편입과정을 거쳐 입사한 신규간호사의 적응경험 (Adaptation to Clinical Experience by Older Graduate Nurses who Entered Nursing after Graduation in Another Field)

  • Purpose: With the increasing opportunities for students to transfer into nursing from other departments or after graduation, it is important to examine how these students adapt to clinical work in the hospital setting after graduation. This study was done to describe the adaptation experience of older graduate nurses in hospital settings and to understand the meanings and search the nature of their experience. Method: For this study, the participants were 6 nurses who entered nursing after having graduated from college or university in another field. The data were collected through in-depth interviews from March to April 2007 and analyzed by Colaizzi's phenomenological method. Results: The essential themes of the adaptation experience for older graduate nurses were the following 6 categories: taking responsibilities for the expected role according to one's age, following the rules of senior-junior hierarchy, being ambivalent about one's older age, expanding one's support system, getting rid of the concept of age difference and establishing the expected position appropriate for one's career. Conclusion: For older graduate nurses, interpersonal relationship factors were more important than work related factors. Therefore, it is important to create a more flexible nursing culture to ease the adaptation of these older graduate nurses.

중첩격자계와 접합격자계를 이용한 적응격자 기법 (A Grid Adaptation Method Using the Chimera and Patched Grid Systems)

  • 중첩격자계와 접합격자계를 이용한 적응격자 기법이 개발되었다. 유동장은 물체와 근접한 영역과 떨어진 영역으로 구분된다. 근접한 영역은 곡선 격자계로 채워지며 중첩격자기법으로 영역이 연결되고 떨어진 영역은 다양한 적응 단계를 가진 직교 격자계로 채워지며 접합격자기법으로 연결된다. 본 적응격자기법은 격자생성에 있어서의 유연성과 효과적인 격자적응 기능을 보여준다. 2차원 스토어 분리 해석을 포함하는 몇 가지 수치해석을 통해 본 적응격자기법의 성능을 검증하였다.

융합 시대의 임상실습 교육환경, 임상실습관련 무력감, 현장실습적응, 간호전문직관이 돌봄효능감에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Clinical Learning Environment, Clinical Practice Powerlessness, Field Practice Adaptation, and Nursing Professionalism on Caring Efficacy in Convergence Era)

  • 본 연구는 간호학과 4학년을 대상으로 돌봄효능감에 미치는 영향을 파악하고자 시도되었다. G도 J대학 간호학과 173명을 자료수집 하였다. IBM SPSS WIN/25.0을 이용하여 t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, Multiple regression을 사용하였다. 돌봄효능감은 임상실습 교육환경(r=.42, p<.001), 현장실습적응(r=.53, p<.001), 간호전문직관(r=.42, p<.001)과 상관관계, 임상실습관련 무력감(r=-46, p<.001)과 역상관관계가 있었다. 대상자의 돌봄효능감에 가장 영향을 미치는 요인은 현장실습적응(β=.330, p<.001), 그 다음으로, 간호전문직관(β=.188, p=.005), 임상실습 교육환경(β=.176, p=.015), 내성적(β=-.146, p=.018), 외향적(β=.134, p=.035) 순이었다. 설명력은 41.8%이었다. 본 연구결과를 토대로 돌봄효능감 향상을 위한 체계적인 간호교육 프로그램이 필요하며, 돌봄효능감 프로그램 개발에 도움이 되는 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to identify the effects of a standardized educational program to improve nursing competency on newly graduated nurses in a children's hospital after developing and applying a pediatric nurse education program. The effectiveness of the program was confirmed by evaluating the clinical competency and field adaptation. Methods: In the first step, an education program was developed using the analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation (ADDIE) model. As a second step, a similar experimental study of a single group repeat measures design was conducted to evaluate the clinical competency and field adaptation over time after application of the program. Additionally, a focus group interviews were conducted to collect subjective data on the effects and improvement points of the program. Results: As a result of applying the program, there was a significant change in the clinical competence and the field adaptation of newly graduated nurses in a children's hospital. The categories derived from the focus group interviews were "getting special guidance," "better care," "becoming a nurse at a children's hospital" and "winning together." Conclusion: It was confirmed that the education program enhances the clinical competency of new nurses in children's hospitals. In addition, it provided the necessary data to understand the experiences of new nurses, help them adapt effectively, and establish appropriate interventions.

치위생(학)과 신입생의 긍정심리자본과 대학생활 적응과의 관련성에 대한 융합적 연구 (Convergent Relationship between of Positive Psychological Capital on College Life Adaptation in Freshmen of Dental Hygiene Department)

  • 본 연구는 부산, 울산, 대구광역시 지역의 대학교 치위생(학)과에 재학중인 신입생을 대상으로 긍정심리자본이 대학생활적응과의 관련성을 파악하고자 조사를 실시하였다. 주요변인들의 결과 희망, 복원력, 낙관주의, 자기효능감, 학업적응, 사회적응, 개인정서적응, 대학환경적응의 요인에서 모두 정적 상관을 가지고 있어 유의미한 결과를 나타내었다. 긍정심리자본이 대학생활적응에 미치는 영향 요인 중 학업적응과 사회적응은 낙관주의(p<0.001)와 자기효능감(p<0.001)에서 유의한 차이가 있었고, 개인정서적응과 대학환경적응은 낙관주의(p<0.001)에서 유의한 차이가 있었다. 따라서 긍정심리자본을 향상시킬 있는 중재 프로그램이 개발하여 체계적으로 교육현장에 적용해야 할 것이다.

