궤환형 부가정보를 사용하는 PTS 기법의 PAPR 감소 (PAPR Reduction using Partial Transmit Sequences with Side Information of feedback Type)

  • OFDM은 무선 환경에서 고속 data 전송에 적합한 방식이다. 그러나 높은 peak-to-average power ratio(PAPR)로 인하여 비선형 왜곡의 문제점이 있다. 여러가지 PAPR 저감 방법 중에 partial transmit sequences(PTS)는 매우 유연하고 스페트럼 왜형이 발생하지 않는 좋은 방식으로 평가된다. 이 방법의 문제점은 최적화된 phase factor를 side information으로서 수신기에 전송해야만 data를 정확히 복원할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 기존 PTS 방식에서 feedback type으로 side information을 부가하는 기법을 새롭게 제안한다. Simulation 결과를 통해 제안 방식이 종전의 PTS와 동일한 PAPR 저감 성능을 가지면서 정확하게 data를 복원하여 요구 BER을 확보할 수 있다. 또한, 제안 방식은 전송 채널 특성 변화에 무관하며, 간단히 시스템을 구성할 수 있다.

집중력 회복을 위한 감각 모달리티 별 피드백에 대한 연구 (A research on feedback effect according to different sensory modality for attention recovery)

  • 한정된 주의력 자원을 회복시키기 위한 방법 중 피드백이 효과가 있는 것으로 보고되고 있다. 그러나 피드백의 구체적 내용에 대한 집중력 회복의 연구는 미미하다. 본 연구는 집중력을 회복할 수 있는 감각적 자극 중 정서적 피드백 간의 효과 차이를 분석 하였다. 집중력을 평가하기위한 온라인 실험 시스템을 구축하고 시각, 청각, 촉각 피드백 자극을 제시하여 각각의 감각자극과 집중력 회복의 효과를 분석 하였다. 실험 참여자의 감각 피드백의 선호도에 따른 영향 요인을 알아보기 위하여 실험 후 주관적 설문을 실시하였다. 감각 피드백을 6명의 대학원생에게 일주일에 걸쳐 반복적으로 약200개의 자극을 제시하고 5회 이상 실험을 통하여 얻어진 30회 결과를 분석하였다. 결과적으로 피드백 효과가 집중력 회복에 통계적 유의함을 알 수 있었다.

Hybrid PD-Servo State Feedback Control Algorithm for Swing up Inverted Pendulum System

  • In this paper, a hybrid PD-servo state feedback control algorithm for swing up inverted pendulum system is proposed. It consists of two parts. The first part is the PD position control for swinging up the pendulum from the natural pendent position to around the upright position and the second part is the servo state feedback control for stabilizing the inverted pendulum in upright position. The first controller is PD controller and it is tuned to control the position of the pendulum by moving the cart back and forth until the pendulum swings up around the upright position. Then the second controller will be switched to stabilize the inverted pendulum in its upright position. The controller in this stage is the servo state feedback controller designed by pole placement. Experimental results of PD type swinging up control system, of stabilizing servo state feedback control system and of the proposed hybrid PD-servo state feedback control system to swing up and stabilize inverted pendulum show that the proposed method is effective and reliable for actual implementation while it is simple.

강인한 궤환 제어 시스템을 위한 반복 제어기의 설계 (Repetitive Controller Design for a Robust Feedback Control System)

  • Given a periodic reference signal or disturbance, repetitive control is a special control scheme to reduce a tracking error effectively by the periodic signal generator in the repetitive controller. In general, a repetitive controller is added on the existing feedback control system to improve the tracking performance. However, because the information used in the design of the feedback controller is not taken into account, the design problem of the repetitive controller is totally another problem irrespective of that of the feedback controller. In this paper, we present a more general method to design an add-on type repetitive controller using the information on the performance of the existing feedback control system. We first show that a robust stability condition of repetitive control systems is obtained using the well-known robust performance condition of general feedback control systems. It is also shown that we can obtain a steady-state tracking error described in a simple form without time-delay element if the robust stability condition is satisfied for the repetitive control system. From the obtained results, several design criterions for repetitive controller are provided. Through the simulation study, the feasibility of the proposed method is verified.

  • A teacher's talk does not make a simple delivery of information. It reflects the role of the teacher, since the language used by a teacher intervenes in a crucial way in the complex mechanisms that underlie teaching and learning of foreign languages. In this sense, the ways in which teachers give feedback have an impact on the process, not only of learning, but also of teaching. The important role of emotional factors in learning has resonated strongly in the intuition of many second and foreign language teachers. As a result, over the past three decades, research on foreign language acquisition has confirmed the hypothesis that language learning is enhanced by rapport between teacher and student. This study analyses the positive feedback given by native Spanish teachers in the context of university classes in Korea. The positive words from a language teacher are related to forming emotional factors such as motivation, attitude, interest, self-confidence, self-esteem, anxiety, and empathy, which directly influence in the acquisition of Spanish. 35 hours of oral practical classes taught by three native teachers of Colombian, Spanish and Mexican nationality were examined. According to the result, almost all the correct answers from students were corresponded with some type of positive feedback. The most frequent strategies are making a compliment, an approval, a repetition, and laughter or non-verbal cues. It is interesting to observe that teachers don't use only a single strategy to provide positive feedback, but instead combine multiple ways to enrich the positiveness of the feedback.

