This study examined the firefighting publicity satisfaction (FFPS) and the effects of firefighting publicity (EOFFP) on efficient firefighting publicity (FFP). In addition, the relationship between FFPS and EOFFP was analyzed. The result of the investigation of the FFPS was 58.5 points, which was slightly higher than the medium. The result of EOFFP revealed an increase in fire safety consciousness. In particular, the fire extinguishing ability was higher than the other item. The most powerful FFP method in raising fire safety consciousness was the Internet/Smart phone. Another effective and favorite method of FFP was the media. Fire safety consciousness did not influence the FFPS but the FFPS had an impact on the EOFFP.

Sizing system of Korean structural firefighting protective clothing that is national approved should be met for specification of structural firefighting protective clothing that is identified by Ministry of Public Administration and Security(MOPAS). However if you look over the specification of sizing system, the standard is based on only 'height' and the others are indicated as the size of completed product. KS K ISO 13688 and EN 340 which is met on ISO 13688 which indicates sizing system about protective clothing has the standards of height, chest and waist circumference. Also NFPA 1971 that has standards of sizing system is based on chest circumference, cervical to wrist length, waist circumference and inseam. That is different from Korean standards. Therefore, fire fighting protective clothing standards which is based on only height should be compensated and not be relied on foreign standards like ISO. It is indispensable for developing our own sizing system of structural fire fighting protective clothing. In this studying, Korean new sizing system of structural fire fighting protective clothing was developed for providing basic information of ergonomic structural fire fighting protective clothing. The analyzed target age was between 20 and 59 years old fire fighter who extinguish the fire. And it was analyzed by 3D measurement among data of the $5^{th}$ Size Korea. On conclusion, in case of structural fire fighting protective clothing coat, physical dimension was to be chest circumference, cervical to wrist length. Three dimensions as 5cm space of circumference and four dimensions as 2.5cm space of cervical to wrist length were derived, which means that totally 12 dimensions were defined. Dimension standards of pants was based on the analysis of waist circumference and crotch height. Six dimensions as 5cm space of waist circumference and three dimensions as 5cm space of crotch height were derived, which means that totally 14 dimensions were defined.
In the Local Autonomy Law, we regard the fire-fighting service as inherent service for the local government. However, if we look into the course of the charge of fire-fighting service, after the transfer of this from the police service, or the state, to the local service in 1991, this is now taking a firm hold as service of the local government. what we call the local services includes the business about the welfare of the residents and that of taking in charge of the resident properties, proclaimed in the Constitution. That is to say, the basic purpose of the local autonomy is to make the residents feel the most convenient and safe, and this is the mission of the present-day local autonomy. Looking from this point of view, if we consider that the ultimate purpose of fire-fighting is promoting the welfare of the residents by preventing and putting out fires and, in the time of emergency, carrying out rescue and relief operations, and furthermore, maintaining the safety and order of a society, until present time the benefits of fire-fighting business were mainly available to the residents of the cities. In order to break from these thoughts, according to the result of comparing and analyzing the metropolitan city, surrounding rural areas, middle and small cities and typical rural areas, the rural areas are urgently demanding fire-fighting service, so it is being proved that it is necessary to install the offices in these areas. Therefore, the installation of the fire-fighting offices in the counties that are the basic units of the primary local autonomy and are rural areas should be expanded as part of the welfare administration.

