영상데이타를 이용한 항공기 자세각 추정 (Attitude Estimation of an Aircraft using Image Data)

  • This paper presents the algorithm for attitude determination of an aircraft using binary image. An image feature vector, which is invariant to translation, scale and rotation, is constructed to capture the functional relations between the feature vector and the corresponding aircraft attitude. An iterated least squares method is suggested for estimating the attitude of given aircraft using the constructed feature vector library. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm yields good estimates of aircraft attitude in most viewing range, although a relatively large error occurs in some limited viewing direction.

미국학교도서관기준에 나타난 SLMP의 교육적 이념 (The Educational Idea Presenting In the SLMP's Standards)

  • In the modern communicative age, the standards of the school libraries are the qualitative guarantee on the services of school libraries or school library media programs, as the guidline, the active guide, the policy documentation and criteria for the professional excellence. The standards of SLMP were revised the sixth time by the school library profession(ALA) with the members or agency of NEA in the U.S. There are the first standard was a quantitative; 'the Certain Report'(by A.L.A., 1920) appearing that the school library is the heart of the school, 2nd 1925; turning up the teaching material source and personel, 'School Libraries for today and tomorrow' (by AASL, 1945) incluseing the instructional materials and the 7th educational ideas in the quantitative feature, 'Standards for School Library Programs' (by AASL, 1960) expressing the instructional material center, communicative environment, learning and teaching laboratory, 'Standards for school media programs' (by DAVI & AASL, 1969) implicating the instructional resource, learning and teaching laboratory, the condition precedent of qualitative education for excellence, 'Standards for media programs; District/school (by AASL & AECT, 1975) containing the improving user's educational experience and personal freedom on the use of SLMP's services. Through changing the standards of SLMP in the US, We have known that the main educational idea in the standards are; (1) SLMP is the instructional force and resource for qualitative, excellence education by learning and teaching laboratory, instructional resource, communicative environment (2) SLMP is the actualizing force and resource for user's self-realization by intellectual and personal excellence, individualizing, humanizing and personalizing education.

탐색과 디스커버리 기능 평가 연구 - 공공도서관 OPAC과 인터넷 서점을 중심으로 - (Evaluating and Comparing the Search & Discovery Features: Focusing on the Public Libraries OPACs and the Internet Bookstores)

  • 디스커버리는 차세대 도서관 목록과 더불어 도서관 자원의 탐색 기능을 향상하기 위해 대두된 개념이다. 이 논문에서는 정보탐색행태 관점에서 디스커버리 기능을 정의하고, 그 기능을 구성하는 요소를 도출한 후, 공공도서관을 대표하는 11개의 지역대표도서관의 온라인 목록과 3개의 인터넷 서점을 대상으로 탐색과 디스커버리 기능을 평가하여 비교하였다. 평가 결과, 디스커버리를 구성하는 모든 기능에서 인터넷 서점이 도서관 온라인 목록에 비해 우수한 것으로 나타났다. 이를 통해 공공도서관 온라인 목록은 여전히 알고 있는 자료 탐색에 집중하고 있으며, 이용자는 디스커버리 기능을 통해 얻을 수 있는 우연한 발견의 기회를 갖기 어렵다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

국내 도서관의 소셜네트워크서비스 실태조사 (A Study on the Using of Social Network Services of Libraries in Korea)

  • 이 연구는 국내 도서관에서 소셜네트워크서비스를 적용하고 있는 사례를 조사하여, 관종별 도서관에 사용된 소셜네트워크서비스의 종류 및 도입현황을 살펴보고, 관종별 사용하는 소셜네트워크서비스의 특징과 차이점 등을 분석하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 첫째, 국내의 4개 관종의 도서관을 대상으로 2010년부터 2012년까지 도서관 평가에서 우수 도서관 목록을 추출하였다. 둘째, 추출된 32개의 대학도서관과 41개의 공공도서관, 40개의 학교도서관, 9개의 전문도서관의 홈페이지 및 기관 사이트를 조사하였다. 셋째, 조사된 결과를 바탕으로 소셜네트워크서비스의 활용에 대한 기본 데이터를 분석하고, 관종별 소셜네트워크서비스가 사용된 특성 및 차이점을 분석하였다. 넷째, 그 결과를 기초로 관종별 소셜네트워크서비스의 적용할 부분과 향후 발전방향을 제언하였다.

Feature Selection to Mine Joint Features from High-dimension Space for Android Malware Detection

  • Android is now the most popular smartphone platform and remains rapid growth. There are huge number of sensitive privacy information stored in Android devices. Kinds of methods have been proposed to detect Android malicious applications and protect the privacy information. In this work, we focus on extracting the fine-grained features to maximize the information of Android malware detection, and selecting the least joint features to minimize the number of features. Firstly, permissions and APIs, not only from Android permissions and SDK APIs but also from the developer-defined permissions and third-party library APIs, are extracted as features from the decompiled source codes. Secondly, feature selection methods, including information gain (IG), regularization and particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithms, are used to analyze and utilize the correlation between the features to eliminate the redundant data, reduce the feature dimension and mine the useful joint features. Furthermore, regularization and PSO are integrated to create a new joint feature mining method. Experiment results show that the joint feature mining method can utilize the advantages of regularization and PSO, and ensure good performance and efficiency for Android malware detection.