  • 본 연구 목적은 대학생의 대학적응, 인성, 의사소통능력, 대인관계 유능성이 현장실습적응에 미치는 영향을 분석하기 위해 시행하였다. G도의 J시와 C시에 소재한 대학교 간호대학생과 의과대학생 231명을 대상으로 하였으며, SPSS/WIN 20.0를 이용하여 Baron & Kenny의 3단계 절차를 이용한 다중회귀분석과 Sobel test를 이용한 매개효과의 유의성을 검증하였다. 현장실습적응에 직접적인 영향은 대학적응(${\beta}=.22$, p=.003)과 대인관계 유능성(${\beta}=.38$, p<.001)이었으며, 인성과 의사소통능력은 현장실습적응에 직접적인 영향을 미치는 효과(${\beta}=.02$, p=.740), (${\beta}=.04$, p=.590)는 유의하지 않았으나 대인관계 유능성을 통한 간접효과가 유의하였다(${\beta}=.15$, p=.004), (${\beta}=.19$, p=.011). 인성과 의사소통능력이 대인관계 유능성을 매개로 현장실습적응에 영향을 미치는 요인이므로, 대학에서 바람직한 인성교육과 의사소통능력, 대인관계 향상을 위한 훈련프로그램 마련이 중요하다.

초등학교 보건교사의 역할적응 과정: 자기자리 만들어 가기 (Role Adaptation Process of Elementary School Health Teachers: Establishing Their Own Positions)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to explore and identify patterns from the phenomenon of the role adaptation process in elementary school health teachers and finally, suggest a model to describe the process. Methods: Grounded theory methodology and focus group interviews were used. Data were collected from 24 participants of four focus groups. The questions used were about their experience of role adaptation including situational contexts and interactional coping strategies. Transcribed data and field notes were analyzed with continuous comparative analysis. Results: The core category was 'establishing their own positions', an interactional coping strategy. The phenomenon identified by participants was confusion and wandering in their role performance. Influencing contexts were unclear beliefs for their role as health teachers and non-supportive job environments. The result of the adaptation process was consolidation of their positions. Pride as health teachers and social recognition and supports intervened to produce that result. The process had three stages; entry, growth, and maturity. Conclusion: The role adaptation process of elementary school health teachers can be explained as establishing, strengthening and consolidating their own positions. Results of this study can be used as fundamental information for developing programs to support the role adaptation of health teachers.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to explore and identify the role adaptation processes of family caregivers with patients transferred from intensive care unit to general ward. Methods: Using a grounded theory methodology, in-depth individual interviews were conducted. Data were collected from 11 participants. The participants were asked about their experiences of role adaptation considering situational contexts and interactional strategies. Transcribed data and field notes were analyzed using constant comparative analysis. Results: The core category was 'becoming almost a nurse with hope and fear'. The identified phenomena by the participants were the joy of being alive, having hope for a full recovery, anxiety and fear of uncertain future, feeling burdensome on a given role. The results included both role adaptation and mal-adaptation of caregivers. Conclusion: The role adaptation processes of family caregiver with patients transferred from intensive care unit to general ward can be explained as becoming almost a nurse with hope and fear. The findings of the study provided fundamental information for developing programs to support the given family caregivers for successful role adaptation.

최고 간호관리자의 역할적응과정 (The Role Adaptation Process of The Executive Director of Nursing Department)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the role adaptation process experienced by executive directors of nursing department of general hospitals. Methods: Data were collected from 9 executive nursing directors though in-depth interviews about their experiences. The main question was "How do you describe your experience of the process of role adaptation as an executive nursing director?" Qualitative data from field and transcribed notes were analyzed using Strauss & Corbin's grounded theory methodology. Results: The core category of experience of the process of role adaptation as an executive nursing director was identified as "entering the center with pushing and pulling". The participants used five interactional strategies; 'maintaining modest attitudes', 'inquiring about trends of popular feeling', 'making each person a faithful follower', 'collecting & displaying power', 'leading with initiative'. The consequences of role adaptation in executive nursing directors were 'coexisting with others', 'immersing in one's new role with dedication', and 'having capacity for high tolerance'. The types of role adaptations of executive directors in nursing department were friendly type, propulsive type, accommodating type. Conclusion: The results of this study produced useful information for executive nursing directors on designing a self-managerial program to enhance role adaptation based on interactional strategies.

간호사에서 교수로의 역할적응 경험 (Experience of Role Adaptation from Nurse to Member of the Nursing Faculty)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this qualitative study was to evaluate the experience of role adaptation from nurse to member of the nursing faculty. Methods: Data were collected from 13 members of a nursing faculty through in-depth interviews. The main question asked was "Could you describe your experience from being a nurse to becoming a member of the nursing faculty?" Qualitative data from the field and transcribed notes were analyzed using Strauss and Corbin's grounded theory methodology. Results: The core experiential category of role adaptation from nurse to member of the nursing faculty was 'striving for survival from culture shock'. The participants used the following three interactional strategies: 'recognizing everything and entering the school environment', 'self-reflection on being a professor and integration of experiences', and 'finding a way of adapting'. Conclusion: The participants tried to adapt to life as a professor and reflected on and integrated their experiences into their new life on the faculty. College faculty need to understand the impact of changes and challenges faced by new professors during role adaptation and to support this adaptation through mentorship and organized orientation programs.
