The Analysis of Advertisement Effect in Smart Phone Environment : The Comparison of Users with Providers of Commercial (스마트폰 환경에서의 광고효과 분석 : 광고 사용자와 광고 제공자의 인식차이 비교)

  • Various applications are developed with the extension of the smart phone market. This affects the change of contents and market for mobile advertisement. Mobile advertisement has been changed from the text type in feature phone environment to banner type which are added on the applications and branded app which are application itself for commercials. This research shows the difference in views between users and professions for the factors which affects the acceptance of mobile advertisement in smart phone environment. The analysis results present two groups have significant differences in the views for the users' acceptances of mobile advertisement. This research provides the important factors which need to be considers in creating mobile commercials. It also suggests that professions in advertisement field have to consider the aspects of smart phone users when they create advertisements in smart phone environment.

  • As the development of mobile devices, mobile phones are equipped with many features. Video-call feature is one of them. In this paper, we present distance measurement between speaker and smart-phone using multiple color spaces and multiple thresholds. first, detect face based on skin color information. and second, measure distance between speaker and smart-phone using the detected face region. Especially, the first considering point in the development of face area detection is real-time processing and the second point is robustness to solve the problems of face detection errors due to rapid change of object movement, lighting and background between adjacent frames.

  • A smartphone is a mobile phone that offers more advanced computing ability and connectivity than a contemporary basic feature phone. Unlike feature phone, a smartphone allows the user to install and run more advanced applications based on a specific platform. Smartphones run complete operating system software providing a platform for application developers. A smartphone will become the default computing method for many point activities in the not-too-distant future, such as e-mail, online shopping, gaming, and even video entertainment. For smartphone that contains sensitive information and access the Internet, security is a major issue. In the 1980s, security issues were hardly noticed; however, security is a major issue for users today, which includes smart phones. Because security is much more difficult to address once deployment and implementation are underway, it should be considered from the beginning. Recently our government recognized the importance of smartphone security and published several safety tips for using the smartphone. However, theses tips are user-oriented measures. Maintaining the security of a smartphone involves the active participation of the user. Although it is a important users understand and take full advantage of the facilities afforded by smarphone, it is more important developers distribute the secure smartphone application through the market. In this paper we describe some scenarios in which user is invaded his/her privacy by smartphone stolen, lost, misplaced or infected with virus. Then we suggest the security considerations for securing smartphone applications in respect with developers. We also suggest the methods applying domestic encryption algorithms such as SEED, HIGHT and ARIA in developing secure applications. This suggested security considerations may be used by developers as well as users (especially organizations) interested in enhancing security to related security incidents for current and future use of smartphones.

Study on 3 DoF Image and Video Stitching Using Sensed Data

  • This paper proposes a method to generate panoramic images by combining conventional feature extraction algorithms (e.g., SIFT, SURF, MPEG-7 CDVS) with sensed data from inertia sensors to enhance the stitching results. The challenge of image stitching increases when the images are taken from two different mobile phones with no posture calibration. Using inertia sensor data obtained by the mobile phone, images with different yaw, pitch, and roll angles are preprocessed and adjusted before performing stitching process. Performance of stitching (e.g., feature extraction time, inlier point numbers, stitching accuracy) between conventional feature extraction algorithms is reported along with the stitching performance with/without using the inertia sensor data. In addition, the stitching accuracy of video data was improved using the same sensed data, with discrete calculation of homograph matrix. The experimental results for stitching accuracies and speed using sensed data are presented in this paper.

  • In this paper, we proposed ACM (Anti-filler confidence measure) to compensate shortcoming of conventional RLJ-CM (RLJ-CM) and NCM (normalized CM), and integrated proposed ACM and conventional NCM using HCM (hybrid CM). Proposed ACM analyzes that FA (false acceptance) happens by the construction method of anti-phone model, and presumed phoneme sequence in actuality using phoneme recognizer to compensate this. We defined this as anti-phone model and used in confidence measure calculation. Analyzing feature of two confidences measure, conventional NCM shows good performance to FR (false rejection) and proposed ACM shows good performance in FA. This shows that feature of each other are complementary. Use these feature, we integrated two confidence measures using weighting vector α And defined this as HCM. In MDR (missed detection rate) 10% neighborhood, HCM is 0.219 FA/KW/HR (false alarm/keyword/hour). This is that Performance improves 22% than used conventional NCM individually.

  • In this paper, we propose an emotion recognition system that can discriminate human emotional state into neutral or anger from the speech captured by a cellular-phone in real time. In general. the speech through the mobile network contains environment noise and network noise, thus it can causes serious System performance degradation due to the distortion in emotional features of the query speech. In order to minimize the effect of these noise and so improve the system performance, we adopt a simple MA (Moving Average) filter which has relatively simple structure and low computational complexity, to alleviate the distortion in the emotional feature vector. Then a SFS (Sequential Forward Selection) feature optimization method is implemented to further improve and stabilize the system performance. Two pattern recognition method such as k-NN and SVM is compared for emotional state classification. The experimental results indicate that the proposed method provides very stable and successful emotional classification performance such as 86.5%. so that it will be very useful in application areas such as customer call-center.

  • At present, with the rise of smart-phone market supported the Wi-Fi, smart-phone based network content has propagated rapidly. But, network content service is difficult in feature phone and multimedia device not supporting the Wi-Fi or supporting only the bluetooth. This paper was used the zigbee technology supporting low power, low cost, availability, multi channel, broadcasting compared to the bluetooth or Wi-Fi. It will provide a variable network game development by utilizing the zigbee technology. Also, it is provide the development of variable mobile network contents using the zigbee.

  • In this paper, a new visual telephone system which has a differential task interrupt transfer feature for real time video phone service is presented. Owing to the result of Interrupt transfer of different speed according to the time critical degree of tasks, the flow of audio and video data stream can be kept as constant speed in other word that means video phone services are carried out in real time. The ITU-T H.32x visual telephone recommendations are first analyzed, and the unsatisfactory items of existing systems are second inquired the cause, such as performance, quality. And then the design concept and ideas which enable it to solve them are third devised, the next, the new architecture of visual telephone system for real time video phone source are designed, which make it possible to solve the existing problems by means of different tasks interrupt transfer method.

  • Due to the fast development in information technology, mobile devices such as cellular phone and PDA are increasingly being used in information transmission. Also in GIS area, have many attempts been introduced for communicating geographic information. However, one of the problems found in current applications is that each of them is developed for a specific platform. A solution to this problem is sought using the XML, which is designed to transfer structured information through the Web regardless of any platform. GML is based on XML technology and is platform-free document for geographic feature. GML can be visualized using client plug-in's such as SVG. This study suggests a framework for developing a mobile-GIS web service using GML and shows how it can be implemented on a cellular phone emulator.

  • In this paper a design procedure via computer-aided molding simulation is presented to optimize the air-trap locations in a speaker encloser of mobile phone. The molding flow simulation reveals that the race-tracking phenomenon is the dominant feature in the current mold design. In obtaining an optimal filling pattern, the local modifications of the wall thickness such as in a flow leader attachment are considered as the primary control factor, and both the gate position and the filling time become the secondary control factor. In the one-at-a-time approach, the last location to be filled in the mold cavity could be successfully moved to the extremities of the part, allowing a natural ventilation of entrapped air through the mold parting plane.
