  • Game industry, one of cultural-content industry which is considered as a typical knowledge-based industry and creative industry, is not like the overseas expansion of traditional manufacture, and has different strategy and performance of export expansion through product or project-based strategy. Therefore, it should be approached by each content unit, and necessary to look at the factors that make their decision makings of foreign market entry vary. This study focuses on discovering creativity, absorptive capacity and strategic orientation(market orientation and innovation orientation) which affect the difference of distribution's decision making of entry into foreign market in game industry This paper examined 252 cases of online games in order to investigate creativity, absorptive capacity and strategic orientations for each foreign market and what entry type(among licensing, joint distribution, exclusive distribution) they chose according to the products developed in team level. This helps us analyze the factors affecting market orientation and innovation orientation in the perspectives of creativity and absorptive capacity in comprehensive way, and notice the phenomena which use different foreign distribution strategy though there are company incorporated abroad and their results. • This study investigates the effect of internationalization speed and scope on the performance in Korean SMEs. Through empirical regression analysis, the following results were identified. both the time-based speed of internationalization and the scope of internationalization by a geographical perspective have significant positive impacts on international performance. This implies that the earlier and wider in global market expansion, the more positive the effect on performance. It was also confirmed that the scope has a significantly greater effect on international performance than speed, which suggests that the geographical national scope is more meaningful for international performance than the initial foreign market entry speed. In addition, the characteristics of the CEO's international experience strengthened the positive relationship between internationalization speed and performance. In conclusion, it means that the internationalization speed and the scope after foreign market entry should be managed in a balanced way to enhance the level of SMEs internationalization.

  • Purpose - This paper empirically investigates the relationship between born global strategy and the accounting- and market- based financial performance of Korean firms. Further, this study identifies the characteristics of born global firms (BGs) in comparison with non-BG counterparts in terms of size, R&D, and liability. Design/methodology - Using a database of listed Korean SMEs in the manufacturing sector from 2010 to 2020, this study applies panel generalized least squares (GLS) estimation and logistic regression techniques. Findings - This study finds that BG strategy is negatively related to the firm's accounting-based financial performance, while it is positively related to the market-based financial performance. This study also finds that BGs have higher sales volume and more total assets compared to their non-BG counterparts. In addition, Korean BGs spend more on R&D, and at the same time have higher liability. Originality/value - BGs, by definition, are firms that are actively penetrating foreign markets from the early stages of their establishment. Previous studies of Korean BGs have tried to identify the determinants of BGs' rapid internationalization and their superior performance. However, most of these studies have utilized either qualitative case- or survey-based analyses with relatively limited numbers of observations. From a different perspective, this study provides more objective evidence by investigating how the BG strategy affects the financial and market performance of firms, and by characterizing BGs in terms of financial data.

While economy in Africa began booming since 2000. Influenced by Global Financial Crisis and European Debt Crisis, economy in Africa slightly slowed down, but it was rebounding apparently from 2010. The urgent demand for energy and the sharp increasing in foreign exchange reserve pushes China to seek overseas markets. As Africa keeps a well relationship with China and the complementarity between China and Africa economy, Africa becomes one of the target markets for China's foreign development. Recently more and more enterprises begin to invest in Africa market. But till now the study on Africa mainly focuses on theoretical research based on real cases, and empirical research are very few and need to be increased. This thesis studies the influence of enterprise feature; local market feature and investment in foreign market on the result satisfaction of Chinese enterprises that invest in Africa markets. • Because of its unique characteristics, the construction industry tends to be affected by economic environment more than any other industries. The domestic construction industry was forced to change its management pattern and system when it went through the foreign currency crisis, and since then, the construction industry has been growing in terms of quality over last 10 years, breaking from the quantitative performance-oriented growth in the past. The study was intended to integrate the financial data of the companies during the period before and after the foreign currency crisis so as to analyze the effect of environmental changes on management performance of the companies. It was aimed at evaluating the changes to the stability, profitability and the growth potential, and collecting the data on variation of the market scale, price of resources such as material and labor and the financial environment, thereby analyzing the correlation with the management performance. The study, to deal with the difficulties which are anticipated, like the foreign currency crisis experienced in the past, was also intended to identify the correlation between the economic conditions and the performance of the construction companies, using the experimental data in the past.

  • A power tool is a tool used to manufacture and process various structures using a motor that is a power source. Using a motor that uses electricity as a power source, a reduction device, power transmission and conversion device functions are built-in to make the tool rotate, reciprocate, and vibrate. It is a work tool designed to assist the user's movement skills. In the case of Korea, the power tool industry has a short history and is lagging behind advanced countries such as Germany, the United States, and Japan in terms of technology level, market share, and recognition. In addition, electric drivers used in Korea are foreign products from the US and European countries, and the domestic market also prefers 100% foreign companies, and multinational companies are investing a lot in the domestic market. Therefore, technological development must follow in order to develop domestic technology and secure a consistently high market share. The purpose of this thesis is to design a motor driver with high output performance of motor performance, miniaturization, and high speed in accordance with the basic performance requirements of power tools, and finally research developments that can be applied to industrial and medical applications.

  • This study analyzed overseas market performance factors, focusing on the use of smart logistics platforms by companies entering overseas markets. Research design, data, methodology : Nine hypotheses were established among four potential variables, including the use of a smart logistics platform. An empirical analysis was carried out targeting 175 companies entering the overseas market, and hypothesis testing was performed using a structural equation model. As a result of the analysis, it was possible to confirm the mediating effect of the use of the smart logistics platform, and the effect of the supply chain orientation and the logistics service network was confirmed. In this study, it was confirmed that the use of a smart logistics platform mediates the effect of supply chain orientation on the logistics service network. In this regard, it was pointed out that it is necessary to increase the ability to utilize the smart logistics platform.

  • One of the notable changes in Korean Industry in 1990's was globalization. Many of Korea plants have been built In the foreign countries and many of foreign plants have been build in Korea. And it is believed that many foreign insurance companies will begin their business in Korea soon, as Korea will open their insurance market to them. While sprinkler system plays very important role in total fire protection system, Korean sprinkler system design has not been studied in depth. Thus, it is not easy to convince the performance of Korean sprinkler system and compare it to NFPA 13, Standard for the Installation of Sprinkler System. Design guideline from both system will be listed and compared in detail. Fire water demand from both system will be reviewed to evaluate its adequacy. Water spray density and actuation time will be estimated, too.

  • Emphasis on relationship management might be found out from Williamson (1975), who tried to elucidate why an organization exists. According to his transaction cost theory, an organization is established to evade opportunistic actions of the market and build up a hierarchy of value chain. However, judged from the perspective of exchange relationship in a trade, the transaction cost theory was likely to approach to buyer-seller relationship by the mechanism of competition. Therefore, an organization exists to control the competition of the market. Relationship management suggested by relationship marketing focuses on cooperation between buyers and sellers, rather than competition against each other. Relationship management aims to provide a framework for making a market relationship that might become an asset or a resource of the firm. In the process of maintaining and strengthening long-term and cooperative relationship with all stakeholders included customers, suppliers and staff, they continue to create new values. The purpose of this empirical research, by investigating how relationship management of multinational enterprises influences on their competitive advantages and performances, is to suggest that a cooperative relationship established for a long time in the market, so-called quasi-market relationship, substitutes for an organization.
