The purpose of this study is to provide information of the structure of the social support network and life interchange with the social support network which influence the life satisfaction in the rural elderly. The sample of this study was selected from the elderly living in Korea rural areas. 350 out of 363 respondents were finally selected as datum sources. The methodological instrument was the questionnaire. The major findings of this study can be summarized as follows: First most of rural elderly had the relationship all kinds of social support network-family kin neighbors & friend. And the family was the primary source of support network. The com-mon size of the social support network was 1-3 persons. Second the frequency of the contact with the family the neighbors & the friends were almost daily and they were interacting in a near distance. The interchange with the social support network was high. Life satisfaction of the rural elderly was low. Third the interchange with the family and the kin the emotional interchange had the effect upon life satisfaction. Also the economic service support was significant in the kin and the neighbors.
Purpose: This study was to identify the influence of sexual behavior, body image, social support, and other characteristics on sexual satisfaction in patients with breast cancer according to their participation in a support group. Method: Data was collected by self-report questionnaires. Participants included 63 patients attending a support group and 76 patients who did not participate in the support group. The questionnaire sections consisted of sexual satisfaction, sexual behavior, body image, social support and information on general characteristics, disease-related characteristics, and sexual life-related characteristics. Result: There was no statistically significant difference in sexual behavior, body image and sexual satisfaction between the two groups. Social support scores were significantly higher in the support group. Sexual satisfaction was positively related with sexual behavior, post-op change of sexual intercourse frequency, body image, and patient's education level, and negatively related to age in the support group. Sexual satisfaction was positively related with sexual behavior, social support and body image in the non support group. Sexual behavior is predictable 37.0% of sexual satisfaction in the support group. Sexual behavior, body image, and social support is predictable for 38.0% of the sexual satisfaction in non support group participants. Conclusion: Implications point to the need for the development and implementation of programs that focus specifically on sexual life issues for breast cancer patients, as well as further research measuring the effects of such intervention programs. Continuous education and counseling through participation in support groups can contribute to promote and affirm a healthy sexual life for patients with breast cancer.

This study surveys and discusses that to what extent consumers are understanding the benefits and which purpose of use they support more regarding the 700 MHz frequency band allocation for mobile communication use as well as public terrestrial UHD TV broadcasting use. The results of this study can be summarized as follow. First, consumers perceive not only advantages but disadvantages for the decision that 700 MHz frequency band is divided and utilized for both mobile communication and UHD TV broadcasting use. Second, 43% of consumers (the largest portion of opinions) say that they support government's final decision of 700 MHz frequency band allocation, which can be interpreted that government's long term discussion and final decision of frequency allocation policy is favorably accepted by the majority of consumers. The importance of this study is to survey consumers' perception of government's 700 MHz band frequency allocation policy from impartial point of view from either communication or broadcasting interest.

Purpose : This study was intended to investigate the frequency of job performance of the Korean professional medical support staffs (PMSS). Method : The data of 1,666 PMSS from 36 hospitals and over 500 beds were analyzed. The participants were divided into 5 groups: advanced practice nurses (APN), clinical nurse experts, physician assistants (PA), coordinators, and others. Results : Among the 5 main domains of job performance, advanced clinical practice has the highest frequency (111.36 d/y), followed by consultation/collaboration (75.66 d/y), education/counseling (53.54 d/y), leadership (23.90 d/y), and research (19.14 d/y). There was a significant difference in the frequency of job performance between the 5 groups of participants. The invasive activities were more frequent in the PA group. In the education and counseling domain, APNs had a higher level of job frequency than others (p < .001). In the research and leadership domains, APNs and coordinators had more prominent performance frequency than other groups (p < .01). However, there are some ambiguities in the job performance of the 5 groups depending on institutional characteristics. Conclusion : To establish the scope of work of PMSS, organizational and individual efforts are needed to promote and expand the leadership and research domains. To resolve the ambiguities of PMSS' roles, it is necessary to reorganize their titles.

