맞벌이 기혼남녀의 일-가정 갈등이 행복감에 미치는 영향에서 가족건강성의 조절효과 (Moderating Effect of Family Strengths on the Effect of Work-Family Conflict on Happiness in Dual-Income Married Couples)

  • This study aimed to explore the moderating effect of family strengths on the effect of work-family conflict on happiness in dual-income married couples. This study included 316 married employees who live in Seoul and have children attending junior high or lower grade schools. A survey was conducted December 1-30, 2018 by distributing questionnaires to child care centers, kindergartens, schools, companies, religious institutions, and other locations. The results are follows. First, in this study, the degree of family→work conflict was higher than that of work→family conflict in dual-income married couples, indicating that role conflict at work is greater due to family role pressures. Second, among the socio-demographic characteristics of dual-career couples, monthly income, family→work conflict (an independent variable), and family problem-solving skills (a moderating variable; a subcategory of family strengths) had a significant impact. In the analysis of the effect of work-family conflict on happiness, the higher the monthly income, the lower the family→work conflict, and the higher the family problem solving ability, the higher the feeling of happiness among dual-income married couples. When the work role conflicts from family life roles were more highly perceived in dual-income married couples. Moreover, family→work conflict and an interaction term of family problem-solving ability were identified as variables that had significant effects on happiness. Third, family problem-solving ability was identified as a moderator buffering the effect of work-family conflict on happiness.

  • 이 연구는 갈등 관련 유튜브 콘텐츠를 중심으로 유튜브 공간의 특성을 규명하는 데 목적이 있다. 2012년부터 2022년까지 유튜브에 게재된 갈등 관련 콘텐츠를 수집하고 토픽모델링 분석을 통해 주요 내용과 특성을 파악했다. 분석 결과, 갈등 관련 유튜브 콘텐츠는 사회 구조적 갈등에 대한 뉴스 보도와 가족 내 갈등을 다룬 방송 프로그램 위주로 구성되어 있었다. 이러한 결과는 유튜브 공간이 갈등 관련 문제에 대한 공론장으로 활용될 수 있다는 기대보다는 기존 방송 콘텐츠의 수익 창출 수단으로 기능하리라는 우려를 하게 만든다. 앞으로 우리 사회가 유튜브를 어떻게 활용할지에 대한 깊이 있는 논의가 필요한 시점이다.

취업모의 일의 의미와 자녀수반자기가치가 경력몰입에 미치는 영향 - 일·가정 상호관계의 매개효과를 중심으로 - (The Effects of the Meaning of Work and Child-Based Self-Worth on Career Commitment in Working Mothers: Focusing on the Mediation Effect of the Work-Family Interface)

  • The purpose of this study is to resolve the factors that affect happiness levels and l Considering the increasing importance of maintaining and developing the careers of working mothers, this study sought to analyze the effect of the meaning of work (MOW) and child-based self-worth (CBSW) on the work-family interface and career commitment. This is the first exploratory study to examine MOW and CBSW as resources for working mothers. For 10 days, starting August 18, 2020, 309 working mothers were asked to complete a questionnaire commissioned by a professional research institute, and 250 valid samples were then analyzed. The analysis found, first, that MOW had statistically significant positive effects on work-family enrichment and family-work enrichment and a negative effect on work-family conflict. Second, CBSW had a positive effect on work-family and family-work conflicts. Third, work-family enrichment had a positive effect on career commitment, while work-family conflict had a negative effect on career commitment. Finally, the mediation effects of the three paths were determined: MOW→work-family enrichment→career commitment; MOW→family-work enrichment→career commitment; CBSW→work-family conflict→career commitment. These results suggest that, to better manage the career commitment of working mothers, attention should be paid to the MOW, CBSW, and work-family interface.

