  • In this Paper is analyzed about FMS(Fieldbus Message Specification) service of FOUNDATION Fieldbus and designed using of UML(Unified Modeling Language). The FMS provides a number of services for reading, writing, and otherwise accessing objects. The FOUNDATION Fieldbus protocol is object oriented. The information in the devices is accessed in the form of objects. In FMS, the objects for configuring device and strategy in a node are listed in an object dictionary(OD). Each object is identified by an index. For example, every function block and every parameter has an index.

  • In this paper, a thickness compensation function is introduced to consider the shear deformation and warping effect resulting from increased thickness in the composite multi-cell wing box. The thickness compensation function is used to perform the structure optimization of the multi-cell. It is determined by minimizing the error of an analytical formula using solid mechanics and the Ritz method. It is used to define a structural performance prediction expression due to the increase in thickness. The parameter is defined by the number of spars and analyzed by the critical buckling load and the limited failure index as a response. Constraints in structural optimization are composed of displacements, torsional angles, the critical buckling load, and the failure index. The objective function is the mass, and its optimization is performed using a genetic algorithm.

  • In this paper, we study singular Dirichlet boundary value problems involving ϕ-Laplacian. Using fixed point index theory, the existence of positive solutions is established under the assumption that the nonlinearity f = f(u) has a positive falling zero and is either superlinear or sublinear at u = 0.

  • In this paper, we consider singular 𝜑-Laplacian problems with nonlocal boundary conditions. Using a fixed point index theorem on a suitable cone, the existence results for one or two positive solutions are established under the assumption that the nonlinearity may not satisfy the L1-Carathéodory condition.

  • Implemented at the Geochang Observatory in South Korea, our slope detection and ranging (SLO-DAR) system features a 508 mm Cassegrain telescope (f /7.8), incorporating two Shack-Hartmann wave-front sensors (WFS) for precise measurements of atmospheric phase distortions, particularly from nearby binary or double stars, utilizing an 8 × 8 grid of sampling points. With an ability to reconstruct eight-layer vertical atmospheric profiles, the system quantifies the refractive index structure function (Cn2) through the crossed-beam method. Adaptable in vertical profiling altitude, ranging from a few hundred meters to several kilometers, contingent on the separation angle of binary stars, the system operates in both wide (2.5 to 12.5 arcminute separation angle) and narrow modes (11 to 15 arcsecond separation angle), covering altitudes from 122.3 to 611.5 meters and 6.1 to 8.3 kilometers, respectively. Initial measurements at the Geochang Observatory indicated Cn2 values up to 181.7 meters with a Fried parameter (r0) of 8.4 centimeters in wide mode and up to 7.8 kilometers with an r0 of 8.0 centimeters in narrow mode, suggesting similar seeing conditions to the Bohyun Observatory and aligning with a comparable 2014-2015 seeing profiling campaign in South Korea.

  • Objective of calibration is to find out the accurate kinematic relationships between robot joint angles and the position of the end-effector by estimating accurate model parameters defining the kinematic function. Estimating the model parameters requires measurement of the end-effector position at a number of different robot configurations. This paper studies the implication of measurement configurations in robot calibration. For selecting appropriate measurement configurations in robot calibration, an index is defined to measure the observability of the model parameters with respect to a set of robot configurations. It is found that, as the observability index of the selected measurement configurations increase the attribution of the position errors to the parameter errors becomes dominant while the effects of the measurement and unmodeled errors are less significant; consequently better estimation of parameter errors is expected. To demonstrate the implication of the observability measure in robot calibration, computer simulations are performed and their results are discussed.

  • This paper suggests an optimal parameter setting method by use of parametric protectability index, as the objective function. In this paper, a gradient based optimization method is used under the assumption that the initial values of a parameter is in a convex set including the optimal value, which is verified by a plenty of simulation studies. The proposed method is applied to a sample distribution network to shows its effectiveness.

  • In this paper, we consider φ-Laplacian nonlocal boundary value problems with singular weight function which may not be in L1(0, 1). The existence and nonexistence of positive solutions to the given problem for parameter λ belonging to some open intervals are shown. Our approach is based on the fixed point index theory.

  • This work provides the analytical methods to represent the updated form of stiffness or flexibility matrices using the measurements of the first few natural frequencies and the corresponding mode shapes. This study derives the mathematical forms on the variance of stiffness or flexibility matrices to minimize the performance index in the satisfaction of the eigen-function including the residual force depending on the measured data. The proposed methods can be utilized in detecting damage and updating the parameter matrices deviated from the analytical parameter matrices. The validity of the proposed methods is investigated in a numerical experiment of truss structure and the numerical results of stiffness-based and flexibility-based methods are compared. The sensitivity to the external noise is also examined for applying to the practical work.

  • The adaptation for a right source on the retina consists of the light-dark adaptation's two curves for a time by the rod-cone receptor. We obtained the adaptation for a time to measure the threshold intensities, it was two decay curves by the center of a rod-cone break. It could be represented the dark adaptation by a exponential decay function consisting of $T_{min}$, $a_r$, $a_c$, $T_{0(r)}$, $T_{0(c)}$, $t_b$, $t_c$'s parameters. The curves of a $t_b$ below and a $t_b$ above showed the adaptation sensitivity of the cone and the rod. The exponential decay function was well applied to the dark adaptation in difference retinal positions, in contrally fixated fields, in luminous, as age etc. It could be used the decay parameter as the index because of representing the properties of the dark adaptation's function.
