  • In the paper, by directly verifying an inequality which gives a lower bound for the first order modified Bessel function of the first kind, the authors supply a new proof for the complete monotonicity of a difference between the exponential function $e^{1/t}$ and the trigamma function ${\psi}^{\prime}(t)$ on (0, ${\infty}$).

  • We study a singular function which we call a generalized cylinder convex(concave) function induced from different generalized dyadic expansion systems on the unit interval. We show that the generalized cylinder convex(concave)function is a singular function and the length of its graph is 2. Using a local dimension set in the unit interval, we give some characterization of the distribution set using its derivative, which leads to that this singular function is nowhere differentiable in the sense of topological magnitude.

  • In this paper we study the structures and properties of a single cycle T-finction, whose theory has been lately proposed by Klimov and Shamir. Any cryptographic system based on T-functions may be insecure. Some of the TSC-series stream ciphers have been successfully attacked by some attacks. So it is important to analyze every aspect of a single cycle T-function. We study some properties on a single cycle T-function and we show some examples are single cycle T-functions by these properties, whose proof is easier than existing methods.

  • There is a new trend of incorporating software coverage metrics into software reliability modelling. This paper proposes a coverage-based software reliability growth model. Firstly, the failure rate function in coverage is analytically derived. Then it is shown that the number of detected faults follows a Nonhomogeneous Poisson distribution of which intensity function is the failure rate function in coverage. Practical applicability of the proposed models is examined by illustrative numerical examples.

  • In this paper, we rederive the identity ${\Gamma}_q(x){\Gamma}_q(1-x)={\frac{{\pi}_q}{sin_q({\pi}_qx)}$. Then, we give q-analogue of Gauss' multiplication formula and study representation of q-oscillator algebra in terms of the q-factorial polynomials.

  • In [1], Cameron and Storvick introduced the analytic operator-valued function space integral. Johnson and Lapidus proved that this integral can be expressed in terms of an integral of operator-valued functions [6]. In this paper, we find some operator-valued Bochner integrable functions and prove that the analytic operator-valued function space integral of a certain function is represented as the Bochner integral of operator-valued functions on some conditions.

  • In this article, we investigate the upper bounds on the coefficients for inverse of functions belongs to certain classes of univalent functions and in particular for the functions convex in one direction. Bounds on the Fekete-Szegö functional and third order Hankel determinant for these classes have also investigated.

  • Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the effects of fatigue, anxiety, depression, and cognitive function on the quality of life of gastrointestinal cancer patients receiving chemotherapy. Methods: Data were collected from a total of 141 participants. The measurements used were Functional Assessment of Chronic Illness Therapy for fatigue (FACIT-F), Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS) and Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy for cognitive function (FACT-Cog). Results: Significant correlations were found among fatigue, anxiety, depression, cognitive function, and quality of life. The mean score of quality of life was 59.60 out of 108, and 68% of the variance in QOL was explained by fatigue, anxiety, depression, and cognitive function. Cognitive function was the most influential factor (β=.30), followed by anxiety (β=-.27), depression (β=-.24), and fatigue (β=-.18). We found that the better the cognitive function, the lower the anxiety and depression, and the lower the degree of fatigue, the higher the quality of life. Conclusion: A nursing program for managing the changes in fatigue, anxiety, depression, and cognitive function should be provided to enhance maintenance and the improvement of the quality of life for gastrointestinal cancer patients who receive chemotherapy.

  • In this paper, we propose a novel dynamical love model of Romeo and Juliet, which has an external force with a fuzzy membership function. The external force used in the model has the characteristics of a Gaussian function. The chaotic behavior in the model is demonstrated using time series and phase portraits.