In this paper, a measuring NDT(nondestructive testing) system using RUS(Resonant Ultrasound Spectroscopy) was built for nondestructive evaluation of the flaw in a ceramic Ferrule. The principle of RUS is that the mechanical resonant frequency of the materials depends on density, and the coefficient of elasticity. The RUS system is the measuring which is to exite specimen and to inspect the difference of natural frequency pattern between acceptable specimen and specimen which has some defects. RUS system is configured of spectrum analyzer, power amplifier, PZT sensor and support frame. For defect evaluation by the RUS, we performed to measure natural frequency of Ferrule, both acceptable and cracked. In the case of Ferrule, the resonant frequency of cracked-Ferrule existed to higher frequency band than acceptable-Ferrule.
Little is known about the relationship between fathers and their preadolescent children in Korea or about variations in fathering by SES and sex role orientation. The purpose of this exploratory research was to examine variation in contemporary Korean fathering (e.g., warmth of fathering, frequency of father involvement, and task share of father involvement) and its influence on children's sex role development. One hundred and twenty-nine fathers, mothers, and their 11-13-year-old children completed standardized survey questionnaires addressing their childrearing practices, parental role involvement, spousal support, and sex role orientations. Data were analyzed using MANOVAs, t-test, correlational analyses, and multiple regression analyses. Mothers reported more warmth in parenting than did fathers. Regardless of sex of child middle class fathers reported more warmth than lower class fathers and lower frequency of task share than lower class fathers. Regardless of SES, fathers with working wives reported higher levels of task share of involvement relative to their spouse. Fathers who were more frequently involved with their children tended to receive greater support from their wives for paternal involvement. There were no differences in parenting by sex of child nor was fathering associated with children's sex role orientation. Girls' femininity was related to fathers' masculinity. SES, maternal support, fathers' femininity, parents' education level, and maternal work status had predictive ability for the ecological view that fathering is a dynamic process predicted by personal characteristics as well as contextual factors.
The purpose of this study was to explore the factors related to depression of female elderly living alone by region. Data for this study was based on the 2011 National Survey on Elderly. Total of 1,684(689 rural elderly, 995 urban) community samples of female elderly living alone participated in this study. Even though there was no difference of depression score by region, this study found that the effects of factors on depression were significantly different by region. Yearly income, subjective health, balanced exchange of emotional support and satisfaction with their children were significantly associated with depression of both rural and urban female elderly living alone. For rural female elderly living alone, average daily television viewing time, number of close friends and frequency of contact with friends/neighbors were significant predictors to their depression. In the case of urban female elderly living alone, exercise, frequency of message, email or telephone contact with friends/ neighbors and balanced exchange of economic support contributed significantly to the prediction of depression. Subjective health had the strongest effect on depression for both rural and urban female elderly living alone.
Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the level of knowledge and education regarding basic life support (BLS) among scuba divers. Methods: Data collected from 125 scuba divers in Jeju-do were subjected to frequency, t-test, ANOVA, and Chi-square analyses using the SPSS 18.0 program. A vibration power minimization model is developed, based on the mobility matrix method, for a vibration isolation system consisting of a vibrating source placed on an elastic support structure through multiple resilient mounts. This model is applied to investigate the design optimization of an X-Y motion stage-based vibration isolation system used in semiconductor wire-bonding equipment. By varying the stiffness coefficients of the resilient mounts while constraining the dynamic displacement amplitudes of the X-Y motion stage, the total power flow from the X-Y motion stage (the vibrating source) to the equipment table (the elastic support structure) is minimized at each frequency interval in the concerned frequency range for different stiffnesses of the equipment table. The results show that when the equipment table is relatively flexible, the optimal design based on the proposed vibration power inimization model gives significantly little power flow than that obtained using a conventional vibration force minimization model at some critical frequencies. When the equipment table is rigid enough, both models provide almost the same predictions on the total power flow.