합리적 농장경영과 원활한 농장승계를 위한 교육·훈련 과정개발을 위한 기초연구 (The Basic Study on development of Education and Training for rational farm management and smooth succession of family farm)

  • This study is to find the causes of the current situations of conflict between generations in regards to succession of their family farm, for the target group of graduates of the year 2008 and their parents. This study also aims at finding a way of controlling and solving the conflicts, and of developing a course of education and training, so that through this process they can come to a rational conclusion to the conflicts that arise regarding succession of the farm, in a climate of harmony and peace. It is found that communication between parents and graduates has normally gone on well, but specific problems related to management of the farm are often present. Furthermore, there is often lack of trust and promise between the parties which often causes difficulties in preparation for the succession of the farm. On the basis of these observation, we have designed and implemented an education workshop and training, as a program in which parents and their successors participated. As a result, we found it to be very effective, but it was also found to be in need of some changes. The workshop is to be implemented in two separate stages. The first stage should focus on communication and trust between family members. Firstly, they are given the opportunity to share the list of concerns withone another, as an ice breaking activity. Secondly, they can present their own hopes or wishes. And lastly, they can communicate with one another in an effort to find resolutions that will be keep both parties satisfied. The second stage should be aimed at establishing agreements concerning succession of the farm in a harmonious and peaceful manor; the second stage is also an opportunity to discuss 'Farm management and succession'. The Korea National Agricultural College (KNAC), as a state college, is in the pursuit of fostering agricultural CEO's for the future of Korea. KNAC is currently implementing a very unique system of interviews in which parents participate together with students, in order to help them make a plan for rational management of their farm and smooth succession of the farm. Although KNAC now has students present a blueprint of their own unique business plans as a graduation thesis, it is necessary for KNAC to complement this system with education and training regarding the succession of family farms. Furthermore, KNAC should also develop an education and training program that is separate for this purpose, and make it a regular course of study of KNAC in the future.

취업모의 일-가정 갈등이 심리적 복지감에 미치는 영향에서 배우자지지 및 일-가정양립지원제도의 조절효과 (The moderating effect of spousal support and support systems for work-family compatibility on work-family conflict and psychological well-being of working mothers)

  • The purpose of this study were to explorer the factors affecting the psychological well-being of working mothers and to investigate the moderating effect of spousal support and support systems for work family compatibility on relationship between work-family conflict and psychological well-being. The subjects were 300 working mothers who are aged under 50, have more than one child live in Seoul. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 21.0. The Results are follows. First, the analysis of work-family conflicts, spousal support and support systems for work-family compatibility, and psychological well-being of working mothers indicated that the working mothers perceived family-work conflict to be higher than work-family conflict. The working mothers received stronger support from support systems intended for work-family compatibility than from their spouses. The score of the psychological well-being of the working mothers was 3.27 (standard deviation = .91), which is higher than median. Second, the factors influencing the working mothers' psychological well-being were age, monthly household income, number of children, work${\rightarrow}$family and family${\rightarrow}$work conflict, and spousal support. Greater psychological well-being was linked to a young maternal age, a high monthly household income, a low number of children, low levels of work${\rightarrow}$family and family${\rightarrow}$work conflict, and strong spousal support. Third, spousal support mediated the relationship between family${\rightarrow}$work conflict and psychological well-being.

미취학 자녀를 둔 취업모의 일-가정 역할갈등, 배우자지지 자원이 양육스트레스에 미치는 영향 (The effect of work-family role conflict and spousal support resources on parenting stress among working mothers with pre-school children)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of work-family conflict and spousal support resources on parenting stress among working mothers with pre-school children. This study involved a total of 232 working mothers with children enrolled in child care centers in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do as conducting a survey. First, the higher the work-family conflict (inter-role conflict caused by the impact of work on family life), the higher the family-work conflict (inter-role conflict caused by the impact of family life on work). Moreover, the lower the level of spousal support resources (emotional spousal support resources, instrumental spousal resources), the higher the work-family conflict and family-work conflict. The level of parenting stress was higher in working mothers experiencing greater work-family conflict and family-work conflict both and lower levels of spousal support resources for parenting. Second, the number of children and the amount of work-family conflict and instrumental spousal support resources had a statistically significant impact on parenting stress. Thus, the higher the number of children, the greater the work-family conflict, and the lower the level of instrumental spousal support resources, the higher the level of parenting stress. The findings of this study highlight the relative effects of role conflicts between work and family and of spousal support resources on parenting stress in working mothers. Husbands' being involved in parenting, in particular, was identified as an important support function for healthy child-rearing by successfully combining career and family responsibilities.

