In this study, we empirically investigated how start-up support programs provided at colleges affect students' satisfaction with their major and their Entrepreneurial Intentions. The participants included 248 students from five colleges two-four-year colleges located in Seoul, Gyeonggi-do Province, Chungcheong-do Province, Gyeongsangbuk-do Province, and Jeola-do Province. SPSSWIN 24.0 for descriptive statistics analysis, exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, multiple regression analysis, and moderated regression analysis. showed that, among various forms of support for business start-up, support for education on start-up and support for start-up activities had a positive impact on the students' opportunity motivation and achievement motivation at a statistically significant level. opportunity motivation, achievement motivation, and independence motivation all positive influence on the students' resolution to start a business support for education on start-up and support for start-up activities had positive impact on the studens' entrepreneurial Intentions. These findings suggest that college programs that support students' business start-up need to be developed and applied with a focus on support for education on start-up and support for start-up activities to enhance college students' satisfaction with their major and stimulate their Entrepreneurial Intentions.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the differences in recognition for foundation before and after foundation education for preliminary senior founder' demographic characteristics, and to verify the effects of the characteristics on the foundation interest and foundation confidence. For this, questionnaire survey was carried out for 103 preliminary senior founders who participated in the foundation education program implemented by government. The statistical significance was verified with SPSS 18.0 program. On the basis of empirical study results, the main results were withdrawn as follows. First, there was a significant difference in foundation interest between before and after foundation education. Second, there was no significant difference in foundation interest with foundation motivation at before and after foundation education. Third, there was no significant difference in foundation confidence between before and after foundation education. Fourth, there was no significant difference in foundation confidence with foundation motivation at before and after foundation education. In conclusion, this study recommends an alternative for education curriculum development and operation for improving the actual performance of the curriculums targeting the senior generation through reliable research.
Due to its nature, business foundation accompanies high levels of risk taking and responsibility. For this reason, entrepreneurs come to experience various negative emotions in the process of business foundation such as anxiety about risks, fear of failure, and pressure of success. However, entrepreneurs' negative emotions reduce individual inclinations for business foundation. Thus, it is necessary to research individual psychological characteristics that could reduce and attenuate entrepreneurs' negative emotions. To this end, this study examined the effects of Self-forgiveness, and Narcissism, psychological motivation variables, and Positive psychological capital and Career ambition, goal motivation variables, on entrepreneurial intentions. In order to verify research hypotheses, 326 questionnaires collected from prep-entrepreneurs were used for the empirical analysis. Looking at the analysis results, Self-forgiveness, Narcissism, Positive psychological capital and Career ambition had significant effects on entrepreneurial intentions. This study has a meaning in that it confirmed the influential relationship between the psychological characteristics reducing entrepreneurs' negative emotions and entrepreneurial intentions. In addition, this study suggested its implications, limitations, and future research directions based on the study results.
The purpose of this study is to analyse the realities of fundraising and distribution of the local community chest in Korea. Until now little empirical study has been conducted concerning the culture of giving. Using the sample of 900 citizens selected from 7 cities and another sample of 230 from policy-making group in 16 local community chest, this study analysed empirical1y how the capacity, motivation and opportunity of the prospective donors are related to giving and the current issues of fundraising and distribution. According to the results of analysis, the level of motivation in giving culture is very low. Also it was found that religious beliefs is the most important motivating factor in giving. Participation in volunteer activities is another important factor to influencing giving. Some effective fundraising strategies are suggested including strengthening the motivation of prospective donors, workplace donation and joint-fundraising with religious organization or other foundation, coordinating fundraising activities between the community chest and other social welfare agencies. Program-oriented distribution and change of some distribution standards are stressed as an effective distribution strategy.
Purpose - In this study, we consider and examine relationships between reasons for business switch or liquidation (BSL), and the demographics of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in South Korea. The related five variables are occupations, administrative districts, age of employer, firm age and foundation motivation. In addition, eleven levels in association with reasons for BSL visualize the corresponding demographics by measuring their similarity on the dimensional planes assuming that the association exists between variables under consideration. Research design, data, and methodology - This study is done by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups in 2016 and examines 20,307 small and medium enterprises. For examining the distinct relationships among variables under consideration, both chi-squared test and correspondence analysis as main statistical tools are used. Results - The results show that among levels of reasons for BSL the three levels -weakening profitability, poor sales and economic depression- are main ones for the five demographics variables mentioned above, and we can obtain the detailed associations between attributes of corresponding variables by inspecting the two dimensional plane. Conclusions - This study suggests reasons for BSL are closely associated with the five different demographics variables - Administrative districts, Firm age, Occupations, Age of employer and Foundation motivation-by looking over results.

The increasing number of retrenchments because of the current global pandemic, Covid-19, has led many to shift to the digital economy, especially among the low-income group (B40) in Malaysia. Crowdsourcing is the collection of information, opinions, or work from a group of people, usually sourced via the Internet. Fueled by the development of Internet-based platforms that provided its technological foundation, and the need for an agile and uniquely skilled workforce, crowdsourcing has grown from the grassroots, with a burgeoning body of research investigating its many aspects. However, very few studies examined crowd workers' motivation for continuous participation on online crowdsourcing platforms. Thus, this paper aims to explore the technological factors that facilitate B40's group motivation in Malaysia to continue to participate in online crowdsourcing platforms. This paper employed a qualitative approach, using a semi-structured interview. The thematic analysis method was used to decode the data extracted from the interview transcript. The finding of this study identified four main themes and seven sub-themes: (1) Technology efficacy, (2) Platform Management: client-worker management, safety net, payment mechanism, (3) Platform Design: UI design, rating feature and (4) Infrastructure: Internet connection, technology infrastructure. This study can provide a guideline for managing crowdsourcing practices in Malaysia, especially for the crowdsourcing platform developer.

