determine transit dispatching schedules (headways) Determining a time schedule is an important process in transit system planning. In general, the transit headway should be shorter during the peak hour than at non-peak hours for demand-responsive service. It allows passengers to minimize their waiting time under inelastic, fixed demand conditions. The transit headway should be longer as operating costs increase, and shorter as demand and waiting time increase. Optimal headway depends on the amount of ridership. and each individual vehicle dispatching time depends on the distribution of the ridership. This study provides a theoretical foundation for the dispatching scheme consistent with common sense. Previous research suggested a dispatching scheme with even headway. However, according to this research, that is valid for a specific case when the demand pattern is uniform. This study is a general analysis expanding that previous research. This study suggests an easy method to set a time table without a complex and difficult calculation. Further. if the time axis is changed to the space axis instead, this study could be expanded to address the spacing problems of some facilities such as roads. stations, routes and others.
