  • In this paper, an integration tool for the factory automation communication is proposed. It can apply to three kinds of Fieldbus, Manufacturing Message Specification and Personal Digital Assistance based systems in the factory environment. This paper focuses on the development of the testing tool and object-oriented design concepts for the synthesis of communication modules from the factory level to the field level. The integration of each communication module in the distributed environment gains importance for the realization of heterogeneous information processing systems.

  • Non-working days owing to climatic factors have been negatively affected in productivity of construction, such as delays of project completion times, decrease productivity of construction. Especially non-working days of steel erection work is about 58 days, it is influenced deleteriously to estimating uncertain construction duration. To solve this problem, Construction Factory(CF) and sliding roof system installed CF's upper side are developed in korea recently. This study is proposed the design of sliding roof system through assess relation of requirements and technical characteristics using Quality Function Deployment(QFD). The basis data for applying QFD is collected from literature reviews and questionnaires/interviews targeting system developer, experts and researchers.

  • 많은 기업들이 소프트웨어 프로세스 개선을 위해 SPICE와 CMMI와 같은 소프트웨어 프로세스 모델 및 표준을 도입하고 있다. SPICE를 도입하고 추진하고 과정 속에서 경험은 중요한 역할을 한다. 특히 경험은 프로젝트 참여자들로 하여금 불확실한 상황에서 좀 더 나은 대안을 선택하게 해준다. 과거의 경험을 활용하기 위해서는 경험을 수집하고 분석하고 저장한 후에 활용하기 위한 시스템을 갖추어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 SPICE 경험을 국적하고 활용할 수 있는 SEF(SPICE Experience Factory) 모델을 제안한다. SPICE 심사 결과를 수집하여 루트워드를 사용하여 분석한 후 데이터베이스에 저장하여 웹기반 툴로 개발하였다.

An Experimental Study on the Flow Characteristics of a Swirl-Jet Diffuser (공장환기용 선회 제트 디퓨저의 유동 특성에 관한 실험 연구)

  • An experimental study is performed on the flow characteristics of a swirl-jet diffuser for factory ventilation. Swirl number ranges from 0(nonswirl jet) to 0.6 when the angle of swirl vane is 60 degree. As swirl becomes strong, the maximum velocity in the plane perpendicular to jet axis decreases fast and the uniformity of velocity becomes good, particularly in the ventilated area. The similarity in velocity profiles has been found for axial velocity from even when swirl number equals 0.6. The flow characteristics of the swirl-jet which has the swirl number of 0.6 is thought to be the best among these three swirl numbers for factory ventilation. However, the pressure drop in the diffuser increases as the swirl becomes strong. This should be considered in the design of the total ventilation system including a duct system.

  • 최근 제조업의 근로 시간 단축 및 전문 노동력의 감소로 인하여 발생할 수 있는 문제를 개선할 수 있는 스마트 팩토리(Smart Factory)가 주목받고 있다. 스마트 팩토리는 생산품의 불량률을 줄이고, 숙련공 없이 비숙련공만으로 현장 가동이 가능하다는 점 등의 긍정적 효과를 기대할 수 있다. 그러나 스마트 팩토리는 높은 설비 도입 비용, 업무 시스템 재설계 등의 문제점이 등이 있으며, 특히 보안의 취약성이 심각하다. 그렇기 때문에 많은 기업이 현실에서 스마트 팩토리를 도입하는 어려움을 겪고 있다. 본 논문에서는 스마트 팩토리의 다양한 보안 사고를 유형 및 정형화시키고 여러 보안 사고를 유발하는 취약한 부분을 구체화하여 스마트 팩토리의 보안 연구의 방향성을 제시하고자 한다.

  • In this paper we present a 3-DOF manipulator of which task is to unload the product from a micro factory. The micro factory developed by KITECH presses sheet metal to produce a micro valve that is used for micro pump. Our research is focused on the development of a small-sized unloading manipulator which works in the narrow workspace between the dies. We have implemented pick-and-place task with vacuum pressure and 3-DOF motion with stepping motors. We present the design procedures and analysis required in each module.

  • This study proposes a new approach to implimentation of robust control and torque control response analysis based on monitoring simulator for smart factory. According to the physical properties of a flexible manipulator, a two time-scale approach, namely, singular perturbation ap proach, is further utilized for thorough analysis and general controller design. It is shown that asymptotic motional tracking can be effectively achieved, whereas the force regulation errors can be made arbitrarily small. For demonstration of the proposed technology performance, experiments of a eight joint flexible manipulator are performed for the proposed control method, and the reliability of proposed control results are illustrated based on monitoring simulator.

  • In this study, we propose a technological system designed to provide machine vision-based automatic inspection and autonomous operation services for an entire process related to product inspection in wire harness manufacturing. The smart factory paradigm is a valuable and necessary goal, small companies may encounter steep barriers to entry. Therefore, the best approach is to develop towards this approach gradually in stages starting with the relatively simple improvement to manufacturing processes, such as replacing manual quality assurance stages with machine vision-based inspection. In this study, we consider design issues of a system based on the proposed technology and describe an experimental implementation. In addition, we evaluated the implementation of the proposed technology. The test results show that the adoption of the proposed machine vision-based automatic inspection and operation service system for multi-wire harness production may be considered justified, and the effectiveness of the proposed technology was verified.

Development of Vacuum Nozzle Seeder for Cucuribitaceous Seeds(I) - Design factors for vacuum seeding large sized seeds - (박과 종자용 진공노즐식 파종기 개발(I) 대립종자의 진공파종을 위한 요인구명 -)

  • This study was carried out to develop a vacuum nozzle seeder for the automation of large seeds sowing of fruit vegetables and rootstocks. Moreover, the seeding efficiency was examined to find the optimum operating condition considering high precision seeding. The important operating factors for high seeding rate were typically nozzle diameter and absorbing vacuum pressure. The optimum nozzle diameters were found 1.5, 1.5 and 2.0 mm for Chambak, Tuktozwa and Hukjong while the optimum vacuum pressures were 8.0㎪, 10.6㎪ and 5.3㎪, respectively. Under the optimum operating condition, the results indicated that the maximum seeding rates were 97.6%, 98.8% and 97.6% respectively for Chambak Tuktozwa and Hukjong. The vibrating acceleration of the hopper did not make any significant effects on the seeding rate when the vacuum pressure reached 8.0㎪ and the sowing rate became higher with lighter seed. As the seed became heavier, the larger diameter of nozzle was recommended 1.5mm of the nozzle diameter was found to be applied for the experimental seeds. The vacuum pressure was also found 8.0㎪ - 13.3㎪ at that time.

  • Currently, the needs of open standard and integrated network, and also applications of Ethernet network based system are increasing. By applying and expanding TCP/IP based network technology from high to low control level, factory automation application has been implemented, and thus integrated factory automation system has been accomplished, which is directly interoperable between high level management program and DB system. This paper proposes a communication control device which is based on Ethernet/IP standard system for factory automation. The proposed system is workable in the environment of a network system, which is based on CIP standard interface technology. The proposed system can also contribute to improve data communication characteristics.