부모의 청소년 자녀에 대한 신체적 폭력실태와 관련요인 - 개인과 가족관련 특성을 중심으로 - (Parental Physical Violence Toward Adolescents in Family - Focused on individual and family characteristics -)

  • The purposes of this study are to measure the prevalence of parental violence toward adolescents and to explore the predictors based on a data gathered from a sample of adolescents. A total of 1,451 adolescents attending middle and high school in Seoul and rural area completed a structured questionnaire. The results show that about 32% of the respondents are physically assaulted by their father and/or mother for the past year. A logistic analysis shows that adolescents are more likely to experience parental violence when their parents have frequent marital conflicts and when parents use violence between themselves than the adolescent whose parents have no frequent spousal conflict and no domestic violence. The results also show that the age of adolescents and the changes in the level of academic achievement are significant predictors of adolescents'experience of parental violence. The probability of experiencing parental violence was lowered as age increased. When adolescent had a significant drop in school achievement, the probability of experiencing parental violence increased. Based on these findings, research and policy implications to reduce and prevent the family violence toward adolescents are discussed.

청소년의 성별로 본 사회화와 생활환경 (Socialization and Envirommental Factors of Adolescents According to the Gender)

  • The effects of environmental factors on adolescent’s socialization were examined according to the gender. Data were drawn from 1,412 adolescents. A hypothesized model was tested for male and female students separately by the links among housing, family conflicts, parent-adolescent relationship, family stress, peer relations, mass media, school atmosphere, consumption, consumer socialization, and adolescent’s socialization. There was no difference between male and female students in the predictability of the effects of environmental factors on internal and external socialization. For male students, the internal socialization was directly related to mass media, consumer socialization, peer relations, family stress, mother-adolescent relations, and school atmosphere. The external socialization was directly related to mass media, school atmosphere, consumer socialization, father-adolescent relations, housing, and mother-adolescent relations. For female students, the internal socialization was directly related to mass media, peer relations, father-adolescent relations, and consumer socialization. The external socialization was directly related to mass media, followed by consumer socialization, mother-adolescent relations, school atmosphere, housing, and peer relations. The findings are consistent with a growing body of literature showing that the environmental factors are related to male & female adolescent’s socialization.

The external socialization was directly rebated to father-adolescent relationship, mother-adolescent relationship, housing, peer relations, school atmosphere, and consumer socialization. Mass media wits the most important factor which could be predicated the adolescent's socialization . The findings are consistent with a growing body of literature showing that the environmental factors are related to the adolescent's socialization.

아버지의 부성경험: 다양한 역할수행의 긴장과 갈등 (Men's fathering experiences focused on tensions and conflict of multiple roles)

  • 본 연구는 기혼 유자녀 맞벌이 남성의 부성역할 수행 경험을 탐색하는 것으로 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 심층면담과 문서를 활용하여 자료를 수집하였으며, 맞벌이 아버지 10명이 연구에 참여하였다. 자료수집은 2012년 9월부터 12월 사이에 이루어졌으며, 수집된 자료는 분석적 귀납에 근거한 지속적 비교분석방법을 사용해 분석하였다. 자료의 분석결과 참여자들은 바람직한 아버지 상에 대한 인식과 실제적인 역할 수행의 불일치, 생계부양자와 돌봄 제공자 역할 수행으로 인한 긴장, 그리고 자녀에 대한 헌신과 직업적 성취욕구 간의 갈등을 경험하고 있었으며, 이러한 갈등은 점진적으로 가족 의사소통과정에서의 소외라는 결과를 가져왔다. 이를 토대로 아버지의 적극적인 가족생활 참여를 지원하기 위한 사회적 인식 제고방안과 함께 가족, 노동시장, 지역사회, 그리고 정부 차원의 다각적인 접근과 제도의 운영을 제안하였다.