얼굴 특징 검출 알고리즘의 하드웨어 설계 (Hardware Implementation of Facial Feature Detection Algorithm)

  • 본 논문에서는 기존에 얼굴 검출에 사용된 ICT(Improved Census Transform) 변환을 이용하여 눈, 코, 입 등의 얼굴 특징을 검출하는 하드웨어를 설계하였다. 파이프라인 구조를 이용하여 동작 속도를 높였고, ICT 변환, 메모리 공유, 동작 과정의 세분화를 통하여 메모리 사용량을 줄였다. 본 논문에서 사용한 알고리즘을 얼굴 검출 및 인식 분야에서 테스트용으로 주로 쓰이는 BioID 데이터베이스(database)를 이용하여 테스트한 결과 100%의 검출률을 보였고, 설계한 하드웨어의 결과도 이와 동일하였다. 또한 Synopsys사의 Design Compiler와 동부아남사의 $0.18{\mu}m$ library를 이용하여 합성한 결과 총 $376,821{\mu}m2$의 결과를 얻었고 78MHz의 동작 클럭 하에서 17.1msec의 검출 속도를 보였다. 본 논문은 소프트웨어 형태의 알고리즘을 임베디드 하드웨어로 구현함으로 인하여 실시간 처리의 가능성을 보였고, 저가격, 높은 이식성에 대한 가능성을 제시하였다.

사출금형 몰드베이스와 몰드 금형 부품의 3차원 CAD라이브러리 구축에 관한 연구 (A Study on Implementation of 3D CAD Library for Injection Mold Base and Mold Components)

  • Mold base design is one of the most critical steps in production of plastic parts. This paper presents an efficient method for generating a 3D CAD library for injection mold base and mold components. In this paper, a new description language (DL)formats are proposed. These DL formats can represent the geometric feature, the variable dimensions and the assembly structures of mold base and its components. And the processes of adding the mold components and creating the mold assemblies can be performed very easily and efficiently by using DL scripts. Proposed method has been tested by implementation of 3D library with DL scripts and DL-interpreter with C language. The DL and interpreter are independent of CAD system. They were applied to the automatic mold base designing system which works on Unigraphics V15. The system is developed with UG API function under Windows-NT environment.

공공도서관 디지털서비스의 현황분석 (An Overview and Analysis of Digital Services in Public Libraries)

  • 본고는 우리나라 공공도서관 전산화 과정의 현황을 분석하고, 홈페이지를 통한 디지털서비스의 몇 가지 문제점들을 검토하였다. 검토결과 디지털서비스의 기술수준은 매우 우수하지만, 지역간 격차가 심한 것으로 지적되었다. 본고는 지역특성에 근거한 특성화된 자원개발을 인터넷시대 공공도서관 디지털서비스의 생존전략으로 강조하였다.

Implications of Five Laws of Library Science on Dr. S. R. Ranganathan's Colon Classification: An Explorative Study

  • There have been several milestones in the history of library classification but most of the schemes failed to meet the new challenges in the organisation of information. Dr. S. R. Ranganathan tried to revolutionise the whole thinking on classificatory approach, when he devised the Colon Classification (CC) in 1933. He developed the Colon Classification scheme with a sound theoretical background based on normative principles, Five laws of Library science, canons, etc. One important feature of CC is that, its use is not confined to information storage and retrieval alone. This paper presents an over view of different editions of the CC highlighting the salient features of the editions. Further the implication of Five Laws of Library Science has been described. The authors stressed that the features of such as greater hospitality, specificity and mixed notation has paved the way to design and develop the depth schedules on various micro level subjects and so far about 130 micro schedules have been published. The impressions by the leading LIS professionals during and after Ranganathan's time have been highlighted. The authors expressed the fear that when the library world would see the complete version of the seventh edition of CC? It may be due to lack of institutional support engaging in the research or financial constraints. The authors are of the opinion that any scheme to flourish needs a sound research body to bring out the revised editions as done in the case of Dewey Decimal Classification. The relevance of the CC in the contemporary world of Librarianship is discussed. Finally concludes that CC needs to be resuscitated as it is a precious national heritage; and still a force for the management of libraries.

범용 USB PC 카메라를 이용한 얼굴 특징점의 추적 (Facial Feature Tracking from a General USB PC Camera)

  • In this paper, we describe an real-time facial feature tracker. We only used a general USB PC Camera without a frame grabber. The system has achieved a rate of 8+ frames/second without any low-level library support. It tracks pupils, nostrils and corners of the lip. The signal from USB Camera is YUV 4:2:0 vertical Format. we converted the signal into RGB color model to display the image and We interpolated V channel of the signal to be used for extracting a facial region. and we analysis 2D blob features in the Y channel, the luminance of the image with geometric restriction to locate each facial feature within the detected facial region. Our method is so simple and intuitive that we can make the system work in real-time.
