People who participated in this study are six foreign workers after studying at the university or graduate school in Korea. A phenomenological qualitative research method was used in this study in order to elicit life experiences from foreign workers who were working in Korea business companies. Therefore, their experience regarding Korean business culture and business culture education were measured by in-depth interviews. This study shows that nun-chi, vertical relationships, and impatience of Koreans are the most difficult culture to foreign workers. They also feel difficulties regarding Koreans' lack of understanding about other cultures. Moreover, these were not difficult components within school life; rather, the most difficult aspects were that they have never learned about the Korean business culture before getting a job. The results show that international students who want to work in Korea companies need to study about the culture of Korean business and revealed the desirability to learn. These results can be used as a foundation for understanding some contents and criterion of Korean business culture and education.

  • In recent years, the outward foreign direct investment (oFDI) in the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) by Chinese companies has significantly increased in size and changed in content. However, changes in the oFDI patterns between the pre- and post-BRI periods have not received sufficient attention from academia despite their theoretical and strategic significance. This paper reviewed existing research to establish seven hypotheses on changes in the oFDI patterns of Chinese companies investing in BRI countries and conducted empirical analyses to test the hypotheses using secondary data. The results showed that after the BRI agreement, Chinese oFDI in BRI countries was more active in less economically and less institutionally developed countries, that the oFDI by privately-owned enterprises (POEs) increased more than that of state-owned enterprises (SOEs), and that SOEs were more active in the social overhead capital (SOC) area while POEs were more active in the non-SOC area. The paper concludes with a summary, implications, and future research directions.

  • Domestic telecommunication companies have increased in marketing expenditures and capital investments in their plants and equipments. Their expectation for their investment sometimes results in the shrinking of their ARPUs(average revenues per user) as well as decreasing of net profits. Those financial efforts have not always been positive relation with their ARPUs. Since western and european telecommunication industry recently have similar situation with our market where their mobile and network users have been saturated so that no more increased users are estimated. Therefore, this paper aims for first to explore methods maximizing the investments efficiency for the telecommunication company so that we choose bechmarked telecommmunication companies to explore their investment managing situation with resepct to their marketing and capital expenditure. Secondly this paper tried to suggest several public policy guidelines for domestic telecommunication industry. Total seventeen foreign telecommunication companies were selected and data set through official IR as well as AR were chosen. Curvilinear logarithmic regression analysis were tested to obtain elasticities as well as marginal effects. As a result, overspending on the marketing investment showed more negative indicators to their revenues, on the other hand, more investment in the Capex such as network infrastructures and other service facilities were more likely related to positive revenues.
