  • In this paper, direct power control system for three-phase PWM AC/DC converter without the source voltage sensors is proposed. The sinusoidal input current and unity effective power factor are realised based on the estimated flux in the observer. Both active and reactive power calculated using estimated flux. The estimation of flux is performed based on the Reduced-order flux observer using the actual currents and the command control voltage. The source voltage sensors are replaced by a flux estimator. The active and reactive powers estimation are performed based on the estimated flux and Phase anble. The proposed algorithm is verified through simulation and experiment.

  • This paper presents an adaptive flux observer to estimate stator flux linkage and stator inductances of an interior permanent-magnet synchronous machine considering magnetic saturation. The concept of static and dynamic inductances due to saturation is introduced in the machine model to describe the relationship between current and flux linkage and the relationship between their time derivatives. A flux observer designed in the stationary reference frame with constant inductance is analyzed in the rotor reference frame by a frequency-response characteristic. An adaptive algorithm for an on-line inductance estimation is proposed and a Lyapunov-based analysis is given to discuss its stability. The dynamic inductances are estimated by using Taylor approximation based on the static inductances estimated by the adaptive method. The simulation and experimental results show the feasibility and performance of the proposed technique.

  • In this paper, a combined field orientation and adaptive backstepping approach using a sliding mode adaptive flux observer, is proposed for the control of induction motor In order to achieve the speed regulation with the consideration of improving power efficiency, rotor angular speed and flux amplitude tracking objectives are formulated. Rotor flux and inverse time constant are estimated by the sliding mode adaptive flux observer based on a fixed stator frame model and mechanical lumped uncertainty such as inertia moment, load torque disturbance, friction compensated by the adaptive backstepping based on a field-oriented model. Simulation results are provided to verify the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

  • A direct torque control(DTC) based sensorless speed control system which employs a new closed loop flux observer is proposed. The flux observer takes an adaptive scheduling gains where motet speed is used as the scheduling variable. Adaptive nature comes from the fact that the estimated values of stator resistance and speed are included as observer parameters. The parameters of the PI controllers adopted in the adaptive law for the estimation of stator resistance and motor speed are determined by simple genetic algorithm. Simulation results in low speed region are given for comparison between proposed and conventional flux estimate scheme.

  • In this article a neural network adaptive observer is proposed and applied to the case of induction motor control. The high performance vector control drives require exact knowledge of rotor flux. Because rotor time constant is needed to observe rotor flux, the accurate estimation of rotor time constant is important. For these problems, proposed observer which comprises neural network flux observer and neural network torque observer is trained to learn the flux dynamics and torque dynamics and subject to further on-line training by means of a backpropagation algorithem. Therefore it has been shown that the robust control of induction motor neglects the rotor time constant variations.

  • This study was to control magnetic field orientation-typed sensorless vector control by applying the theory of a rotor flux observer to drive an induction motor. This research suggested a new speed estimation method that estimates speed with the rotor flux obtained by using a flux observer and the variable of state current detected by a current sensor without a speed sensor. Because the speed estimation method is independent from the motor constants, it is not necessary to control the gain of the parameters and the algorithm is simple. In the findings of the study, the researcher was convinced of the control function and the possibility of realization in the simulation experiment of sensorless vector control system by using DSP(Digital Signal Prosessor).

  • This paper investigates an improved stator flux linkage observer for sensorless permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) drives using a voltage-based flux linkage model and an adaptive sliding mode variable structure. We propose a new observer design that employs an improved sliding mode reaching law to achieve better estimation accuracy. The design includes two models and two adaptive estimating laws, and we illustrate that the design is stable using the Popov hyper-stability theory. Simulation and experimental results demonstrate that the proposed estimator accurately calculates the speed, the stator flux linkage, and the resistance while overcoming the shortcomings of traditional estimators.

  • The study of the vector control of the induction machine without speed sensor is going on and there are the adaptive performance method to use the flux observer. This study is to make the vector control without the speed sensor based on the flux oriented reference vector control theory. This paper proposes the new speed follow-up method to deduce the current value in the current sensor and the 2 order flux observer based on the observer theory and examine the possibility to realize the flux oriented vector control system using the simulation in this proposed method of this study.