The purposes of this study were to survey internal engagement in science fair and explore the causal relationship between internal engagement and motivation for participation. A written questionnaire on queries into motivation for participation and internal engagement were developed and tested. The subjects were 1066 students from 4th to 9th grade who had participated in the Youth Science Contest under the auspices of the Korea Science Foundation. Interest and commitment were selected as constructing factors of internal engagement. Through exploratory factor analysis, preference, reward, and social motivation were determined to be the factors affecting the motivation to participate. Boys showed higher internal engagement than girls, and interest and commitment were found to be higher in elementary school students(p<0.01). There was no difference in interest among elementary school students; however, fourth grade students showed lower commitment than other students(p<0.01). Ninth grade students showed the lowest interest and commitment among junior high school students(p<0.01). To explore the causal relationship between internal engagement and factors influence internal engagement, path analysis was used. The selected model illustrated how reward motivation affected commitment directly, and how preference motivation affected interest directly but only commitment indirectly through interest. Reward motivation affected commitment with a standardized direct effect coefficient of 0.17. Preference motivation affected interest with a standardized direct effect coefficient of 0.75 and commitment with a standardized total effect coefficient of 0.63(direct effect; 0.27 and indirect effect; 0.36). In addition, interest affected commitment with a standardized direct effect coefficient of 0.49. Social motivation did not affect interest and commitment and reward motivation did not affect interest.
Objectives : The purpose of this study was to examine the educational effects of team learning by having learners keep a journal to record, check and reflect on their own learning. It's basically meant to investigate the effects of team learning on learning motivation and academic achievements to provide some information on teaching-learning strategy setting tailored to learner characteristics. Methods : The subjects in this study were 49 college sophomores. After they were divided into an experimental group and a control group, the experimental group of 24 students engaged in team learning from March to June, 2012, and that group was asked to keep a reflective journal every week to determine whether writing a reflective journal in every session served to boost their learning motivation and academic achievement or not. Results : 1. After the experimental group kept a reflective journal, that group underwent a significant change in learning motivation from a mean of 3.34 in the pretest to a mean of 4.01 in the posttest(p<0.05). The experimental group showed a more positive improvement than the control group. 2. After the experimental group kept a reflective journal, they underwent a significant change in academic achievement from 22.7 in the pretest to 23.5 in the posttest(p<0.05). The control group showed no significant improvement in academic achievement. Conclusions : The findings of the study illustrated that keeping a reflective journal had a positive impact on the learning motivation of the learners, and the findings of the study are expected to lay the foundation for future research in new teaching methods for the department of dental hygiene.
Purpose The purpose of this study is to examine what motivates users to adopt one of the emerging applications for collaborative consumption of sharing economy. Using the self-determination theory, motivation theory and TAM(Technology Acceptance Model) as the theoretical framework, this study illustrates important factors that influence adoption of collaborative consumption service. We develops the ICTs(Information and Communications Technologies) initiatives and motivation model to collaborative consumption. Design/methodology/approach This paper makes use of a quantitative methodology using survey questionnaire that allows for the measurement of the eight constructs(System Availability, Contents Quality, Design & Personalization, Security & Privacy, Emotional & Social Value, Economic Value, Attitude, Adoption & Consumption) contained in the hypothesized theoretical model on the basis of the prior literatures. Data collected from a sample of 227 respondents who have used the collaborative consumption services and provided the foundation for the examination of the proposed relationships in the model. Findings This study has the following implications for the users and providers of CC platforms and services. The ICTs initiatives (System Availability, Contents Quality, Design & Personalization, Security & Privacy) are the influential factors that motivate the emotional and social value to CC. On the other hand, The ICTs initiatives (System Availability, Contents Quality) are not very significant factors of economic value to CC. The empirical analysis result indicate that there are significant causal effect among emotional & social value, economic value, and adoption to CC. This study provides important theoretical implications for innovation adoption research through an empirical examination of the relationship between ICTs initiatives, motivation factors to collaborative consumption in the sharing economy.

This study was designed to investigate the relations of motivation to related variables, and the motivation by student's variables basically through measure of motivation system about science learning. For this, 496 fourth-grade students and 425 eighth-grade students were required to accomplish a questionnaire on behavioral inhibition/activation system about science learning (SL-BIS/BAS), and self-efficacy. Based on these materials, SLBIS/BAS by student's variables and relations between the system to self-efficacy were analyzed. The result of this study shows the following:First, the sensitivity about SL-BIS in the eighth-grade was higher than in the fourth-grade. But sensitivity about SLBAS and self-efficacy in the eighth-grade was lower than in the fourth-grade Hence, the difference in sensitivity about SL-BIS/BAS agree with difference in motivation. Second, there were low negative correlation with SL-BIS and self-efficacy, and positive correlation with SL-BAS and self-efficacy. In addition, two systems account for 41% of self-efficacy, it showed that SL-BIS/BAS relates to self-efficacy. Through the results of this study, relations of motivation to related variables, and the motivation by student's variables were identified. These results would be helpful for teachers to understand the difference about motivation by students' variables and to make a plan for the appropriate strategies for learners.