학습피드백으로서 보상과 처벌 관련 두뇌 활성화 연구 (Learning-associated Reward and Penalty in Feedback Learning: an fMRI activation study)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 학습상황에서 피드백으로 주어지는 금전적 획득/손실(학습 피드백)과 비학습적 상황에서 우연히 제시되는 의사 피드백(무선 피드백)을 비교하는 방법을 사용하여, 금전적 보상과 처벌의 학습 피드백으로서만 가지는 정보처리에 어느 두뇌 영역이 관여하는지를 규명하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 정상 성인(n = 22)을 대상으로 fMRI scan 동안 단서 자극에 대한 범주 버튼 반응(좌/우)의 정확 여부에 따라 피드백이 제시되는 시행(학습시행)과 단서 자극의 위치판단 반응과 무관하게 피드백이 제시되는 시행(무선시행)을 사건 관련 fMRI 방략으로 제시하였다. 두 시행 간 보상과 처벌과 같은 동기적 사건에 대한 두뇌 반응이 변별적으로 나타나는지를 알아보기 위해 시행 유형(학습 vs. 무선)과 피드백 유형(보상 vs, 처벌)을 두 독립변인으로 한 반복측정 이원분산분석을 하였다(voxel-wise FWE p < .001). 그 결과, 좌측 배외측 전두피질(dorsolateral prefrontal cortex), 좌측 전측 도(anterior insular), 배내측 전두피질(dorsomedial prefrontal cortex) 등의 영역에서 유의한 상호작용 효과가 관찰되었는데, 이들 영역은 모두 학습-보상 피드백 및 무선-처벌 피드백보다 학습-처벌 피드백에 대해 증가한 두뇌 활성을 보였다. 본 연구 결과는 학습상황에서 주어지는 처벌 피드백에 대한 기존 전략의 변경이나 재평가를 위한 집행적 처리, 적절하지 못하거나 틀린 행동에 대한 오류처리 과정 그리고 실패 경험에 대한 부정적 정서처리가 위에서 언급한 피질신경망을 중심으로 이루어질 가능성을 보여준다. 따라서 학습의 처벌 피드백은 보상과 달리 위와 같은 추가적 정보처리 과정이 존재할 가능성을 시사한다.

A Study on Visual Feedback Control of Industrial Articulated Robot

  • This paper proposes a new approach to the designed of visual feedback control system based on visual servoing method. The main focus of this paper is presented how it is effective to use many features for improving the accuracy of the visual feedback control of industrial articulated robot for assembling and inspection of parts. Some rank conditions, which relate the image Jacobian, and the control performance are derived. It is also proven that the accuracy is improved by increasing the number of features. The effectiveness of redundant features is verified by the real time experiments on a SCARA type robot(FARA) made in samsung electronics company.

Average Current Mode Control for LLC Series Resonant DC-to-DC Converters

  • An average current mode control scheme that consistently offers good dynamic performance for LLC series resonant DC-to-DC converters irrespective of the changes in the operational conditions is presented in this paper. The proposed control scheme employs current feedback from the resonant tank circuit through an integrator-type compensation amplifier to improve the dynamic performance and enhance the noise immunity and reliability of the feedback controller. Design guidelines are provided for both current feedback and voltage feedback compensation. The performance of the new control scheme is demonstrated through an experimental 150 W converter operating with 340 V to 390 V input voltage to provide a 24 V output voltage.

Receding Horizon Finite Memory Controls for Output Feedback Controls of Discrete-Time State Space Models

  • In this paper, a new type of output feedback control, called a receding horizon finite memory control (RHFMC), is proposed for stochastic discrete-time state space systems. Constraints such as linearity and finite memory structure with respect to an input and an output, and unbiasedness from the optimal state feedback control are required in advance. The proposed RHFMC is chosen to minimize an optimal criterion with these constraints. The RHFMC is obtained in an explicit closed form using the output and input information on the recent time interval. It is shown that the RHFMC consists of a receding horizon control and an FIR filter. The stability of the RHFMC is investigated for stochastic systems.

EFFECT OF NEGATIVE FEEDBACK LOOP WITH NRF1 AND MIR-378 OF NONALCOHOLIC FATTY LIVER DISEASE: A MATHEMATICAL MODELING APPROACH

  • Nonalcoholic fatty liver is a type of fatty liver in which fat accumulates in the liver without alcohol. In the accumulation, Nrf1 and miR-378 genes play very important role, so called negative feedback loop, in which the two genes suppress the other's production. In other words, Nrf1 activates fatty acid oxidation which promotes fat consumption in the liver, while miR-378 deactivates fatty acid oxidation. Thus, both genes regulate nonalcoholic fatty liver. In this paper, the negative feedback loop of Nrf1 and miR-378 are expressed by a system of ordinary differential equations. And, bifurcation simulation shows the change in the amount of each gene with significant parameter range changes. Bifurcation simulation has also used to determine the thresholds for transit between disease and steady state.