In this study, we investigated the operation of railroad fire fighting vehicles against fires on trains in a long railway tunnel. In recent years, long railway tunnels (more than 10 km in length) have been built and the number of such tunnels, such as the Geumjeong tunnel (20.3 km in length) on the Gyeongbu high speed line, Solan tunnel (16.7 km in length) on the Yeongdong line and Yulhyeon tunnel (50.3 km in length) on the Suseo high speed line which is scheduled to be opened in the second half of 2016, is increasing. Significant damage is to be expected, due to the increased evacuation time and limited accessibility of fire services when the train is stopped by an urgent fire in the tunnel. Special fire fighting vehicles capable of running on rails have been developed and operated in overseas advanced countries. Therefore, a fire-response system using Unimog vehicles, which can run on road and rail, instead of road vehicles, is necessary. The characteristics of the railway tunnel and thermal environmental change caused by a train fire in a tunnel were analyzed in this study. Also, the operational requirements of the railroad fire fighting vehicles were evaluated by taking into account the specifications of the railroad fire fighting vehicles under development.
The marine industry is rapidly developing as a result of the increase in various needs in the marine environment. In addition, accidents involving ship fires and explosions and the resulting casualties are increasing. Generally, manpower and safety problems exist in fire fighting. A fire fighter in the form of an autonomous surface robot would be ideal for marine fire safety, because it has no manpower and safety problems. Therefore, an autonomous surface robot with the abilities of fire recognition and tracking, nozzle selection, position and attitude control, and fire fighting was developed and is discussed in this paper. The test and evaluation results of this robot showed the possibility of real-size applications and the need for additional studies.
Purpose: The purpose of the study was to investigate the differences in quality of sleep, job stress, fatigue, job satisfaction, and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) according to the type of work in fire-fighting officers. Methods: This study used an online questionnaire. The participants were 322 fire-fighting officers. The data were collected from May 2 to 20, 2018. Data were analyzed using SPSS 22.0. Results: According to the work styles of fire fighting officers, job stress, job satisfaction, and PTSD showed significant differences. However, There were no differences in sleep quality and fatigue. There were significant differences in job stress, job satisfaction, and PTSD in those in roles of fire suppression and rescue emergency medical technicians and this result suggests a way to improve the quality of sleep, job stress, job satisfaction and fatigue for fire-fighting officers who suffer from PTSD. Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, mental health of fire-fighting officers will be improved through basic data for psychotherapy which can overcome the quality of sleep, job stress, fatigue, job satisfaction and PTSD according to the work style of fire-fighting officers.

Every crew are in great peril that they should put out a fire on board in person due to a property of ship isolated. Accordingly, it is essential to verify whether the fire-fighter's outfits and fire-fighting scenarios in accordance with present regulations are safe and effective actually. As a result of comparison between shore fire-fighter's outfits and fire-fighting scenarios and those on ship and statistics calculation of the place and frequency of the fire of actual ship, present limitations of fire suppression system and fire-fighter's outfits were proved. In addition, derive the distance to the place on ship that has highest frequency of fire occurrence from examining actual ship's drawings according to their description and size. Finally from experiments in more experimental groups by changing numbers of actual fire-fighters and environment and conduction of survey of a number of crew in active service on ship, the most effective fire-fighter's outfits system and fire-fighting scenarios will be derived.
In terms of reinforcing the functions and services of rescue 119 and emergency corps, we must review the following considerations : Building up security system along with operational expansion, building up a system for emergency medical treatment, buliding up a comprehensive information management system for rescue and emergency, constructing a provincial safety museum and so forth. (3) In configuration work of power point, hyper link was used most and configured to see any part at any situation like web document and then uniformity of presentation order of power point was complemented. (4) In case of sales facilities with the area of $35.557m^2$, the time of 22 hours and 30 minutes for five days was taken with five persons. Therefore, when eight-hour works a day were calculated, the whole process of video work for Rock-Drill can be finished with three day works.
Modern fire fighting jobs have been expanded to include areas of rescue, emergency medical service as well as conventional fire suppression, so that load for fire fighting jobs has been increased. Specifically, musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) such as low back injury have been considered as one of major industrial hazards in heavy manual material handling during fire fighting jobs. This study tried to evaluate risk levels and to prepare background for reducing risk levels associated with heavy manual material handling during fire fighting jobs. This study applied two major tools in evaluating heavy manual material handling jobs which were NLE (NIOSH Lifting Equation) and 3DSSPP (3D Static Strength Prediction Program). A risk index in terms of heavy manual material handling during fire fighting jobs was identified. This index consisted of seven risk levels ranged from nine points (the first level) to three points (the seventh level). There was no job associated with the first level (the highest risk level) of index. There was only one job (life saving job) belonging to the second level (the second highest risk level) of index. The third level had jobs such as usage of destruction equipment and lifting patient. A total of basic eighteen jobs was categorized into six different levels (2nd-7th levels) of index. The outcome of the study could provide a good basis for conducting job intervention, preparing good equipment and developing good education program in order to prevent and reduce MSDs including low back injury of fire fighting jobs.
